We enjoyed our stay at The Gidea Park Hotel, on this our first occasion, the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms clean, modern and comfortable - the bathroom was a particular treat with modern features and a generously-sized shower, which we thoroughly enjoyed using - we had a good night's sleep each night, have no complaints at all and hope to make The Gidea Park Hotel a repeated choice of accommodation for future visits to Essex. Our thanks to all the staff, we are looking forward to next time. It is worth noting that although in photographs it looks as if parking is at a premium, there is in fact access to the rear of the hotel which offers ample parking space.

There is NOTHING to complain about with The Gidea Park Hotel if you are a reasonable, sensible person who assesses the hotel for the type and grade of hotel it is and for the range of services it offers. If you expect a five star 'Sheraton' or 'Hilton' experience you may be disappointed, so it is pointless and unfair to assess it on that level, but if you expect comfortable 'bed and breakfast' accomodation then The Gidea Park Hotel is well worth a visit. We had not been there before but will stay there again I am sure.

They allowed us to check in early at no extra cost and they were very accommodating about this as we had had a long journey to get there. They staff were great, helpful and friendly. It is in a very convenient area with good amenities.

We were surprised at how small the room was. We had two suitcases and two other bags and there was very little space to put them. I had to keep my suitcase in the bathroom which was pretty difficult as the bathroom was long and narrow with not much space. It had a modern TV and came equipped with a hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.

The best thing about the hotel was the staff( Very Helpful) We found the bathroom compact ( I am 6ft tall and they immediately changed it, they didn't clean the room, and when we gave the bin bags they gave us spare bin bags for the room and fresh towels. but to be fair- They were quite busy this weekend. The breakfast was amazing, breakfast room is at the front with sunshine flowing into the room, there is also free parking at the front and back of the hotel. There is a park bench at the front where you can sit and enjoy the sun- North facing. Restaurant -there is a Chinese not too far away with amazing food and a park 10 minutes away, with ducks- quite picturesque and serene. The Town centre 20minutes away-in all quite a pleasant stay.

Very nice hotel, warm friendly welcome and a spotlessly clean room. Didn't use bar / restaurant facilities but looked fine. Ideal for a base if visiting London, especially now the Elizabeth Line serves the area.

My room was directly next to the reception entrance and opposite what seemed to be a utilities cupboard so noise was to be expected as staff carried out their duties. However there appeared to be what sounded like a washing machine on very early in the morning which reverberating around the room.

Great little room, very clean, nice touches with fridge, tea and coffee, free wifi that worked, free parking round the back, exceptional bathroom with truly excellent tiling, shower a little lack lustre due to low water pressure, very easy level access to Gidea Park station and swift access to London centre on the Elizabeth Line. Book in was easy and the whole stay was very pleasant and good value. Highly recommended for short breaks. A+5*

Cant fault this hotel one bit. It was perfect for my 2 night stay. Room wasn’t big but in this cold weather a smaller room holds the heat better and the radiators were very hot. Room had a smart tv with Netflix etc & very good free WiFi in 5G. Bathroom was perfect with a very powerful shower. Plenty of plug sockets in room with USB ports each side of bed. Free parking front & back in a very good location, supermarket shops within walking distance. As I said can’t fault this hotel, it’s a hidden gem well worth the money and definitely a place I’ll be returning to!

Nothing - perfect for the price

I booked a single room and whilst it was small (which I expected since it was a single room) and pretty basic, it had everything I needed and was very clean. The bed was comfortable, an extra pillow was available, the bathroom was spotless and the staff at reception was friendly. I didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. I slept extremely well and overall the hotel was fantastic value for money. I would definitely stay again!

If I’m really nitpicking, it was a little noisy in the morning and it would have been nice to have biscuits in the room and maybe a towel rail/hook in the bathroom. But these are minor details which would absolutely not prevent me from returning!

Staff were really helpful and flexible to my needs Bed was comfortable Parking was a bonus for the area On bus route for town but for me more important for me to visit queens hospital. I did get cold in the afternoon but after speaking to reception they increased temperature.. instantly resolved.

No meal available at night. (I did mention on my arrival that I had previously booked a different local hotel and found out they didn't have evening meals available. I'm sure I rang to double check they had evening meals available hence cancelling a cheaper hotel. But having seen the outside of the other hotel glad I changed. Hard chairs - in the bar area and room Rooms are small but ok once I accepted it, it is what it is 5a was noisy as its close to a stairway. Hall lights were slightly intrusive but movement sensors would help. Even though Ive added a few dislikes I would have absolutely no hesitation in booking in again. Overall great experience

Very little honestly. There was a bit of confusion when I checked in about my ID not being valid despite having been previously told it would suffice, but I think that was a miscommunication before arrival and was sorted out very swiftly

I was in Gidea Park Hotel for a total of 25 days, having originally planned to stay for 16 nights. The Hotel staff were incredibly friendly and understanding of my frequent extensions of stay (my daughter was 11days overdue with her pregnancy). The Hotel itself is very clean and located near bars, a Co-Op store and restaurants close by. Parking was never an isssue and offered for free. in short, a grateful thank you to the wonderful ladies at Gidea Park Hotel who helped me feel comfortable.
