We love Kohl’s ranch. It is one of our favorite spots to getaway for a weekend. Love the peaceful surroundings

There was a very loud party on Saturday night September 1st with loud music. It went from 3pm-10pm. It was horrible. We like to be up there for the peace and quiet. It was unfortunate that the volume was allowed.

All the staff was really friendly. Let's start with Todd he helped us alot. He told us all the good places to go and see. Told us about the amazing creek. It was really nice to chat with him. He took time to make sure we was OK every day. Then the other staff member was the bartender that worked all day Friday and Saturday I did not get her name. But she was also amazing as soon as we entered the salon she already knew our drinks and had them with in seconds. She was really friendly even though it was packed.she was on top of her job. Oh and house keeping was really friendly too. I've never been some where we're it seemed like they all loved their job So it made it a very nice stay. We will be going again this time we will be taking our family.

My bed was a little to firm. But I'm sure if I would have told them they would have fixed that

The room we had initially been given was not suitable for us, so Heather at the front desk was able to accommodate our needs with a wonderful option. She was over the top helpful, and the new cabin exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful time there. The location is wonderful for being outdoors and hiking. The cabins are situated right on Tonto Creek which was lovely. It is a great place for families and couple alike. It is also dog friendly.

I wish they served a breakfast. There is excellent coffee in the Lodge available 24 hours, but no food early in the day. Since the cabins have kitchens, you can stock your own breakfast, of course, but if you prefer to eat out, the restaurants are in Payson., a 20 minute drive. They do have the Country BBQ at the Lodge, but that seemed to have odd hours for us.

We were only there one night as we were crossing the state to get back home, so it was both a convenient place to stop and a chance to see what it was like. We were very favorably impressed and are looking forward to a return. We were just in a studio - next time I'd love to have one of the creekside cabins even though it's a lot bigger than what we need. Beautiful location. The restaurant for dinner was nice as well. We were on our own for breakfast (and were suitably informed, so no issue), but we simply picked up a couple of things in Payson on the way in and were fine.

We requested a certain room from the previous year for my wife's birthday and the staff accommodated us with the room we requested and a smile at check-in. The room was spacious, clean, full kitchen, fireplace, and a nice patio over looking the creek. We didn't eat in the restaurant this visit, but in the past the pizza was very good. Surprised that the pool was heated and they had a nice hot tub.

The oven could use cleaning and a few dishes seemed to be missing. Oh and could use a new corkscrew for my wife's birthday wine. But none of these things hindered the fun we had at Kohl's Ranch.

The property is up front about the fact that their internet signal is often compromised in their remote location. When I explained that I needed to conduct an early morning Zoom meeting, they directed me to the loft above the lobby, where the signal is the best. I appreciated their understanding and guidance.

People who travel here need to understand the limitations of the ranch's remote location. During the winter, the restaurant's hours are limited and so I was prepared with snacks that I could prepare in the well equipped room (toaster, coffee-maker, refrigerator, microwave. Rooms are also available with cook tops if you ask.

Very nice area next to the creek, beautiful place. Suite was great with all the kitchen equipment and utensils to cook your own food. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Very clean. The outdoor area is so relaxing, we enjoyed our walks and loved playing the giant chess game. Even the pool and spa were relaxing and enjoyable in March. Outstanding quiet place by the ponderosa trees.

Everything was great. If I have to nitpick, I’d say the bathroom fan was a bit noisy.

Beautiful grounds set right next to Tonto Creek. The first 3 nights we stayed in a one bedroom with a kitchenette and sofa. The room was set near the fire station on the other side of Tonto Creek and it was a bit more rustic, which we actually really liked. We had chairs in the front and a private patio in the back, so views all around. The next two nights We spent in the 2 bedroom 2 Bath cabin which is updated and very modern. The view from the full kitchen windows was amazing and the fireplace was really cool. The property is gorgeous, the pool is clean, the staff is super friendly and the restaurant is delicious. Fishing & hiking on property and nearby. Gas bar-b-ques and picnic tables are plentiful.

The resort advertised a gift shop but they really don't have one.

Friendly staff; wonderful surroundings with a creek and birds in the trees. Nice kitchen and room. Lovely lodge and a good restaurant on site.

The pillows! Do people really sleep on those super-fat pillows? I did get a feather pillow after the first night but even that was too plump to be entirely comfortable. There was an electric car charger that worked poorly the first time I tried it, but finally charged the smallish battery in my plug-in hybrid. The second time I tried to charge my battery the charger came on for exactly one second in several dozen attempts.

The rooms were VERY clean!!! The housekeeping staff was super friendly and accommodating.

There is a huge beautiful woodburning Fireplace in the Lobby but it was not lit. There is a posted note near fireplace asking you to ask a member of staff to light it. When I asked staff they told me they don't light it until 7PM (the Bar/Restaurant closes at 8PM and Lodge activities close at 10PM) It was NEVER lit BOTH nights that we stayed on Friday or Saturday.
