Hotel in an excellent location, very clean.
DOGS allowed in every area where guests are eating, waitresses patting dogs then serving meals, very unhygienic, not acceptable to most people. We were given what appeared to be a room for disabled guests, not happy with that, hand basin too low for us,shower inside bath.We are regular guests at the Seaburn Inn and have never had any of these problems before.I was considering staying again within the next two weeks but am seriously concerned about our last experience.

The Seaburn inn is a lovely clean , comfortable place to stay , great bar and drinks etc
First night we went for dinner in the Seaburn Inn but was very disappointed with the food quality! I had the Salmon, very greasy salmon was over cooked? And looked more like a starter and for £18.50 was definitely not worth the money, My wife had the Rump steak , and at £20 wasn’t great quality or quantity, asked for a well done steak it was burnt and very hard to get a knife through it , at this level and prices the food needs to be much better! We only had dinner on the first night went out for food the rest of our stay breakfast was disappointing too.

Good parking - nice big spaces. Huge, comfortable and clean room. Excellent location. The food was nice - typical 'pub fare' which is what we expected.
Check in; we arrived when it was very busy so there was nobody to check us in and we had to do it all on a screen. That in itself is not a problem (although it was a bit long-winded) but it lacked any personal interaction. We would have liked to at least speak to someone to tell us handy tips like what to do at breakfast time etc. The staff were efficient but they were not as friendly as other places we have stayed (one exception was a lady whose name I am not sure of but her hair was brown and in a bun, she was lovely).

I stayed with my sister on the way to a family funeral and we loved the log burning stove and the friendly professional staff. The rooms were very warm and comfortable. On a very cold day the hotel was a lovely warm haven. Absolutely brilliant.
There were far too many dogs in the hotel, I am allergic to dogs and this is never considered. I also don't think it very hygienic to have dogs in the bar/restaurant area. They are not allowed in supermarkets where most of the food is packaged for hygiene reasons, so why are they allowed in hotels where the food is open?

We had a seafront balcony view room which was gorgeous, a large room with a large bed. Facilities were as you would expect. The option to have a drink on the house rather than have the room serviced every day was welcome and accepted. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly and welcoming. This is a new , clean hotel with adequate parking
I was inundated with 8 emails from booking .com and the hotel. The faster check in option include 'phishing' style information requests incl date of birth, email & address, none of which was required. There were some maintenance issues re the shower that I reported. I saw signs that minor maintenance / deep cleaning routines are not regularly undertaken. I fear this may spoil visitor experience if ignored in the longer term

The location is lovely, I didn't try the breakfast but went to the café next door and the food was lovely. The Seaburn Inn is dog friendly, which is great, as was the café next door. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The weather was not great that weekend, so the view from the balcony was a bit of a let-down until the Monday, but you can't control the weather and I would imagine that with a nice bit of weather it would be a lovely place to sit and listen to the waves. There are plenty of local food options around and a Morrisons within walking distance.
The self-service check in was a bit clunky in its design/operation, having a simple QR code to scan from your phone that already contains all your booking details would be faster and much better imo. A small fridge in the room would be an amazing addition.

The first day the breakfast was perfect and freshly cooked. The second day those who ordered the English breakfast found that the egg & bacon in particular was hard and had been kept warm overlong.
On arrival we were ignored for quite a while. We tried to use the self check in - a bit laborious - and annoying when on completing, it didn't have a new till role. The receptionist then helped us but when another couple turned up and spoke she continued with them so we had to wait. After waiting, and re-entering all the same information on a second machine, that machine didn't have a till roll either. Not a reassuring start. By paying more for a sea view, I had expected to have a balcony as well like those on 2nd floor.. This was not clear in the booking info.

Central location. Spacious, clean and comfortable room with a good choice at breakfast.
The personal touch has been removed with self check in and check out. This was our third time staying and the first time using this method. There wasn't any information that I could see explaining the new system. I stood at what was the old check in desk for over 10minutes before going to locate someone to help. The staff were difficult to locate and not very helpful when approached, just directing me back to a screen at the side of the old check in desk. Although free car parking if provided the car park is often used by people visiting the area and not staying at the hotel. Therefore, it is very difficult to find a space until late in to the evening.

Clean Friendly Staff Ease of checking in on pad (In plain site on bar. Nice big sea view room Breakfast was fantastic with a lot of choice. Free drink for choosing not have my room serviced.
The car park is inadequate on busy days as it caters for non hotel customers. I was lucky to get the last spot. Management need to review this urgently as whilst the car park looks decent it's time to get rid of the beauty and add more spaces. The balcony was disappointing as you have no privacy with the neighbours. I'd recommend food be covered due to flies
