beautiful location and lovely decor inside. very clean

The member of staff on arrival was not helpful. would not ring down to the restaurant to see if there was a table available. Made us leave luggage in reception whilst we went down stairs to see if we could eat in the restaurant and told us to come back and get it. email says there is valet service with parking car but there wasn’t - so had to move car, go to restaurant ask for a table and made arrival all quite stressful.

Great location - quick walk to the harbour for restaurants and shops. Also had a bus stop outside and was only a 5 minute walk to the beach. A range of facilities including a spa. Complimentary gin in the room - a nice touch! The hotel is clean and well looked after. Staff were lovely! Very helpful and polite. Their menus had a range of dietary options.

The standard room was very small, and there was no window/fan in the bathroom - the paint was peeling off the ceiling and felt damp. Squeaky floorboards throughout the halls made it noisy when trying to sleep. Food (quality and portion size) was not consistent and, at times, was not good value for money.

the room was beautifully decorated and a massive comfy bed, there wasn't much room to move around the bed as we only had a standard double but it was still very nice, shower was a bit small as it had the curved sliding doors so was a tight fit. The room came with complimentary gin and tonic so that was great we had a sea view which is perfect to wake up too and the noise of the waves were perfect which makes you forgive the slightly small shower tv had everything on it like prime and apple and netflix very happy Shout out to the barman and general waiter called Ross, top lad who was so polite and couldn't do enough for us, sorry we didnt get to say goodbye as it was his day off Food was good and good service, chef was a nice guy and they have a pizza bar outside which was great Good reception lad called Keiran who helped out with everything great stay

This is a beautiful location. The hotel has a lovely view out over the bay. We had a great sea view room which was fantastic. Room is kept clean. There was complimentary gin in the room which is a nice touch. Bar is excellent, staff very helpful and the food in the restaurant is good. Breakfast is very good and nice to have it with a sea view. I would definitely return here or to other Harbour hotels. You can walk down to the beach which has excellent facilities. St. Ives is a lovely place.

Nothing I can think of. Can be expensive but that is due to the location and demand for hotels here so not really surprising. This is one of the better hotels in St.Ives.

Room whilst no sea view was absolutely lovely and well equipped. Very clean. Breakfast had an excellent choice for all tastes and vegan and veggie options were excellent. Pool, jacuzzi and steam room whilst small were very nice especially to relax at end of day before dinner Evening meal in hotel restaurant was excellent as was the service in the evening by both bar and restaurant staff Loved the valet parking ;)

The only criticism we had over our 3 day stay was on our last morning at breakfast. The maitre de was rather abrupt and impatient when taking us to our table and taking our order - and even swiped the menus off the table almost breaking the crockery on top of the menu. We did mention this to the reception team on checkout

Amazing location . It is very near to the beach, railway station and shops . Well decorated. Complimentary gin and tonic in the room. Nice spa. Friendly staff in Spa .Cooked breakfast was lovely.

Had sea view but window was dirty. Reception staff were not very welcoming . No enthusiasm about this lovely hotel. They did not tell us anything about the hotel or offer a map. Some of the staff in the restaurant were very friendly but not all of them . It is a shame as the views are lovely from the restaurant. Cooked breakfast was good but buffet was only average. Feel with more enthusiasm from staff it could be a really good hotel.

Great views! Good location. First night’s stay, our room (108) was clean with nice decor but small. The remaining nights we spent in room 120 (after requesting a move) which was way superior and more inline with what we had expected for the level of room we had booked.

The building was on several levels which made for an interesting route to our room that would not have suited less abled people. Breakfast was a little hit and miss. Cold eggs one morning, half cooked bacon on another. Staff always appeared harassed, even when it wasn’t busy!! We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on our first evening. it was a Sunday so there was roast on the menu. Probably left over from lunch. My cut of beef was more fat than meat, although the little meat I did have was nicely cooked and flavoursome. The roast potatoes were dry and did not look fresh despite being told otherwise. We did raise this with the restaurant staff but the glazed looks and standard responses suggested it wouldn’t go any further.

Great location. Right next to the train stop in town. Beautiful view overlooking harbor. Room was really nice and bathroom looked great. Overall very clean. We also loved the Sunday Roast meal at the restaurant along with the breakfast offerings.

The initial check-in process was great, but the guy at the desk was a bit lacking. Overall poor communication skills. We asked about restaurant recommendations and he said they all were good. Asked about making reservations at a place in town for dinner, he ends up making reservations at the hotel restaurant which was not what we asked. Then went on to tell us he couldn't make reservations off site at the place we requested. Then completely omitted we got free breakfast each day....sort of large point. Great room and bathroom but the bathroom had zero ventilation so after 2 minutes in the shower, the everything in the room was wet.

the hotel was beautiful and the room was really comfy, clean and wonderful. The food at the restaurant was delicious, stunning views across the sea from it and the breakfast was great too.

my room itself was in a noisy location. internal, it was right next to the hallway door so contestant banging as other guests travelled to/from their rooms and the spa. externally it was next to the kitchens too, so trying to get to sleep was a struggle hearing pots and trays banging about, music playing and staff singing along as they cleaning up for the night. when waiting for my car to be collected from their valet parking, I was outside (as it was a lovely morning) and I didn’t appreciate your staff member grinding the gears to my car when trying to get it out. it would be great if your staff are able to drive manuals properly so you don’t damage guests cars further (as I’ve never had problems with this before).

The hotel is charming, well decorated, and offers an amazing view to St Ives Porthminster beach and the surroundings. The Room was great. The small window from the room offered a nice view to the ocean. the bathroom was spacious and clean. The View from the breakfast area was is outstanding and the breakfast is great. The spa area was also good. The possibility to park at the hotel was also great. The staff at the reception was really welcoming and helpful and so was the staff serving in the breakfast area. And it is a really short walk to town/the beach.

Just the manager at of the breakfast area was not so friendly and made weird comments when we kindly asked if we could be seated at the window since a couple was just leaving and we had just entered the breakfast area undecided on where to seat. So we did have mixed feelings on our first day at breakfast. But maybe that was just circumstantial.
