This is a gem of a B&B, situated very close to the centre of Salisbury in a quiet area. We both had the best night's sleep in ages in the huge, exceptionally comfortable bed. The lovely array of tempting toiletries was a great touch and the enormous walk-in shower was fabulous. They thought of absolutely everything to make us as comfortable as possible, including a small, silent standalone fridge stocked with water and fresh milk for teas and coffees. As for the breakfast - again, one of the best we've ever had. We can't recommend this place highly enough.

Nothing!

Our room was large and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was updated and very clean. Ruwani is the most charming and welcoming of hostesses, making you immediately feel at home. Breakfast was well cooked with good options and is served in a light-filled room with a view of the garden, which is available for guests to use in good weather. The location is on a quiet residential street, a bit further from the center of the city but walking distance.

The entrance area and carpets are a bit worse for wear but the pluses more than offset that initial impression.

The room was lovely: spacious with quality furnishing. The bed was super comfy, and the towels really fluffy. The choice of toiletries in the bathroom was impressive! Breakfast was superb. The family were really friendly and helpful. We were able to park at no cost outside their house, and it's just a 15-minute walk into Salisbury. We would highly recommend the Old Rectory. Thanks Rowania and Arkalia for making our stay so nice (despite the rather damp weather!)

Nothing, it was all great.

This was one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in. Starting with a cheery greeting from our lovely host Ruwani and her smiling dog Bella, we were shown to a lovely, clean and well appointed room. The bed was comfy and the shower in our own private bathroom was wonderful. There were many small but lovely touches, such as a huge array of toiletries, which really enhanced our stay. Breakfast was amazing with a range of options normally only found in a hotel. Everything was cooked to perfection and it was a substantial start to the day. The location was excellent with free parking right outside and a gentle ten minute stroll leads to the market place at the heart of the city. Overall, if you are considering a short stay in Salisbury, I would heartily recommend this property.

Nothing at all.

Great location being a 10 min walk to the centre. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. Comfortable and clean room. Parking outside an added bonus. Great breakfast.

The room we booked had a separate bathroom (not en-suite) a short walk along the corridor which was not entirely clear from the booking. Regardless, the bathroom was clean, large and modern and therefore only a small inconvenience to pay. Please be aware when booking.

One of the best stays we've had anywhere, and we've been very fortunate in our stays over the years. Just lovely & gracious in every single way. A great base for nearby sights (Salisbury, Stonehenge, Highclere Castle, etc.) but I would go back and stay here if it were at the north pole in a blizzard-- beautiful and immaculate room, superb breakfast, really gracious hosts. The best de-stress location I know.

I wish we could have stayed longer

Ruwani was a very pleasant lady and an excellent host, nothing was too much trouble. Delicious breakfast with a very large choice on the menu and freshly cooked to order. Ideal location with a short 15 minute walk into the city centre. I have no reservations about recommending The Old Rectory and will certainly stay there on my next visit to Salisbury.

breakfast was lovely and a wide choice of fruit, cereals and cooked food. Room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful and that included the dog! We appreciated the hosts allowing us to park in their drive off the road as we were there for five days.

There was no lounge for us to use so only the bedroom to relax in. In the summer of course there would have been the patio and garden but not in October!

Spacious property and room, large well appointed bathroom, great breakfast for the perfect start to each day. Ruwani is a character and a fantastic host; nothing is too much trouble. Easy walk into Salisbury. Very quiet location.

Nothing really. Maybe more hanging for clothes.

The room was generously sized with an on-suite bathroom, an excellent mattress, great bedding, and double glazed windows for both a quiet and comfortable stay. The hot and cold full breakfast in the morning was the cherry on top.
