Overall, it was great. We loved the pool and although we would have preferred breakfast not to be self serve, it was still lovely and lots of choice. The staff were fantastic, expected cleaning staff and reception staff. It was within walking distance to Newquay with a gorgeous view of the sea and right next to a Tesco which was incredibly handy. We would definitely stay here again.

The ground floor room was very noisy and there were no blinds or nets for privacy, even though the room was overlooked by the bar, the terrace and the apartments next door. We had to keep the curtains shut at times and the fan on to block out the noise of people in the corridor and in the room above us. It was also stifling in the room even though no radiators were on.

Amazing location - Beautiful sea view room close to town, lots of restaurants and local attractions Staff very friendly and helpful - very accommodating of my son and myself. Particularly the housekeeping staff who offered to hoover when son spilt crumbs on the floor - she also noticed birthday cards in the room and wished me a happy birthday. Loved using the indoor pool freely - although at busier times it can get quite cramped Buffet style breakfast was well stocked and filling Both me and my son have said we’d like to return next year to visit this hotel!

As above the pool can get a bit full at busier times On the first night I think it was busier and we could hear the people next door - the walls seemed to carry noise through. Although it was also a stormy night so that affected sleep. The other two nights we slept soundly and didn’t hear much noise.

Modern, feels like it’s been recently renovated. Great location- and even better sea view from the bedroom window. only about a 10 minute walk away from the centre. Indoor pool - you can sit on one side and the other side is deep. Evening entertainment when coach parties stay at the hotel. Food at the restaurant is delicious and staff are very friendly and efficient.

Pool cleanliness- one day it was being mopped and I think the mop was old as there was an unpleasant smell in the area after that. parking very tight, but I understand there’s nothing you can do about it. luckily it wasn’t full when we were there so had space to manoeuvre. charging £5 per day might be a little excessive.

We loved the cleanliness and comfort of the room. Bed was very comfy. Ample towels and toiletries.. Plus a lovely sea view. Was happy that there was a lift. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Well stocked bar. Nice sunny back terrace. We did not use swimming pool but were informed by other guests that it was very good.

The breakfast overall was OK. BUT the eggs were fried and left in a heated help yourself container. In fact the cooked breakfast was buffet style. My husband remarked that the eggs were inedible and could have been used as movie props!! So suggest cooking eggs to order.

Great staff. We arrived quite early arround 6:30am as we were traveling from London. So we thought let's keep our bags at hotel and Rome arround. Brendon was really helpful. He allow us to keep our bags also helpful in giving info about city and arround places. So we came back in couple of hours as we thought to visit nearby town until room gets ready. Receptionist said will get your room ready no worries. Julie and other lady was amazing. The other lady's smile made us feel just another home. Again she was so helpful. Shout-out to housekeeping staff as well. Overall all of you guys made our stay so wonderful and memorable. Thanks again.

All the staff has been very helpful, friendly, polite and smiling, reassuring. The view from the room was beautiful. We had a strong rainy day, and we could not really go out, but the view from the window was still worth every penny. The breakfast was amazing. Beautifully refurbished lounge, bar, restaurant area. During our holiday in Cornwall, we stayed in 3 different hotels with 3 different price ranges, and Kilbirnie Hotel was the one where price and value have been the best if not underpriced. Very happy to visit this hotel again.

Hotel was clean and modern, outdoor and indoor pool was great for days that were not so sunny. Can not complement all the staff(not just reception) enough they were by far the most friendly and helpful staff we have had at any hotel. Breakfast was lovely too! Will definitely look to book here again and recommend.

Nothing, no complaints everything was great… unless you can tell the seagulls to be quiet early in the morning.

I was very happy with my room, and the views. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel so can't comment on the food. But I really enjoyed my stay and would like to go back. Parking was fine and at £5 per day I thought that was OK to pay. Lovely Hotel, nice staff and beautiful views.

If I had to be picky, would just be when I went out for the day I was concerned I wouldn't be able to park when I got back, but being in March I was fine. Whether it would be the same in the peak season I can't comment. But I had no issues.

Goog location for most amenities and beaches. We were welcomed by friendly staff and quickly checked in. Plenty of parking. The sea facing room was clean and warm, tea/coffee facilities and tv were all good. Although we never used the indoor pool, it did look clean and inviting, Good choice for breakfast. Staff were great. We had planned the Saturday evening to stay and have dinner at the hotel, when I asked at reception tobookd a table I was told that there was a private party and it would not be possible. But later on when We were struggling to find a restaurant in town the lovely lady on reception went all out and sneaked us table for two in the private party, where we we very well looked after and had a lovely Christmas dinner,. Definitely return here again.

The room was very small and compact The soundproofing seemed very poor. We could hear the people in the next room chatting and moving around. When we booked through Booking.com, we were unaware that on both nights that there were private Christmas parties on both nights in the restaurant. It was all well organised and did not spoil our stay. Just would have been nice to know

Entertainment 4 nights . Locality Breakfast.just missing black pudding and mushrooms 😁 Special mention to young barman taking over, nice guy.

Only 1 bedside cabinet. Small table would have been nice for drinks in window area. No shelf in bathroom for toiletries. No switch for lights directly above dressing table. Evening meal should have been served hot,not luke warm.(lasagna).
