We chose Castle Rock because it was close to everything in Flagstaff and the train noise would not impact our sleep. And for that purpose it was perfect. The room was spacious and furnished very well. The bathroom was clean and nice - the shower had plenty of water pressure. We loved the bed, the sheets were very soft. The air conditioner worked well. Once in the room there was no street noise even though the property was on a main street with a lot of traffic.

The parking was tight. Of necessity it's best to back the car in so you can get out of the space easily. The main street always has traffic.

The staff/owner/manager (not sure who it was) takes clear pride in the place. We were shown to our room and shown how to use the air conditioner and TV, as well as pointed out the mini fridge and complimentary snacks and water. The room appeared to be newly updated. It was beautiful. The bed was comfortable and the towels were the softest I have ever used. Loved the shower with the shower head coming from the ceiling. Felt like I was being rained on.

It is not really a "didn't like" but more of a feature that is difficult (but manageable) when traveling with a child: room was small and the sink was outside the bathroom.

Super clean and newly remodeled. Nice towels and linen. Bed was large and comfortable. Inverter heating brand new and quiet. The lady at the counter was really nice and helpful and assigned us two rooms next to each other... Two water bottles are provided and some granola snacks which were nice touches. There is a microwave in the lobby, which opens at 9 or 10 am. The carpet seems new and clean. Lots of channels available on the tv. Close to the main road, but it wasn't too noisy.

I personally cannot stand plug in air fresheners. Would request those removed way before check in if that is a factor for you. There were 3 in a fairly small room. There is no kettle to boil water, nor hair dryer that I could find. You can get some hot water from the nice lady at the desk though. The heat blows directly onto the bed which is a bit much. But you could heat the room before retiring and turn it off, that worked. Was told that I could call uber for the short trip to airport in the morning. That was a non starter after numerous attempts and had to wake up my family way too early to take me. Could not raise a taxi either. Good thing my peeps could bail me out.

The staff was very kind and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and were obviously well taken care of. The location of Castle Rock is great, with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The area was quiet at night. There's a Starbucks next door on the north side and a McDonald's on the south side (both in very quick walking distance). I will definitely stay here again the next time we travel to Flagstaff.

Was a little frightened when we pulled up and saw the place but the staff was super friendly and the room was clean, comfortable and cute.

The only thing we didn’t like was the temperature light on the AC unit never went off so at night the room glowed and the light was in our eyes while sleeping. My husband finally got up and turned it off. Luckily it was not a hit weekend. I’m sure there is a setting somewhere that can dim it or have it turn off we just didn’t have time to mess with it.

Owner was very pleasant, helpful and informative (took me up to the room, showed me how to use the TV and a/c). I later misplaced my key and she graciously let me back in to look for it, but when I couldn't find it she charged me $10 (which she refunded when I later located it). I had an upper foor as I requested. Right next door toa Starbucks. Bed was comfortable.

Parking was tight- maybe the numbers of cars per room needs to be limited. Also, no chair in the room, although it really wasn't set up to have one there.

Everything was new inside the room and it was cozy and quiet. This was probably the best hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Although the hotel is on a busy road away from the center of town, there is a Starbucks right nextdoor and numerous restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. We ate dinner at a fabulous Thai/sushi restaurant less than a block away. The owner and staff are extremely personable and helpful.

The motel room was spotlessly clean and with a comfortable bed. It was within walking distance to dinner restaurants and for breakfast options The owner kindly lent me a hair-dryer for the duration of my stay. The front office is open until late and the owner took time to personally show us our room and how air conditioning / heater worked

A kettle in the room would have been nice but the owner kindly gave us hot water when requested

The owner Sonja was great. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Her sheets and towels are exceptional, better than some I have had a luxury hotels in Europe. She provided a small folding table and chairs so we could work and eat in the room. Close to a wide variety of restaurants close by and the historic part of Flagstaff is a comfortable walk.

The water pressure could have been better.

The location was not too far off from the highway which was convenient, the room was clean, & the bed was comfortable. It was relatively quiet even being on a busy street. The location is also right next to a Starbucks which was convenient for the next morning. The staff we encountered were very nice and the check in process was quick and easy. The parking spaces are kind of small but the whole lot is very visible and well lit which was appreciated.

The rainfall shower head had poor water pressure and did not make for a great shower experience. Also there was a scent thing plugged in and the smell of that was VERY strong. Lastly, there was no breakfast offered but they did leave some snacks and waters in the room.. my only issue with that is that both the water bottles were open already.
