Really nice Double room spacious clean, good mattress, firm pillow, clean and easy to use showers , good tea/coffee facilities. Big TV in right position.

Drinks expensive at bar, corridors a bit grubby , could do with modernisation.

The staff were very considerate and gave us a room quite away from the centre of the hotel where there were various events which were noisy

Really lovely hotel set in a beautiful historical town. The Mercure in Salisbury is a real gem. The staff went above and beyond. I suffer with autoimmune hypoglycaemia, after having a shower my sugar dropped very low. I alerted staff via the qr code in the room and within literally a minute there were biscuits delivered to me :) . illuminated bathroom mirrors 😍ideal for makeup application. I Will definitely be booking to come back and stay again. Would highly recommend.

The room heating was a little on the cooler side, but I needn’t have worried as there were also plug in radiators as back up. I just suggest if you are like myself and always cold then plug it in when you arrive to take the chill off. I didn't plug it in until about 1am as kept turning the heating up thinking it would warm up.

It was clean,tidy and perfect for our needs.

The shower room and toilet was far too small and poorly thought out.

Sharon at reception was incredibly friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to make my arrival and stay pleasant. Other staff were a bit hit or miss (though all professional enough). Rooms/bed were comfortable enough and facilities seemed clean.

Water pressure was very weak in the shower. Beer selection at the hotel bar was lacking. My colleagues and I frequently travel to Salisbury for work by train, but taxis are extremely unreliable (particularly in the morning) and some reception staff put more effort into assisting than others. If the hotel was to work with one of the local taxi companies to be able to guarantee availability when booked ahead, this hotel would be a go-to for our regular visits. Including breakfast in the room cost for the upgrade rooms would also go a long way for business visits.

Location was superb, the room and bathroom was very spacious and comfortable, very nicely decorated with wonderful in room amenities! The building is beautiful, I especially loved the revolving door at the entrance and the old signage on display. For the price, it was excellent value and felt like such a treat.

Whilst the bathroom was very clean, the shower heads were clogged with limescale and only about a third of the water nozzles had water coming out of them. Where the water pressure is already slow (understandable on the top floor of a very old building) it made for a difficult shower. Some kind of shelf in the shower would also be helpful as I had to put all the soap bottles on the floor. Some of the communal areas could do with some TLC... wallpaper and paint are damaged down some hallways.

The welcome when we checked in was very friendly and this continued throughout our stay. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful: reception, breakfast and housekeeping. We had a really lovely stay and would definitely return if we stay in Salisbury again. The hotel building has an olde worlde charm but the rooms are well equipped with a lovely large bed and a great shower. We had an extensive breakfast choice which we thoroughly enjoyed. We wished we could have had longer than one night's stay! Hope to return in the future.

Location was perfect for work the next day especially in the rain! Room was very comfortable and faced out onto a lovely courtyard which helped give me a good night sleep. Really nice welcome from colleague at reception on my arrival Saturday.

Internet connection wasn’t great, kept dropping out. Selection of food for a cooked breakfast was great but was a little underwhelmed with the other options. Could hear a few voices from the courtyard in the evening so that prevented me getting to sleep earlier than I’d have liked. Price did feel a bit high for what the room offered overall

The room was comfortable and quiet. Probably the best sleep we've had in a while for a hotel. The staff were all helpful, in particular Kelly was excellent. My wife has particular dietary needs and Kelly ensured these were met, which made our meals very enjoyable.

The car park was being used by contractors building at one side of the property. Whilst some changes were essential, and much was done to alleviate the situation, I felt the instructions given by the hotel could have been just a little clearer. Not a complaint, just something that might improve the situation for future guests, especially if they're travelling from overseas.
