I have stayed in this property several times and always found it comfortable, convenient and beautiful location.

Every time I visit I have just one supper in the restaurant and it does not reach my expectations so I go elsewhere for the next. Yesterday the food was adequate, the service was friendly by just two of the members of staff and the kitchen closed when we were still on our mains - and we had arrived before 8, so to close and deny diners already there a dessert is unusual. I understand hospitality currently as I work in the sector and there were guests I overheard not happy but I didn’t comment as it’s not helpful or motivational for front of house staff. Breakfast always good. I hope this helps - it’s such a lovely restaurant which could be so much better.

Location is great, parking nearby (Additional £8 for 24 hours), nice bar and pool. We've stayed in Sheffield a few times for various events, it was easy to get the Tram to the Arena and easy to walk to the City - nice to be somewhat away from the noise of the city on a weekend. Breakfast was also really good. Pool has a (currently out of use) jacuzzi, steam room and sauna area - we didnt use all the facilities but it was quiet, looked lovely and its a bonus to have these additional options.

Check in took a little longer but they gave us a free drink at the bar.

room comfortable , needed mini fridge , breakfast good , but with the hotel being full due to concert thought they would have been better prepared and had time slots instead of 1st come served basis ? just an opinion as i'm in the same trade ie Head Chef . We were late back and tried looking at room service , the website said its 24hr but when scanning code it wasnt working .

room service wasn't in use ?? having to pay for parking , most hotels include this ? 3pm check in as i checked in online and requested early check in of which wasn't available , when we arrived . no power sockets by the bed .

Beautiful room and very large balcony

Breakfast was a shambles, came down at 10.10 hardly anything out, no juice no bread no fruit or croissants for the continental breakfast,no sausages no bacon, the scrambled egg was ( well we think that’s what it was) was put out in the small pan it was cooked in, the two ladies working were apologetic, totally not their fault, chef needs to have a constant supply of food to replace cooked items as they start running out, if breakfast hadn’t been included in the price of our room I wouldn’t have paid for breakfast, speaking to others by the lift, we were not the only ones who thought this

I liked the room with the outdoor balcony space where you can sit and take in the views

The carpet by the balcony door was dirty. Maybe vynal or wooden flooring instead of carpet would have been a better choice of flooring. The breakfast was cold on our first morning and luke warm on our second morning. The plates were not warm so of the food is already luke warm then that means the whole meal is not hot enough. If I do stay again I think I'll skip the breakfast.

I would like to offer comments for the great service from all the staff, but one member offered exceptional service, I didn’t get his name but we was managing the bar on Saturday night, it was about11pm and we had two pints and a glass of wine , the wine was great but the beer was flat and warm. The guys mentioned this to the barman and he offered two more but these were just as bad. He then provided two different beers and we sat down, this beer was just as bad and he noticed the guy’s dissatisfaction. 5 mins later he came over with two bottles of cold beer and advised that the cooling has accidentally been turned off, and offer sincere apologies. Well done how, attentive and brilliant customer service , very impressed,

Bathroom needs tlc , towel rack hanging off wall and shower curtain bit grubby

Location for the pool, excellent. Good surroundings. Easy to park at a great rate. Beds comfy. Clean.

We had a takeaway breakfast and it wasn't tue best. Considering it's proximity to a National pool and that the half marathon was on, I feel the take away breakfast could have been alot better and maybe they could have offered a early breakfast as I know other hotels did. It was 2 tiny pasties, a yogurt, melon and pineapple ( loosely wrapped in cling film ) this made the paper bag wet and it split, the yogurt fell out and broke, fruit wasnon the pavement. No replacement was offered. And 4 chocolate chip cookies with water. Just a odd breakfast.

Breakfast was good value. We loved the spaciousness of our room and the lightening system.

We didn’t like having to call Reception to find out where the kettle was. There wasn’t a variety of pillows which affected our sleep and ability to sit up supported in bed. Don’t take this personally - it’s an issue I amongst thousands struggle to get the message across - but I’m allergic to CLEANING SPRAYS. The last thing I need is to sit at a table eating, with someone spraying chemicals right beside me, so they can clean a table. ASK BEFORE YOU SPRAY! I spent the morning with an unnecessary coughing fit. For others it can trigger asthma attacks.

Staff were lovely. Breakfast, Reception, Gym all staff seemed happy at their work and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. As a solo female traveller, I felt really safe and happy here. Breakfast was lovely with loads of choice. Room large and comfy. Slept really well. Quiet. Parking easy. 5 min walk to city centre. Lovely pool. Thanks for a great stay.

Wish the room had a fridge to keep fresh milk for tea. But a minor point! Will definitely stay again.

Very comfortable rooms. Room was really spacious. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Matty behind the bar was really helpful telling us about the local area and the best bars to visit and made us excellent cocktails. Pool fantastic but pool area a little tired . Lovely hotel with a great view of the marina.

Food wasn't the best . Plenty of choice for breakfast ,but cooked items lukewarm. Evening meal ok, but we never got our side order. Waiting staff very friendly and polite but noone came to us after the meal to ask if we wanted desserts. A few in the restaurant had complaints about their meals.
