Bisbee is a city known for its artistic community and mining history, and its oldest continually operated hotel, The Copper Queen, fits in perfectly. Its façade is invitingly decorative. One can imagine Edwardian ladies and mining executives basking on the balcony and verandah. The foyer and staircase beckon toward shadowy enclaves where ghosts surely abide. Modern day travelers, however, should not expect this ambiance to be accompanied by all the mod cons of a contemporary hotel chain – particularly evident at time of writing. Behind the façade, an interior upgrade was in progress. My room was relatively small, reflecting the hotel’s 1902 origin. But it was clean, quiet and, apart from one windowsill, appeared freshly painted. Overall, the room had what I needed – a desk and table lamp, mirrors, a comfortable bed (maybe needing more up-to-date bed clothes?) and an old-style bathtub, now doubling as a shower. I had long desired to stay at the Copper Queen, and would not want any of this description to put off anyone from doing so. My stay was comfortable, and the location couldn’t be more convenient for the main street’s enticing assortment of cafes and galleries. Just have regard for the oddities.
Like many a vintage bathroom, this one lacked space on which to place one’s toiletries. A small table would suffice. It’s a trivial detail but I couldn’t get the TV to respond to its remote. Of course I could have called reception, but surely it would have been a standard thing to check before a guest arrived.

The elevator was broken, so luckily we were able to change our room from the FOURTH FLOOR to the second. The staff was very accommodating in this way. However, we were then overcharged $230 because the change wasn't made in their system, or some other mystery. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. There was also a computer breach thru YOUR website, BOOKING. COM. Many people were affected, so we worried about that. It's a beautiful old hotel, and the staff were very helpful, but there were so many other issues I don't know if we will return.

The breakfast left alot to be desired. The staff was very friendly.
A little more care for the breakfasts would have been appreciated. I have worked in this industry and felt that the cleanliness not quite up to par even considering the age of the hotel. The four story climb was difficult over the three night stay with service animal in tow as the elevator was out but otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

I enjoyed the location which was near everything. It also had a great vibe and a saloon with live music and outdoor patios to relax, chat and drink. I ate breakfast at the restaurant and it was delicious even though it was pricey. The waitress was great. She seemed to be a little overwhelmed and always in a hurry but did her best to take care of our group.
Had to pay $24 for overnight parking. There was also a coffee maker in the room but the small bottles of water to use it were $4 each. I also didn’t enjoy that they don’t start checking in until 3p on the dot even though there are rooms available earlier. This results in a huge line of people waiting to check in at 3p and with the slow check in process, you can easily wait an hour to get your room.

Room was good, bathroom was huge! It was decorated well, the outside looked nice. The front porch was nice to sit on and have a cocktail in the evening and coffee in the morning. Staff was friendly and helpful. They provided a pamphlet of walking distance restaurants and driving distance.
The restaurant wasn’t open for dinner when we got there on a Wednesday evening. But they were open for breakfast and that was good. They explained that they had just changed hands and it was understandable. Great place to stay would love to go back.

Nice old feeling to the hotel. Really enjoyed that and walking distance to great places. Enjoyed the music in the bar both times we hung out there. Very cool old hotel.
Bar service pretty much sucked. Gal working walked by our table about 10 times carrying on 1 or 2 things to the kitchen. Never noticed the empty beer glass that could’ve been refilled a couple more times. We were just 1 beer buyers that night. Ordered a burger during lunch and it came back very rare. The waitress/ bartender was fine and took it back but when it came back to us it was still on the rare side. I did eat it though because it was better than the first time. The shower did not put out a good spray. Maybe there were too many people showering so the pressure was low. Water hot hot, that’s good.

The family feel of this hotel was amazing. Everyone we met made us feel like we were visiting from out of town. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was delicious.
The elevator wasn't working consistently, but the management did their best to accommodate our needs.

Very nice historic hotel ( well over 100 years old) Has in room accommodations that most hotels in town don't have. We had a lot of friendly interaction with the staff and guests. Definite do again.
As with anything now days staff shortages are a real issue! The restaurant menu was not complete and service was not as fast as it should have been. Parking in a turn of the 19th century town is not ever fun this was no exception but doable. You can walk almost everywhere.

the historic hotel is in a good location. The room was well appointed and clean. The decor made us feel like we stepped back in time
They were in the middle of redecorating. The staff was a little short, not so helpful. There is really no parking lot nearby, so we had to find our own space somewhere. Breakfast was not sufficient for the price.

The location and breakfast were great. We stayed on the 3rd floor which was under renovation. Our room was good but we did have to maneuver are construction.
The day we were there the elevator was out of order. Highly inconvenient for a 75 year old woman with bad knees and no one to help with the luggage.
