I have stayed at No.16 three or four times now over the years. I noticed on this occasion that it is starting to look a little tired. It is one of the more expensive places to stay. It states it as being boutique accommodation. Therefore, to me, it should warrant the name and price. The bathroom needs refreshing, as do the carpets. The cleaning, as far as I'm concerned, wasn't up to scratch. Dusty surfaces, windows could do with a clean, just general housekeeping. I was on the ground floor (room 2), which I hadn't been on before, and honestly wouldn't want to be on again. The noise of people going up and down the stairs is terrible. If it wasn't so convenient for the beach, I'd find somewhere else cheaper to stay that was bed and breakfast for the price.
The room being next to the stairs. Sounds like people are going through the floorboards when they go up and down.

The location to the beach and shops was perfect. No 16 is a very warm, cosy, well insulated and extremely clean house. The housekeeping ladies do an amazing job...they were very friendly and always left a good variety of teas and coffees, (glass) bottled water and chocolate snacks. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Space for one car on the drive but plenty of on road parking. One word of advice...don't lock the bathroom door in room 6. I was locked in for half an hour before managing to unlock it 😮
The only small complaint would be that the heat of the room at times was unbearable...even with the radiators off the thermostat showed anything between 22 and 25. This meant that the window had to remain open at night ....traffic was noisy and the seagulls begin their wake up call at 5.30am every day. We appreciate this is out of anyone's control so would suggest early nights.

Ideally located close to beach and town, yet not disturbed by passing traffic or people. We were amazed at just how spacious the apartment was. There were only two of us, but I can see how well it would have worked for a young family too. Beautifully decorated and with every facility you could need. Towel and toiletries provision was excellent and the kitchen contained simple items such as washing up liquid which saves you taking stuff along.
My only gripe was the bedroom curtains were too short width wise, so left a gap for light to come through. A bit of nifty work with a towel sorted that out however.

Amazing location 👌 perfect for a weekend away. The room was clean, comfortable, and just what we were looking for. The staff were met were lovely, very helpful ☺️
This is only a slight niggle...it didn't impact our weekend in the slightest but the blind didn't work very well. Needs a bit of a attention but really that's our only negative and its a tiny one at that. Wouldn't stop us from staying again and we're hoping to come back down again in a years time and won't be looking any further than here.

Excellent location which is the biggest selling point. Decor was lovely throughout. The bed was very comfortable.
Couple of minor cleanliness issues such as hairs on sink, bed and rubber bath mat. Quite a bit of rust and black stained silicone around bath and on all the chrome in bathroom. Glasses were dusty. As the accommodation is room only I really feel a fridge would be a great addition to the rooms. This would allow for cold drinks/milk and would help if medication needed to be stored in the fridge.

Booked this accomodation to visit family. Communication from owners was first class. All information required to gain smooth access to the apartment. We had the quad apartment which was a comfortable double bed & sofa bed which we only used to sit on. Large bathroom with walk-in shower. Only thing that could be added is a small mini fridge for those staying more than a couple of days. Other than that can't fault the accommodation at all. Accomodation is situated a very short walk from the seafront where there are bars & restaurants.

What a lovely place!!!! Huge comfy bed , super clean and spotless Bathroom has all the products you would need like hand soap , shower gel There was also a lovely tea and coffee station with biscuits and canned water ... I thought this was a lovely touch and really appreciated it
Only thing is was a little noisy in my room as next to the road but did not bother me and I knew the location is right in the centre so I wouldn't expect silence but if you do want a completely silent night I would take that into consideration

Great set up, instructions were foolproof and easy to follow. The room was lovely, very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was clean and well equipped. Could have done with a second bedside light (room 4) but not too much of an issue as I've got a kindle! The bathroom was very nice and the shower was excellent. The hotel was brilliantly located, easy parking (it wasn't clear whether or not you could park on the little drive right next to the hotel - you can although the street is wide and fine) and it was just a couple of minutes walk to nice places to eat. All in all, it was pretty perfect.
As previously mentioned, we only had one bedside light but honestly, this is such a small detail in an overall great place to stay.

We loved the location, it couldn't have been better.
As we were on the ground floor, the window was frosted for privacy. Much as we appreciated the privacy, the downside was not having a view at all. I suppose you can't have it all! Also, the room was beautifully decorated in nice, tasteful colours, but it was let down by being very, very dusty. I could actually see a layer of dust on the wall. There was a lot of dust on and around the deep skirting board, suggesting vacuuming standards could be much better. A beautiful room let down by the cleaning, I'm afraid

I absolutely loved this place! Easy walking distance from the station and the beach and harbour, and so well designed that although I apparently was in one of the smallest rooms, I could have happily lived in that space! I'd definitely stay here again.
Only the steep stairs, as I had a heavy case! Oh, and a weir d smell from the loo, but ok if you kept the seat down and I mentioned it to the staff, who had asked for it to be looked into. Certainly not a deal breaker.
