Location. I had driven from Glasgow and found the hotel easily. Snowy towels and bedlinen. Food. I had a superb dinner, and breakfast was plentiful and well cooked too.Excellent that I could park my car just outside my bedroom door. Staff were professional and seemed competent.

I was, quite rightly, in a dog-friendly room. The accommodation is very spacious, with nice touches like quality bodywash - but I longed for a small soap bar. There were several broken items ie missing towel rails but still holes in the wall; sink and bath plug chains snapped. Very stained couch.

1 night 22.06.24 Hotel costs £10 from the ferry terminal & about 2 minutes walk from the Railway Station Room 19 situated in the annex. A well appointed room with an excellent shower. All of the staff we met were extremely friendly & courteous. Wifi speed 30mbs The only downside was whilst the evening meal was excellent the breakfast (poached egg) was not cooked properly and could not be eaten. Both I & my wife (aged 84 & 81) would certainly recommend this hotel.

That our room was like a chalet , our own space. Staff was very friendly, good customer service & very obliging. Food was hot & good. Want to go back stay longer another time.

Room couldve done with net curtains on window, for privacy for people walking past, without having to shut the main curtains and blocking out light, (through the day). But overall stay was great, everything we needed for everything else.

Food was very nice. Room was great for us with having dogs as we could go in and out without disturbing anyone and there was a park down the road.

We dined in a room that was put to one side for people with dogs which was fine whilst eating. However, we like to have a few drinks after a wee walk and felt that we couldn’t do so here. Not a massive game changer as we had a drink in the room.

It was all very good, we had breakfast every morning and ate twice in the restaurant/bar. The room - we had a studio, although we'd booked a twin - had more than enough space and was warm, comfortable and very clean, as was the whole hotel. Family run, the staff were very friendly, and happy there was always laughter & chatter which gave the place a really nice feel. They have plenty of information leaflets about the area and what to do, location is good as well. Great place, would recomend it.

Cosy room, good location a few minutes walk from restaurants etc. Good wifi, decent shower. Good breakfast, and fantastic staff serving it - we told them we were running a little late for the ferry and they delivered breakfast in record speed! Easy/plentiful parking.

Rooms a little hard to find - the "Coach house" building could use better signage. For some reason the heating was on in July, which we only realised half way through the night while wondering why we were hot! Perhaps a little expensive at £110, but it was high season.

We were in one of the shally rooms that was opposite the main hotel building, The room was a good size and clean with a comfy bed. Evening meal was very tasty and reasonably priced,- we was in a cosy snug with the dog being able to come with us. Breakfast was lovely and set us up for the day, our dog even got a sausage for breakfast.

Nothing, all was perfect

This is an old-style "traditional" hotel, which suited us fine! We felt as though the staff were taking a personal interest in our welfare. We were in a cabin-type room in the rear courtyard, which was well-appointed. Catering was fairly unadventurous but, again, that's what we wanted on a short stay. We were both very happy with our stay.

Apparently endless mobile phone conversations in the courtyard (guests, not staff...)

The studio room was huge same price as a small room I've paid for a hotel in same location also included was breakfast can't comment as young daughter wanted to sleep in so we missed breakfast

We were allowed to stay upto 11am but cleaner tried with a key to come in at 9.20am needed a lie in but couldn't get back to sleep

The hotel and room was immaculate and well presented. I had a quiet and undisturbed sleep. The evening chef was on holiday but they still managed to make me up something simple after a long journey which was appreciated and the bar was cozy and welcoming. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly and I felt very welcome. There was parking outside the hotel door. Breakfast was exceptional and the coffee was good.
