The Nethercliffe was just right for our overnight stay on our NC500 holiday. Everything was just fine and it was nice to have some home made grub in the evening and to chat with the locals. The room was well presented, reasonably roomy and comfortable. Breakfast was worth getting up for too! So well done the Nethercliffe

We were offered evening meal but declined, should have taken up on offer as breakfast was excellent.

The only issue was that we could hear Bingo being played from our room till about 10pm. As we were exhausted from travelling we wanted to get an early night. To be fair it only slightly inferred with falling asleep.

Room spaceous, clean and bed comfortable, good shower

Dinner - rump steak dish. Steak was generous-sized and tender but there was very little flavour across the entire dish. Even the pepper sauce was bland. Significant lack of seasoning meant I had to add a lot of salt & pepper.

The staff were incredibly nice and the breakfast was very good overall. The room was small but very nice with lots of drawers and a good en suite. There was a lounge near the room, so we could have gone there if we'd wanted more space. The garden was delightful.

We would have liked real coffee, rather than instant.

Room was clean and a good size. The bathroom was very good, clean, roomy with plentiful toiletries. Breakfast was cooked to order and was good.

The hotel was a little tired and dated in some areas. This was particularly noticeable in the reception area.

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was comfortable and well equipped. Price per night was sensible and the food was more than good enough. On a lighter note the lawn in the garden was manicured to Royal Horticultural show standard and a thing of beauty😊

Friendly staff, very enjoyable food.. both bar meal and the good quality and wide choice for breakfast. Modern large walk in shower with good water pressure and lots of hot water. Fluffy white towels. We asked about a taxi to the station and manager immediately went and booked if for us.
