Easy check in with friendly receptionist. Very friendly staff, Megan and Maddie went above and beyond. Maddie helped us out with change for taxi to attend wedding. Megan was very helpful asking chef for amendments to menu. All staff we encountered were so friendly and lovely. Wish I could remember receptionist name, maybe Munzan ?? We talked about my husband getting his steps in, outside while I stood chatting to her, two mornings.. Really lovely young lady. All staff are a credit to the hotel. Also the food was spot on. Breakfast and dinner, perfect. If we have cause to come to Sheffield again, no hesitation..MercureParkway.

The hotel facilities were ideal, i chose a privilege room (well worth the extra) which was spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Bathroom facilities were good ... excellent soaking tub!!! and importantly spotless. The staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. There was a problem with the wifi strength which o needed for a video conference. The reception team sorted it by offering me the use of a conference room. Cannot praise the staff enough. Although i was visiting fir a funeral, i enjoyed the hotel facilities which made it feel like a weekend break!

If i had any complaint, it was the wifi strength in the room, whi h was sufficient for browsing but little else... see below for the assistance i received

Location for the Sheffield arena was brilliant. Breakfast was super and good value for money. All the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating especially Jordan & Michelle on morning reception. The hotel was also very accessible for my disability.

The only problem I encountered was the height of the bed in the accessible room I was allocated. It was very comfortable once I had scrambled into it but it was too high. I'm 5'5" and have mobility problems and the deep mattress just made the bed too high for me to get into comfortably or without help.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. As there was an event happening there was a large group of excited party goers checking in. They were quick to accommodate us and room in a quieter part of the hotel, having two young children with us. The lady at reception gave them a turn warning as there was I bit of bad language. We didn’t get her name but I can’t thank her enough for her professionalism and understanding. This is our second stay and we enjoyed it again. Clean and tidy. Happy polite staff. Thank you we can’t wait to come back

Good standard hotel, close to the motorway

We couldn't get into our room, so we had to be moved, which meant a little waiting around. It would have been normally OK, but it was late, and we had a long, uncomfortable drive. I didn't like the breakfast policy. Pay £12 to pre book or £17 if you just arrive. It forces you to have a breakfast you may not actually want in the morning, and there is little alternative around the area. It felt like profit over choice. As a first-time user of the hotel, this may deter a second visit. Finally, the view at the back was of piles of shipping containers!

The location was perfect for us because we needed somewhere to sleep that was close to the motorway so we could depart early the next morning. The staff were very polite and helpful, one of them went above and beyond to help us settle into our rooms

The furniture was a little tired looking, flimsy and gaudy. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable and thankfully I didn't have to personally sleep on it, my 11-year old however was excited just to be on his own and the novelty of a sofa bed so he didn't complain about the comfort

I had asked for a bottle of white zinfandel in the room as it was my husband's birthday while we were there, I was told this would be fine I just had to ring and pay at reception. I rang last week to be told the hotel doesn't stock white zinfandel that I could have red wine white wine or rose wine, I explained to the lady on the phone that it is pink in colour but is white zinfandel,, she went to check came back to the phone and told me it was definitely not stocked. Upon arrival we were unable to check in so we're asked to join up to All and we would get a free drink , as we ordered at the bar I could see two or three bottles of the white zinfandel this was very disappointing as I wanted to do something nice for my husband.

Second time to stay here, clean, modern, comfortable hotel. Definitely need transport due to location but it suited our needs as there was plenty of parking and quiet. Didn't use the gym this time but did last time & it was good enough. Staff are friendly if a bit understaffed at times. Overall I'd recommend it if you are not bothered staying outside Sheffield city centre. I would stay here again.

The main let down with this hotel is the restaurant, breakfast hot food is not hot, although plenty of choice. Dinner menu choice is good but portions are small, I don't normally get dessert but do here. Also the quality is just average. I've tried most things on it, between my two stays & I'm normally not a burger person but I think it's the best choice. Mash potatoes are really not good.

The location was brilliant. Close to the arena which is why we travelled to Sheffield. The taxi button at reception was brilliant. The facilitaties within the room were really good- liked the fridge. The staff on todays shift were really helpful and friendly. Checking in system was easy &’was able to check in earlier so thank you.

The breakfast could have been better. There was limited vegetarian options- no veggie sausages for example. Also, the food looked like it had been sitting out for a long while But staff at breakfast were accommodating and helpful.

The staff went over and beyond my expectations, they allowed me to check in early an hour which allowed me to finish getting ready and booked me a taxi to a wedding that I was going to. So helpful! Note, this is subject to availability! The hotel has clean, modern and good parking. It was easy to find and travel to/from the wedding by car/taxi. Breakfast was varied with lots of options (hot & cold, different drink options) and didn't need to book, which was useful. My room was clean, comfortable and had a really good nights sleep.

Initially, I wasn't sure if I could check in early but if I hadn't of been able to, it would have been good to have a room/place to get refresh or get changed before check-in time (3pm), and secure lockers to put belongings if needed. I wasn't comfortable with leaving my possessions behind the check-in desk.
