Cosy, convenient spot to stay. We were in London for Star Wars Celebration, and getting to and from the Excel was easy (quick 20 minute journey on the Elizabeth Line & DLR, all overground too if you aren't a fan of the underground). Breakfast was a simple help yourself buffet arrangement and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large, acceptably clean and exactly what we needed. The beds were also very comfortable, and extra blankets were left in the room which was very much appreciated. Overall a lovely little place!

Some hooks on doors and similar things were broken or missing, particularly in the bathroom. This did not cause any issues for our stay but weren't particularly nice to look at. The TV remote was also missing its power button, which meant it had to be turned off/on at the wall socket. Just small things.

The staff helped us to get a parking space by moving one of their own cars - otherwise, on street parking wouldn’t have been an option without risking a fine. The location is good, just behind Ilford high street, and it’s good value for the cost. The fridges and microwaves are a good idea, since we were staying for work and wouldn’t always be going out for dinner.

The rooms did have a strange smell when we first arrived. Also the light shone through the curtains at night, and the mattresses were quite uncomfortable. None of this was an issue for us; I often sleep with the curtains open and I like a hard mattress, but other people would really struggle to sleep well.

I had a problem with the room door, it did not lock when I left the room, I reported it to staff and they said they would deal with it. it happened 3 times, was abit worried about going out all day with anyone being able to gain access at any time, a cleaner also said she reported it to get it fixed, this was room C2, everything else was great with the room, comfortable bed, good room service, would recommend this hotel to other people, nice hotel.🙂👍💯

We had to wait for breakfast as the restaurant was too small to cater for customers wanting breakfast at the same time, but the staff were still willing to cook eggs for the last people wanting breakfast. The staff were very pleasant and helpful making us feel very welcome. Arranging for taxis for us and letting us know when it had arrived. Thank you

Room was good enough for me and for my family. And breakfast was Halal breakfast, which also surve purpose of the breakfast. Very good and humble staff and alwasy there to help. In future, this will be my top priority to stay in this hotel, once i visit again to London.

Nonthing

As I got to the place was already a space for my car. Checked In, got to my room it's clean, tidy and spacious, bed are perfectly made. You got your kettle for a hot tea or coffee so now you can relax. The only issue was the wifi was not picking up in my room. The Breakfast was the best! So I went back to my room and took a power nap.

Checkin was easy. Staffs were friendly. Breakfast was good and serviced very well. House keeping is good and done on daily basis. Bus and trains are nearby. Overall, a pleasant stay and worth for money.

Great place to get to London at a good price with breakfast included.

Some very disrespectful guests making a lot of noise late at night. Funny tasting hash browns.
