Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely man on reception after a long drive it was nice to be greeted with such a warm welcome. Room was spacious and had everything we needed and lots of home comforts. Air conditioning was great as there’s nothing worse then sleeping in a hot room. Breakfast was nice some of the best hot chocolate the kids have had in a hotel and cooked breakfast. Lots of choice of cereal. A great hotel if you have a dog!! felt very welcome with our dog and lots of green open space for dogs to have there toilet time and a walk. Will definitely stay again!! Thankyou

The only negative we have and it didn’t effect us but the sofa bed could have done with a thicker mattress is ok if u have young children but if you had teenagers/adults it might not be so comfortable. Oh and husband would of liked abit more choice for cooked breakfast.

Good range of choice for Breakfast - continental & cooked breakfast available as well as hot & cold drinks Location was handy for M6 and where we needed to go and it was really quite considering how close to the motorway we were

I stripped the bed the following morning to assist the cleaning staff and wasn't too happy about the under bedding - although it looked more like a hot drink had been spilt rather than something worse. We got locked out of our room when we went for breakfast so I assume some of the keys had been cleared as though the room had been checked out. Staff apologised and sorted a replacement key quickly

The hotel is situated right off the M6 at the junction with the M65 is a great location if travelling by car. Reception staff were very welcoming when I arrived, and when I had to change room due to an issue with electrical power in the one allocated, to getting me another room. The rooms are bright, spacious, have more than adequate lighting and power outlets, as I find many hotels have very few. You can appreciate the sound proofing which is excellent, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was again bright, spacious, well laid out, and the shower was top notch with ample toiletries. Breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful, plenty of choice for coffee and juices and a pleasant restaurant area.

The lift didn't work which wasn't great and the evening meal menu was limited.

The staff were smart and well presented. We were properly welcomed and the check in was fast. The room was excellent and the shower/bathroom was very nice. I also love that the breakfast is included.

The way some guests are allowed to bully the staff. Please, when you have rude, difficult guests, just check them out. You have no obligation to meet their demands particularly when those demands are unreasonable. And if they cannot conduct themselves cordially in the reception area, believe me, they will not treat their room or the other guests with any more respect. I'm fed up with having to put up with mouthy, entitled people who think the world owes them a living.

Everything, except one thing. Just one thing.

Fire alarm sounding for about two minutes around 6.20am. People evacuated the building but were back within a couple of minutes. I spoke to one guy as I was leaving, and he said that he was the only person outside. Obviously, it's an essential safety feature, and it's essential for one's own well-being to respond accordingly. The issue is that there was no information from staff. No explanation. Nothing. Hopefully, this is a very rare occurrence because I am envisaging staying there again.

Spacious room, comfortable bed and modern clean bathroom. The help-yourself breakfast was varied and plentiful despite being very busy. An ice machine was useful near to the room. The staff were friendly and helpful.

It felt a bit impersonal with the vast reception morphing into the leisure area it felt a bit like an airport lounge. There were no extra facilities for our dog despite the extra charge. We had to take her out the front of the hotel from the room at night.

I don’t know where to begin. The whole experience was amazing from check in to check out . The staff were friendly and helpful.The room was huge and spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Wonderful large shower and great bathroom with hot water at any time of day . Comfy clean bed . Large tv and free Wi-Fi . The breakfast was exceptional , the best quality food cooked to perfection . A great choice of place to stay for our trip up north to visit family and friends . We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and recommend to our family and friends

Not a complaint , just me being fussy , but I would like the large bowls of cereals to be covered

I wouldn't usually bother reviewing a place where we were only staying one night en-route to Scotland, but I was so impressed with the staff and hotel I felt compelled to. From the friendly staff at check in and on the bar, to the facilities themselves (bar, breakfast area, room, bathroom products etc. all fantastic), this dog-friendly hotel is excellent for the price. Really impressed and thanks for making our 500 mile journey with a dog and a four-year much more bearable! Will definitely be back.

Our only slight criticism was the sofa bed being a bit flimsy but that's minor for now as our four year old didn't mind.

The hotel is fantastic. 1 minute off the M6 and they take dogs!! What is not to like. The staff on reception are fantastic and all the staff were so loving to our dog. It was great and we certainly WILL be back!

There were a few things we didn't like. The heating in the room was broken, but a bloke on reception explained what was going on and gave us a portable heater. There was also constant noise all night from what sounded like a heat pump?? Luckily we take earplugs everywhere, but if we didn't, sleep would have been near impossible. There was also roadworks kicking off at around 7am.

It's a lovely hotel, bright, airy, clean, hotel with lovely decor, good breakfast and helpful staff. Lovely room, comfy beds, great shower. Parking is plentiful and the facilities are good.

The only thing that let it down was the standard of double glazing. The windows are clearly tired and there was a draught coming through them (we had two rooms) which meant that the road noise was very intrusive. I actually thought the window must have been open, but it wasn't.
