Clean and comfortable room with en-suite and a lovely powerful shower. Plenty of storage in room to unpack and put stuff if you’re staying for a few nights. Breakfast was help yourself continental with a big choice of cereals, bread, cereal bars and pastries. Great location very close to sea front and town with an array of shops. Emma greeted me on arrival, very friendly and was on hand if I had any queries. Would definitely stay here again.

Could have done with a mirror in the bedroom. There was only one and that was on the bathroom wall. WiFi signal was also hit and miss.

Loved the location. Central for everything and a short walk to beach. Porthcawl is a lovely place to explore. No noise from street etc. Great nights sleep in comfy bed. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Continental breakfast suited me fine.

Parking can be an issue, however there is a car park behind Mary House. Free between 6pm and 8am. The tv being up at the side of the bed. However this did not spoil my stay.

The room was clean, we were able to have an early check in, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is superb.

The room wasn't decorated as advertised however we were given an early check in so this may have been the reason we were provided with this room. There was plenty of options for continental breakfast but I would have liked there to be a buffet breakfast and someone serving. Nevertheless, the place was clean and the hosts were friendly.

What a lovely place, went for husbands' birthday only one night, staff lovely, room was so cosy, had everything you needed, towels, soap,tv, kettle with plenty of hot drinks Husband suffers with bad back and legs, emailed owner , she gave us a room on ground floor , had ensuite, room 11,by front door and nxt to breakfast room, we didn't book breakfast but it looked well stocked up, help yourself service,, cereals, toaser, hot water boiler,etc. Parked behind, just through a short lane, then you're in the shops. Really enjoyed our stay, would highly recommend so quiet too.Even had a little seating area outside patio doors.😁 very good price❤️

Nothing to dislike.

Everything was spotless. My bed was super-comfortable but the other guest was so tired, he doesn't remember whether his was comfortable or not. The shower was straightforward to operate and nice & warm. The Co-op is just around the corner and the seafront a couple minutes' walk down the road.

Only the weak wifi, but on this occasion we were only there to sleep, so not really bothered.

The B and B was in a perfect location for us in Porthcawl, right next to the beach, town, coffee shops and funfair The room was very spacious, modern and clean. There was a large hanging space for clothes with pently of clothes hangers. There was a big TV with lots of channels, with nice big windows keeping the room cool.

Everything in Porthcawl seems to close by 10pm, so if you are looking for a lively time away it may not be for you.

Emma was really friendly and helpful. It was really good value for money overall. I would definitely stay again. The location was perfect for the purpose of my stay.

For the price, it would be churlish to complain about anything.

Close to everything, lqrge co-op a minute down the street which was so handy! Managed to get free on street parking just around the corner in Gordon Road which was great! There are also a couple of car parks within a few mins walk which is ideal. The host Emma was lovely, friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was nice.

Room was clean, but could do with updating, cupboard door needs repairing as loose, and shower needs to be updated as door does not close properly and shower base/ tray felt unsteady. Maybe in the summer could do with lightweight quilts on the beds as quite a warm room. Overall Mary House was a good budget B & B.

Was very clean , comfy bed , shower was good , fan was provided in the room , Emma was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect , there is parking out side if you can get a space , we parked just around the corner plenty of room to park nearby . Would stay here again .

The bathroom is a little out dated but this reflects in the price is really reasonable.
