Rachel on reception was super friendly and helpful. The room was nicely modernised and the addition of a fan was welcome. We didn't use the restaurant but it looked very welcoming. Communal areas nicely renovated since our last visit too.

There was a couple in the room next door having a huge fight late at night. The night porter escorted the female downstairs, and Rachel booked her a taxi. However, the male was on the phone screaming at the female at 7am and wouldn't shut up for over an hour. Poor Rachel had to try and defuse the situation, but we feel it would've been safer and more comfortable for her if the older male night porter was still on shift. Or maybe have a 2 warning policy for disruptive guests who should then be physically removed. No fault of your staff but our sleep was massively impacted.

The staff were very welcoming on check in and on the bar when we got a drink, we even spoke to housekeeping who couldn't do enough. The rooms were clean, had good facilities & nice bits of attention to detail, plus the shower had power!. The leisure facilities were some of the nicest range I've seen and were a complete bonus to staying here. Please look after the chef because food in the restaurant was fabulous. The tomato soup was the best I've ever had, fish and chips delicious and tried my daughters carbonarra which was cooked to perfection. The service was great and the young lad waiting on had a great personality too and I'm glad it shone through, service for a company can sometimes become professional but regimented. A great team doing a great job.

Not a lot, if I had to be really picky I'd say bathrooms could do with an up date (bit old fashioned) & bedrooms a bit plain/basic could do with a plant or two!

Lovely hotel in a nice area. Good parking. Room was adequate. Gorgeous pool, although I did not realise you could use it free as part of the stay otherwise I would have brought my cossie!

I was given a ground floor room right at the back in a small separate corridor, which I didn't feel too comfortable with being alone (room 134). Also, there was only a pull-down blind and no curtains. The window was right next to the entrance to the health club, which meant it was not private. I felt I had to keep the blind down, meaning the room was quite dark.

Nice size room with comfortable bed. Clean linen and towels. Nice pool and spa. Good parking. Staff friendly. Nice selection at the bar. Food for vegetarians OK.

The changing rooms in the spa are looking tired and the spa towels are a bit small and rough. The bedroom was a little on the chilly side despite the radiator. Our ground floor room only had a blind and so people going to the spa could look in also when the blind was fully down it still let a lot of light into the room.

The leisure facilities were brilliant. Very clean, spacious and enjoyable. Due to covid understandably the steam room was closed and limited amount of people in each area at any time for our own safety! So I would suggest you call ahead to book your leisure time slots to avoid disappointment! The beds were unbelievably comfortable and the rooms spotless, the shower was a 10/10. Lots of drinks choices at the bar and a good breakfast for £11 each. The Purple Peacock restaurant was beautiful decorated and very welcoming.

The location isn’t amazing which we knew before hand so can not complain but nothing was not in taxi distance and local taxis are very affordable and efficient. No hair dryer in the room again not major and the staff were more than happy to give us one.

Very clean room, very spacious. Lovely soft bed with comfy pillows. Great goodies in bathroom. Amazing breakfast with lots of choice. Very courteous staff who were happy to help. Good location and easy to find.

only slight down side was there was no hairdryer in the room. I didnt go and ask for one as I carry a travel one with me, Im sure I would have been given one if I had asked at the reception desk as they were very helpful.

Lovely hotel, I feel the rooms can be hit and miss, I had a junior suit and it was really comfortable, and the bathroom was lovely. Breakfast was very nice in a well decorated room. The bar and garden is very modern, clean and a good atmosphere. The staff at the hotel were lovely and very helpful

I feel the rooms are hit and miss, I had a junior suite and was very happy, my colleague had a suite and was happy but two colleague stayed in a standard rooms. One was happy with the room but the second was not, she was placed in a small room near the stairs and was very disappointed having to stay in there, it was small, looked unkept and it hadn’t been decorated for a while. They look like they are doing some work at the hotel as I had mirrors and ceiling tiles outside my room - this is a positive thing and hopefully as they update the property even the small room will be better.

Staff, especially at reception, were excellent. Restaurant and bar were good assets. Breakfast was good, if not exactly 'fresh prepared', couple of items on my plate starting to dry out under the lamps by the look of it

Rooms getting a bit tired, could use a makeover, but clean and tidy nonetheless. Gym is well-equipped and not too busy. Pool was a bit overchlorinated - very much a case of keeping your eyes closed at all times....

The bathroom was newly fitted so was modern and fresh - but the floor to carpet edging was incomplete which made it look a bit shabby. Really enjoyed the vegan veg strudel at Dinner.

Breakfast was limited no fruit, granola or plant-based milk. No air conditioning (but I always travel with a fan) which was needed as the room was a bit warm and being ground floor I didn't feel comfortable sleeping with the window open.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating the food was very good and the public areas of the hotel are very nice. The spa was good too

We were in room 120 which was classed as a junior suite, therefore expected something nice. Instead we got a room with very dirty carpets and lots of the tiles in the bathroom were cracked and broken including a crack in the sink.
