I stayed for one night whilst away with work. I had a room overlooking the hills which was beautiful, with lovely flowers along the windowsill outside. Unfortunately breakfast started at 7.30am which was too late for me, however without asking a member of staff offered me some food and a bottle of water to take away with me on my travels. The evening meal was lovely and the owner of the hotel came over and had a chat. Very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!

The breakfast was absolutely Fantastic as was the rest of the food THE best steak and ale pie I have ever had, and the fish and chips was like having a whale on your plate, Stuart and the rest of the Staff where lovely and extremely friendly and helpful. I will be Back without a doubt

Nothing I'd change at all fantastic hotel in a beautiful little old town, I would highly recommend to anyone (and have done)

From arrival to departure, me and my husband felt 100% looked after. Very friendly, cosy environment on the restaurant part of the hotel, amazing breakfast, very comfortable and relaxing room with a fantastic, daily upkeep, not to mention how incredible the staff were. Couldn't recommend it more and we'll definitely be going back!

Nothing to mention in this section; absolutely loved everything!

The property is on a quiet road on the edge of Oldmeldrum and is a traditional pub style but with very modern rooms. Plenty of off street parking and a well cared for exterior. The room was spacious and airy and very clean with a lovely modern bathroom and open aspect with balcony to the side of the property, not overlooked. Staff were excellent, friendly and super accommodating. I had specific dietary requirements during my trip - a strict Keto style. My initial disappointment when I realised breakfast was continental style (my fault for not reading the small print) and so would not serve me doing Keto, nor would it keep me going through lunch on the course I was attending close by, was more than turned around when the owner made exceptional efforts to provide me with more appropriate food. Not only did he arrange for a special breakfast for me but he then appeared quite unexpectedly at my course venue with a packed lunch for me on day 1 and presented me with the same on the two subsequent mornings of my stay! I simply could not have asked for or even dreamed of such a caring and considerate service! When realising it was also my birthday during my visit, he also went out of his way to ensure I had a great evening meal with my colleagues and even presented me with a birthday card and memento of my stay as a gift! I cannot praise them highly enough at the Redgarth for going the extra mile for me and ensuring I had the best experience as a solo traveller on my first visit to this property.

The property are not dog friendly in the bedrooms (allowed in the bar). If they allowed dogs to stay I would definitely bring the family and dogs to stay for a holiday trip.

On late arrival we were made so welcome by the proprietor, shown to our, modern clean room with balcony. All facilities in our room meet our needs, spotless and I’m very fussy. Both evenings we ate in Redgarth, the food was so delicious best I’ve tasted in a longtime, amazing chef. Service was excellent. we couldn’t have picked a better place with lively relaxed, cosy atmosphere. The owner is so lovely and made sure all our needs were met, he takes pride in his business. definitely return when back this way.

The Redgarth is beautiful to look at both outside and in. The bar/pub restaurant area is very cosy and warm, and the accommodation part of the inn is exceptionally clean, modern and well decorated. The room felt homely, and was very spacious, which made us feel incredibly comfortable. The bed was exceptional and I haven't had such a great sleep in a long time. The bathroom was beautiful and modern with a lovely bath and powerful shower (which is key). The balcony was lovely to sit on and enjoy the sun for the short time we were there. The staff and the manager/owner were very friendly, chatty and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and fresh, my fiance had a fruit salad which we could tell was fresh fruit cut up and not just out of a packet. The location was perfect for a wedding we were attending nearby, and it is only a 20/30 minute drive into Aberdeen, so was perfect when nipping into town. 100% would return.

There is nothing to not like. Genuinely a fantastic place to stay.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Restaurant was good value traditional fare. Breakfast was excellent.

No real negative points. Air conditioning in bedroom would have been good. Steps to the entrance and stairs to the bedrooms may be difficult for some guests.
