The overall environment is very welcoming for a wide variety of people. Personally, I stayed with my son due to a layover….we had a blast. However, I can see the appeal for solo travel & business travel in the future. The biggest bonus points for an amazing free breakfast, from the menu to the service, it was a 10/10 for me.

Every business can improve. The only down fall was the air conditioning clearly needed service, it sounded on the brink of failure & woke us up throughout the night because it sounded like someone pounding on our door or trying the door handle. Unfortunately in the 100+ heat, turning the AC off wasn’t an option. Last but not least, our bedding had small stains when we arrived. Staff was able to problem solve and address the issue in a timely manner! All is well!

loved the view ! has many rooms and property is over all really clean ! the fitness room as well! has many plugs for phones. didn’t like that my room did not include a microwave when it said it would . but I LOVED THEIR COOKIES. best cookies I’ve ever tasted

disliked the pillows they were a bit uncomfortable . also bathtub size is a bit too small. and they didnt put toothpaste so that’s a inconvenience

Nice hotel, we were just stopping off on a journey so was perfect just for a good nights sleep.

They moved us from a king to a queen due to noise from the freeway. Room was fine but a few maintenance issues and attention to detail needed. Fittings did not fit the wall properly in the bathroom and we couldn’t get the shower to work.

I can always depend on having a solid night sleep at Doubletree. The room faced the pool and was very quiet. The bed was wonderful and I slept like a baby. The wonderful hospitality, especially at breakfast, was fantastic. Bambi, who waited on me, was such a lovely and gracious woman. Very friendly!

Unfortunately, although the bathroom was wonderful, the shower had no hot water. I let it run for a few minutes, but the cold water remained. Once I got in, I was fine though. It sure woke me up.

Convenience. Was right off of the freeway. Lots of places to eat. No room service, but you can order bar food, which was very good, by the way, and take it to your room. We had a junior suite, which was a corner unit. Very spacious; you could practically live in the place. Best of all, the beds were very comfortable. Even for an overnight stay, I would pick this room.

For those with a disability, I noticed that when we parked around the backside of the hotel, there were no ramps of any kind to get inside of the hotel. You need a key card to actually get in after you climb five steps. That was the only draw back.

The two room suite was very nice! Really big, clean, and comfy. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel is right by the freeway- which is nice if you want something just off the freeway but our room was in the back of the hotel and we could hear the freeway even when the balcony was closed. Not that bad- but I would've rather be looking towards the courtyard not the freeway and parking lot.

The room was clean and so was the rest of the hotel. They allowed us to check in a little early since I would not be able to check-in at the regular time as I was on a business trip. The property was well lit at night and felt safe leaving my work gear in the car.

The elevator was on the opposite side of our room. So it was either walk up to the 4th floor or walk to the end of the building, take the elevator then walk back in the direction we just came from.

The property itself was quite nice. I did not expect how big the hotel itself was. There is a restaurant on site, clean pool. Costco across the street, restaurants near by at walking distance, Freeway On Ramps next door.

It seemed like some rooms had higher door gaps than others which allowed guests to be easily heard from their rooms.

even though check out was at 12:00 noon, they deactivated our key cards at 11:45, before we could get all our things out of our room, we had to call the front desk to re-activate our key cards until we removed all of our things from our room.

My family and I were warmly welcomed when we arrived. The room was a nice size, clean and inviting. We love staying at this DoubleTree. This location is excellent for going anywhere in Bakersfield. If water bottles were in the rooms when guest arrive. that would be a definite bonus because it is Hot in Bakersfield. Patricia Williams

Water should be provided when guest arrive. I have no complaints. We enjoyed our stay.
