I requested a room downstairs but there were some stairs to climb which my husband found a bit hard. It was a nice room but very expensive for what we got, one family room weekdays £150..And £12 each for Breakfast. [£186.] in total. Breakfast was ok but we requested vegetarian sausages, and were told we will get it but we did not get any in the morning, my son did not like tin tomato. Very nice lady welcomed us and helped my husband with the suitcase. No drinking water supplied in room. Only 3 teabags and 3 milk sachets and sugar sachets. OK I suppose.

I would have liked the room a bit cheaper as it was a basic room with no carpet and need refurbishment. No telephone in room. No drinking water in room and minimal beverage facilities. Although there was a bar downstairs in the hotel.

I must say it exceeded my expectations in every way. The property was exceptionally clean, making for a very comfortable and pleasant stay. The parking facilities were also excellent, offering ample space and easy access, which is always a significant plus. The staff were courteous and helpful, ensuring that all my needs were met promptly. The amenities provided were top-notch, and everything functioned exceptionally well, from the Wi-Fi to the room appliances. The attention to detail and the quality of service truly enhanced my overall experience. Overall, my stay was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and found it to be a perfect blend of comfort and convenience. I would definitely come back and stay again in the future. Highly recommended!

The weather

The hotel was lovely and close to amenities, Staff were friendly and helpful, check-in and out were quick and efficient. Lots of free parking on site too, in a lovely area and good value for money. Thank you.

The room was a little tired and in need of some TLC and definitely too small for 3 beds as the bedside tables were moved to the other side of the room to accommodate the extra bed. The extra bed was also a camp bed and not a proper single as the description stated, not ideal for my Daughter who is 5ft 9, but ok for one night. Would have liked a few drawers to unpack into as had to live out of our suitcases. The bathroom needed a shower screen and hook on the wall so we could use the shower instead of filling 3 baths and the light over the sink didn't work. The bedding and pillows need upgrading as too thin, extra pillows and blankets in the cupboard would sort this as the room was cold so had to use coats, but otherwise a nice basic room, at the back with a decent view.

As I was travelling alone I only needed a small room, the room I had was perfectly adequate for my needs, a good size double bed which was very comfortable, a dresser/desk with coffee and tea provided, a wardrobe to hang clothes in. The en-suite shower room and toilet were a little small but again, adequate for my needs as a solo traveller, there were some complimentary shower gel tubes and some soap. The reception was clean and tidy, the staff pleasant and helpful, the breakfast bar area was also neat and simple, breakfast is available at an additional cost but I didn't use this facility. There is ample free parking. Overall I was very satisfied with the hotel and its facilities, it is only a 5 - 10 minute walk from Gidea Park railway station on the Elizabeth Line so travel into London is quick and easy, Romford town centre is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel with Main Road having a regular bus route serving it

With my particular room, the only thing that I would have liked were some draws for storing clothes in.

The lady at reception when I arrived and left was so polite and kind, very welcoming. Great first impression. The room was great, clean and tidy with comfy and nice shower. I messaged in the morning and asked for an earlier check-in, which I was granted (this really helped me), and to my delight I was upgraded to a bigger room with a balcony! Location is great also, 10 minutes walk from Gidea Park.

My one, very silly request...I woke up thirsty in the night, and one or two small bottles of drinking water in the fridge would've been great...I had to drink tap water (fine, I just don't like it). Really I have no actual complaints about the hotel, it was great.

Staff were amazing. The purpose of our visit was to visit our sister in The Queens Hospital romford. 4 family members. We booked two double rooms. On the morning of our travel we were asked by gidea park if we’d like to stay in their apartment 2 beds 2 baths so we agreed. This apartment situated next to the hotel was super amazing clean spacious and ground floor opened on to a large lovely garden.. staff were so helpful throughout our stay and so very kind to us. We booked this for our next trip a week later and they checked if we could have apartment and fixed a reduced price for us also as we called them direct. They said we could pay on arrival. At the last minute we had to cancel as our sister got moved hospitals so i rang them apologising and they cancelled no charge. Its a great place and we had breakfast at the Harvester 3 mins walk away which was also brilliant. I’d say if you dont know already register for ULEZ charge which applies in romford…we didnt know and were fined £90 x 4

We enjoyed our stay at The Gidea Park Hotel, on this our first occasion, the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms clean, modern and comfortable - the bathroom was a particular treat with modern features and a generously-sized shower, which we thoroughly enjoyed using - we had a good night's sleep each night, have no complaints at all and hope to make The Gidea Park Hotel a repeated choice of accommodation for future visits to Essex. Our thanks to all the staff, we are looking forward to next time. It is worth noting that although in photographs it looks as if parking is at a premium, there is in fact access to the rear of the hotel which offers ample parking space.

There is NOTHING to complain about with The Gidea Park Hotel if you are a reasonable, sensible person who assesses the hotel for the type and grade of hotel it is and for the range of services it offers. If you expect a five star 'Sheraton' or 'Hilton' experience you may be disappointed, so it is pointless and unfair to assess it on that level, but if you expect comfortable 'bed and breakfast' accomodation then The Gidea Park Hotel is well worth a visit. We had not been there before but will stay there again I am sure.

From arrival to departure all the staff were excellent friendly & helpful making our stay perfect. The Breakfast was also excellent freshly cooked with excellent choice. The hotel room, bathroom, bar & dining area were spotlessly clean, a credit to the hard working staff. The hotel also provided plenty of car parking spaces & the public bus & train services were closeby. The location was also perfect for our stay, would definately recommend Many thanks

They allowed us to check in early at no extra cost and they were very accommodating about this as we had had a long journey to get there. They staff were great, helpful and friendly. It is in a very convenient area with good amenities.

We were surprised at how small the room was. We had two suitcases and two other bags and there was very little space to put them. I had to keep my suitcase in the bathroom which was pretty difficult as the bathroom was long and narrow with not much space. It had a modern TV and came equipped with a hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.
