I stayed in a Deluxe King Room with a beautiful sea view at the Lord Nelson Hotel, I was greeted with a warm smile from the lovely lady at the front desk, who was more than helpful. The room was lovely, clean and very comfortable. The ambiance of the restaurant throughout the day/night was warm and inviting. The food was excellent and the staff truly went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, they were friendly, informative and very attentive. Upon my departure I decided to have a Sunday Dinner in the restaurant sat by a hand lit fire, it is truly one of a kind and not to be missed. I would highly recommend The Lord Nelson to be apart of anyone’s visit to Milford Haven.

We loved the decor - dark and cool, with fun animal-themed paintings - and the staircase. It was a relaxing place to be, and particularly easy on the eyes. In the room, we loved the view out over the bay, and the comfortable, big beds! In the morning we enjoyed a vegetarian-friendly breakfast that was delicious. We were very happy to hear that dogs are allowed, so next time we shall bring our boys with us. A fantastic base for exploring the area.

It would have been nicer to have a wider range of options for breakfast, but what was there suited us perfectly. In the room, it would have been nice if we could have had the window open for airflow due to how warm it was. Also, the toilet seat slid a bit but was manageable.

Location great , breakfast great , staff excellent particularly Dorian who was available throughout our stay. Bed was small but comfortablle and sheets were pristine .

Room was under process of upgrade but we werent made aware of this before arrival . Appearance of hotel could show ongoing improvements of a good standard. Our room was quite small and certain areas were in need of attention. Room was listed as standard King Size but clearly only a double and so we didnt sleep particularly well . Shower head needed replacing, extractor in bathroom was not working, cap on toilet flush was missing, there was a 2inch gap under the fire door. There was only 1 plug not already in use available in the room. The decor was clearly due an upgrade , both carpets and walls.

lovely hotel with wonderful staff that made us feel so welcome and nothing was to much trouble. Well done to all the staff. We asked for extra milk and another pillow which was no problem from a member of staff. Bar and reception staff are very friendly. The room was very big, newly refurbished and very clean. We paid £10 for breakfast which was beautifully cooked.

If I am being picky I would have liked 2 hand towels in the room and more coat hangers. I'm sure if I had asked for another hand towel it would have been provided. The view from our window was classed as sea view, which in a way it was, but you had to go right up to the window to see the sea from a side view. Parking is limited in the car park. You can park outside the front free from 6pm-8am or 1hr during the day, also there is a car park behind the hotel charging £3 for 24hrs.

A very welcoming hotel where nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The bed was large and very comfortable and the breakfast tasted excellent. There were six of us in varying different rooms and all said the hotel was good value for money.

Whilst the breakfast tasted good, the portion sizes were tiny given I only asked for scrambled egg. I got the impression the lady that served us was reluctant to ask the chef for more when asked. The bedroom also needs a drinking glass. Sipping cold water from a teacup & saucer at 4 am was odd. The window needs fixing so it stays open to allow fresh air into the room. If you look closely at my photo you can see I have propped it open with a motorcycle boot.

Very clean, looked recently refurbished. Room was good size, very comfortable bed and the shower was powerful and because it was over a bath there was plenty of room. Great choice in breakfast, and excellent evening menu.

Though our room was very good, the window catch was broken so we couldnt lock it shut. Room 108 is over the large kitchen extractor which started about 6am each morning so it was very noisy. We got used to it so didnt bother to complain. Room 122 our daughter was in was excellent, apart from faint high pitch buzzing sound (we guessed from same extractor fan)

All staff were welcoming, friendly and positive. A friend had an evening meal with me - we had same food - very enjoyable, but also very filling and my friend is less than half my age!! As one of the ancients of the planet I don't eat large quantities, so had the small breakfast - it lasted me nearly all day!! My only - and very personal - difficulty was that the shower was over the bath. I prefer a walk in - stepping into a bath is not good for me!

The private car park is very limited - my car was left on the street overnight - no problems. Otherwise, only the shower over the bath!

Fantastic customer service from manager/Charlotte Griffiths when instead of arriving in time for the restaurant from the Rosslare-Pembroke ferry, we ended up arriving in the early hours of the night before as our ferry was brought forward (due to technical reasons). A couple on our ferry wish they'd pre-booked there too. Car parking space was a warm welcome. Loved the beautiful art and design in this high-standard pub/hotel. Full breakfast was lovely, so we were sorry to have missed out on the planned evening meal which we'd booked on the strength of. Then we out to walked out to find they have a new cellar bar and the amazing harbour of Milford Haven with thriving businesses and community just minutes walk away.

N/a - would love to stay again to try out the Nelson Suite or the Graham Sutherland Suite.

The staff were amazing. My parents are elderly and my dad uses a mobility scooter after a fall last year. Although it doesn't have a lift, the staff couldn't have been more helpful, even purchasing a bath slip mat specially for them for getting into the bath to shower, even though they would have to throw it away when we left as they are not allowed to use again. The food is brilliant value for money...and the breakfast choice was brilliant. the rooms were clean, a good size and very comfy bed.

thinking abut elderly, they would have preferred a walk-in shower rather than trying to get into the bath to shower. I am not sure if they have rooms with walk-ins - they may well have, but as some of the hotel is being refurbished, it might be worth bearing in mind
