We were a bit sceptical about booking here after seeing some of the reviews but it was the area we needed to be in so went ahead. Check-in was easy, there was 2 ladies on reception and both were so friendly, they offered to help us with our bags, told us about free Wi-fi, told us about breakfast and also told us about the bar, which we wasn`t expecting to be open but they explained they had moved it and it was fully operational again. We were surprised at the size of the room, it was big, had a dressing table, wardrobes, bedside cabinets, 2 comfy chairs and a coffee table and still space to move around easily. It was really clean and we did do extra checking, can`t fault it. We both had a lovely night`s sleep, the heating was neither too hot or too cold, also we had no problems with water when it came to getting showers. The hotel isn`t a modern hotel but it isn`t old fashioned either, it`s also very welcoming as soon as you walk into the reception, music playing, big comfy leather sofa`s and lovely smiles from the staff. We will definitely be back.

No restaurant in a evening, but they have said they will be extending there restaurant hours soon.

The staff were helpful and patient with my group, I really applaud that they were able to deal with 26 travellers hassle free, thank you and well done The rooms and areas were spacious and airy check-in was smooth Lots of parking spaces The vending machine was well stocked Breakfast was excellent and always ready on time

The beds were not well laid not enough tissues and the toilets were a bit dirty. The bath has some dirt too One of the rooms we booked had issues with the key, it would be nice if they work on this to avoid someone else having the issues, maybe changing the lock to a key. The rooms were not equivalent to the price in my opinion Wi-Fi was very slow Some things were broken like the wardrobe handle (but I'm glad we were not held responsible for stuff like this)

Wasn't expecting lots because of some previous reviews but was pleasantly surprised with the suite I was given, and the friendliness of the staff. Suite was large, clean and had a spa bath and a shower. Full English was included in the very reasonable price,

I had to pay an extra couple of quid per day for parking but that is fairly small fry in the grand scheme of things. The restaurant was closed at night to prepare for a large wedding reception on the Saturday. But there was an Indian restaurant right across the road, so not a problem.

I had a problem with the bedding and we qas loved to a suite on the top floor it was lovely it had a jacuzzi bath and very nicely decorated, I wouldn't stay in the first room we was given again but I would definitely stay in the suite again,

The fact we found spots of blood on the bed sheets in the first room we was given, I really don't think it was worth what we paid, but the second room was beautiful and I would stay again in that suite we was very relaxed after our long drive there, after a jacuzzi bath. We was very pleased with our second room.

The room was big enough and warm.. The bed was comfortable. Decent enogh for a nights stay.

At the time we stayed there were issues with the tv.

Stayed three times, and everything was perfect for what I needed. Well worth the money, it's not a 4 or 5 star. If I wanted that, I would have booked one, I just wanted a nice clean place to stay with comfortable beds. The rooms are very big, clean, plenty of facilities, my room on every occasion had two big wardrobes much bigger than I have at home, try finding them in other hotels, you won't. Car parking area is huge and safeI, and clean, like the whole area, no litter laying around. Very easy to get to from any direction, travel around 2 miles and you area at a shopping precinct, with a morrisons, etc. I will definitely use it again when I am in the area.

Everything from beginning to end Price was well within my budget. Important was the safe car parking at no extra cost, with no booking necessary. Check-in was faultless. The room was bigger than I expected, with a good-sized bathroom. A very big wardrobe with plenty of hangers, the kettle was a full size, unlike at other hotels where they are just big enough to make a couple of cup's, (I like my tea). The area around the hotel is quite pleasant and, above all, no traffic noise while trying to sleep. The bed i used was lovely and soft. The other had a bit of a squeak and a little harder. Luckily, I had a choice of two. To sum up, I will use the Consort Hotel again if I am in the area. Oh, and by BTW, the advert says you will need to pay a deposit for the TV remote. Well, they have changed, now you do not.

Full English breakfast was excellent, had only booked room and breakfast and cannot fault either,staff were friendly and very helpful, would definitely recommend the hotel and will stay again next time I am in the area 😀

Everything was OK

Lovely staff, clean room with very comfortable double bed. Actually I have stayed here 3 times now as a solo business traveller, and each time I have been impressed by the large clean bedroom with all the facilities I need.

Parking charge - but inexpensive thankfully! A coffee pot with real coffee at breakfast would be great, instead of the cheap coffee sachets provided.

The staff were very helpful and friendly.The room was really bright and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was spacious and very luxurious. The breakfast was very tasty and enjoyable.
