The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Nice room - as it is right next to Wookey hole visitors centre there are lots of families. We are a middle-aged couple who have issues sleeping, so we asked to be located away from any large, noisy families with small children if possible, and this was accommodated. Very quiet at night. Nice restaurant, good food and friendly bar staff.

Only quibble was that one of the beds really creaked when you moved about on it/ turned over which woke my partner up throughout the night. (The other was fine) I cancelled breakfast in the morning as there was not much left when I went down. A lot of the cereal etc was aimed at children rather than adults (Coco pops, rice krispies etc) - Would have been nice to have seen some bran flakes / muesli and replenished ham/cheese and pastries.

Great location right next to the attraction and was halfway between the coast and Yeovil for us to visit friends. Food was really good and the staff were brilliant, always smiling and happy to help. Rooms were basic but offered everything needed. Plenty of free parking. The attraction was great value for money, so much to see and do for kids and adults. Lunch in the cafe was good value and huge portions. Would highly recommend Wookey Hole for a visit.

The beds were really hard and there were no fans in the room so was really hot at night. Walls are paper thin so could hear neighbouring rooms kids screaming and banging (noise is expected as its a family hotel). Hotel lacked facilities for on an evening for sitting out by the bar or for kids (except the games room where most things cost money) and would benefit from a playground on the grassy area and benches outside the restaurant. It was lovely weather and only offered a couple of benches at the otherside of the hotel. The smoking shelter was directly below the dining room windows so it came in whilst you ate.

Family friendly layout and staff. Good choices for breakfast with room for families. nice quiet location . Children really loved their day at Wookey Hole -despite the weather- lots to do.

Really need to have more vegetables/ healthy choices - vegetarians would struggle. The smoking area is directly outside the entrance - very off-putting. hotel deliveries off-loading directly in front of hotel not good. There was a car alarm going off at night, constantly over a couple of hours- suggestion to get that info would be for visitors to give their car registration when booking-in so the owner could be quickly found.

We'd read some reviews before travelling and have to disagree with all of the negative ones. Yes, the TV in the room's small but it depends what you're used to. It can play DVDs though and the hotel has a DVD library. We were out all day every day, exploring the local areas - and beyond - so we hardly used our TV. Room was quiet and close to nature. What more do you need? Staff wonderful and nothing too much trouble. We were happy with everything and would definitely stay there again. Please pass this on to the hotel. It's just as important to know when you're getting it right, as it is when things need improving. Thank you.

A really small thing: would have liked to see dairy free yogurts for the continental breakfast - although gluten free was well catered for and alternative milks were available. Not a huge problem.

Stayed here recently for 2 nights with my sister and our kids. Staff were really brilliant, super friendly at all times and especially with children. We saw the magic show on the Wednesday evening (during school holidays) and it was fantastic- thoroughly recommend! Good price overall and right next to the caves which are a must do. There is a small games room on site, accepting coins but if you forget to bring cash there are board games/ jenga etc available to keep little ones entertained. Breakfast and dinner were lovely, but it does get busy so pre book. Bedrooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We can't wait to return.

Noise of other guests, lots of loud TV's/ kids let loose running around the corridor at night. However later in the night and the morning is very quiet and we slept well overall.

Room was spacius and fulfilled all basic needs. Nice linen (bed and towels) Breakfast was very pleasant. Had to request fruit, but it appeared straightaway. plentiful availability. Staff on front desk - particularly Walter - aand again at breakfast - Walter is an excellent ambassador for the place. Smiley, efficiet and helpful

The carpets in the general areas are a little stained. Children running noisily along the corridors and continuously across the room above ours was not the best, but to be fair, the hotel DOES exhibit signage asking parents to respect the fact that others need quiet to sleep, so one can hardly blame the establishment! Perhaps some 'firmer' request from the management might prevent this as previous reviews, also, often mention this problem

The location is fantastic if you're visiting Wookey Hole; and nearby towns like Wells, Glastonbury, and even Cheddar Gorge are all very close by too. The room was spacious, and they'd provided a cot because they saw we had a baby with us. A small-portion breakfast was the perfect size, especially as you get your pick of the continental option too (so topped up with a couple of pain au chocolat). The biggest plus was the staff. They were phenomenal, helped with all queries from booking food, and paying for the Wookey Hole attraction (10% discount for hotel guests) - they deserve the praise.

No real complaints to be honest. We had an adjoining room which may have meant we had to suffer the noisy neighbours more, but that's nothing to do with the hotel. In fact - they even asked the noisy guests to be quiet (the area was clearly marked as "family" and they did go quiet afterwards) - thank you Walter (on reception).

It was an amazing location and the hotel itself was really in keeping with the witch theme from the outside. The restaurant was priced well and the rooms were a good size for a family. Literally just a short walk to the caves themselves from the hotel a must stay if your visiting the caves!

The beds were not very comfy the mattresses were hard in both the family room and the other room family members were saying in. There isn’t much sound proofing between the rooms and unfortunately we had loud neighbours with children screaming until about 11:30pm and with an early start this wasn’t ideal, but to be expected. It would have been even better if there was a lounge area, so that people could sit and relax the only place to sit is in the restaurant or your room. There is a games room, however this needs money to play. I think it would have been good to have the inside of the property maybe the entrance and restaurant to match the theme outside the property there was no reference to the witch or Wookey caves once inside.

Location, cleanliness and overall staff attitude. I cannot emphasise enough how friendly, helpful and courteous all staff were, both at the hotel and the attraction! We spent a full day at Wookey Hole with our 12 year old grandson. He loved everything. The cafe is a tad pricey but expected. We booked into Wookey Hole Hotel as we didn't want to have to rush our visit. This turned out to be as much of a hit as the attraction. Literally adjacent to the park, the hotel is clearly geared around 'families'. The staff were engaging and cheerful from the moment we walked in. Place is very clean and facilities include bar/restaurant (£4.50/pint cider), small games room, outside area for children to play. Restaurant was very well priced and food was very good ! We had a family room which was larger than many 'mainstream' hotel chains. 32" flatscreen with inbuilt dvd player. The whole ambience of the place is so well suited to families with children and the odd 'hissy fit' that we all experience with children is not frowned upon !! Overall, it was a fabulous short break and I would fully recommend

Why do hotels neglect the shower heads? It always bugs me that a simple descaling once a week would make so much difference!

Staff very polite, pleasant and helpful. Room excellent, very comfortable, good hospitality facilities. Went to a local pub for the evening meal due to the noise from a wedding party (see below). Wide choice for breakfast, nice bread for toast.

The noise from the wedding party, who talked very loudly and across the room to each other, and whose children were running round the dining area/foyer/in and out of the entrance doors, so we went to the local pub for our evening meal (as did at least another couple and a young family). The same people were just as noisy at breakfast.
