the Wayford Bridge Inn is a jewell in the heart of Norfolk, Nick and his fantastic team are a credit to hospitality, really warm and welcoming and lots of fun. our room was spotless and spacious, big comfy bed, lots of tea, coffee and lush biscuits, bathroom quite big and very clean, lovely veiw from our window. tasty hot breakfasts, restaurant dinners excellent with good choice of meals and plentiful, the bar well stocked ( you have to try the Midway ), the patio area to relax on was very clean and gets lots of sun.the Wayford is in a great location for getting on the Broads, to Cromer, Norwich and Great Yarmouth, trains fares are good prices and are regular, Wroxham is a really nice place to chill and is 10 mins down the road. we had a fabulous week at the hotel, thank you Nick and team for making our stay thoroughly enjoyable, we hope to come back soon, just wish we lived nearer.

We absolutely love the Wayford Bridge Inn — it’s become a firm favourite of ours whenever we visit the area. The setting is simply idyllic, right by the river, with beautiful views whether you’re sitting inside or enjoying the outdoor terrace on a warm day. It’s the kind of place where you can instantly relax and soak up the charm of the Norfolk Broads. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff who always make you feel valued as a guest. There’s a great mix of locals and visitors, which gives the place a lovely buzz without ever feeling crowded or rushed. The food is consistently excellent. We’ve sampled a good range of dishes from the menu over the years — from hearty classics to more refined specials — and have never been disappointed. Everything is freshly prepared, well presented, and generously portioned. The fish and seafood options, in particular, are a highlight, as you’d expect from a riverside inn. Drinks are equally well catered for, with a good selection of wines, local ales, and spirits. The staff are always happy to offer recommendations, which is a nice touch. Whether we’re stopping off for a leisurely lunch, a cosy dinner, or just a drink by the water, the Wayford Bridge Inn delivers every time. It’s a place we look forward to returning to — time and again.

Nothing to fault at all. Every visit has been thoroughly enjoyable and met — if not exceeded — our expectations. Long may that continue!

The location of the property was excellent with plenty of parking. The staff were all excellent, professional and attentive they couldn’t do enough for us as we were getting together as a far flung family for a family funeral nearby. All meals including breakfast were completely served to you with no self help involved it made a refreshing change and was duly recognised Wayford Bridge Inn Hotel was the perfect place to meet up and would recommend to all

The only downfalls were bedrooms 6–15 were upstairs and was a little difficult for my wife who has mobility problems and the double bed left a little to be desired as far as comfort was concerned The mattress felt a little over used however didn’t detract too much from our overall stay

A first class experience from the beginning. Check in was easy and the staff were very professional and welcoming. Lovely large room with a comfy bed and everything you need for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was top quality and cooked to order. An ideal location for visiting the beach, broads or local towns and right by the river. It is by a busy main road although after being out all day, I had a peaceful sleep and the traffic noise soon faded away.

Only staying one night and wish I could have stayed longer although I will be returning now I have found this gem.

The building and the decor were lovely. It was also in a great location.

The service at dinner was not great. Several items on the menu were not available at 7.30pm but we weren’t told about them until we tried to order them. Our waiter was quite sullen and his customer service skills were very lacking. We also had to wait about 40 minutes for our starters and they appeared as soon as I asked about them again, so had probably been sitting in the kitchen for some time. However, the food was very good and the staff at breakfast were very friendly and attentive.

The ambience and atmosphere here were really pleasant. It had a warm feeling especially in the lounge areas. The hotel was busy without feeling crowded. The rooms were clean, comfortable and of a decent size. I would recommend this hotel. Its probably the best in the immediate vicinity

I think the breakfast experience was a bit hit and miss. The staff seemed to rush around too much. I think it would pay to set a buffet breakfast for cereals, continental items and the like leaving any cooked items to order.This would make it much easier to manage and probably more relaxed for guests. being pickky the quality of the sausages and bacon left a bit to be desired. They both had that attribute of having been cooked a long time before being served, the bacon was dried out and hard.

Cannot fault the location, and the cleanliness. The building is lovely, well decorated and immaculate. All facilities in room - hair dryer, iron, extra pillows, fan, kettle etc etc. Peaceful spot but only a short drive to plenty of restaurants, cafes, museums etc. We had a breakfast on our last day at the lovely Veras tearoom at the farm shop next door, highly recommend.

Service in the restaurant at both dinner and breakfast was extremely slow, despite there being only 2 tables in. The staff were very friendly and polite so this is not a personal criticism of them, but would maybe benefit from a bit of extra training or improved processes (coffee with no offer of milk, toast with no offer of butter or anything else etc) we had to ask for everything, and they did oblige with a smile, and they did apologise each time, but it basically meant we were waiting around a fair bit when the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. They also seemed a little flustered when asked for a vegetarian breakfast (even though it’s on the menu). Not a bad experience but room for improvement I guess as it’s the only thing that let the stay down. I would stay again!

The room was very clean comfortable. We really liked bar/lounge/dining areas, which were divided into smaller spaces and made it feel very cosy and welcoming. The staff were all friendly and help and made us welcome. They serve good pub food, but we felt the choices could be improved.

The menu concentrates on meat dishes - given it's only a few miles from the coast it would be nice to have at least one locally caught fish option on the specials board, along with more local produce and veggie options at breakfast.

The Wayford Bridge Inn exceeded all our expectations, thanks to the exceptional hospitality of the manager and staff. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful, attentive service throughout our stay, every detail was handled with care and professionalism. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable, and the restaurant offered delicious, well-prepared meals served with a genuine smile. The staff consistently went above and beyond to make us feel at home, creating a cosy and inviting atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we’ll certainly be back for another visit!

Nothing detracted from the stay

The staff were very friendly with nothing being too much trouble. The Garden rooms were a good size and quiet. We were visiting Norfolk for a long weekend for a friends 70th birthday celebration. We were one of five couples that stayed at the Waybridge, all of whom said they would definitely stay there again if they visited the area in the future. The breakfasts we had were all very good, as were the sandwiches which were available in the afternoon / early evening. On the Saturday night we had a table for 12 booked and we were all pleased with the service / our meals.
