The price was great, loved the location. We went up to Big Bear just to getaway for the weekend, wanted to take the kids to the zoo which was just right up the street, and it’s also 6 minutes driving away from all the downtown area with all the shops and restaurants. Also very close to the ski resorts. The lodge also had a nice big area in front of the rooms behind the office with a small playground and large seating area for small gatherings and functions. The gentleman at the front desk was very kind and professional.

The family room we ended up was really nice, with a small kitchen and a sofa in front of the fireplace.

Bathroom was not nice. The shower was very weak and no pressure, we showered feeling cold. The room we had booked for 5 people through Booking was very small, impossible to stay. The receptionist suggested us a new family room at an additional cost. This one was way better. They even charged for the firewood we used to light the fireplace, which could in my opinion be offered as a courtesy to the guest.

Clean, good size suite for a couple with two kids. My boys slept in the sofa bed and had no complains. Big smart TV so you can use your own logins. Good shower, water was very hot. Heater works great too. Full kitchen. It’s not fancy and could use some updates but if you are looking for a place just to make your own meals and sleep after a long day exploring town (skiing, biking, etc), this is a perfect one. Great location.

Nothing. Just a suggestion: a big pasta pot and a pasta drainer in the kitchen would be helpful.

Property & Location: I got more of a cabin feel with my stay than I did motel, which isn't always easy to provide to guests. The view from all of the rooms is a quaint courtyard area. There are string lights with multiple sitting areas for dining, drinks, and relaxing. Easy to find and parking is adequate even at full occupancy. At sunrise, the light shines through the trees which during winter months can be magical. Goldmine is located just down the street from Dank Donuts, Big Bear Zoo, the Ski Lifts, and is only minutes away from Big Bear Lake. Also, the property connects to a paved walking path which connects all of the hotels in on the street. Room: We attended as two parties in separate rooms. Our room was the more basic of the tow, but came complete with a "fireplace" (furnace), fridge, and microwave. Although the place showed its age, it definitely was clean. At check-in, the toilet was sealed to indicate being cleaned. No mold in the shower grout and the carpet is probably what one might expect from an older property. The room for the other group in our party was great. From the rustic snowshow decor to the real wood-burning fireplace + full kitchen, it just felt homey. Staff: In a word, memorable. In particular, Olena was fantastic - from a personality so warm it could melt the snow to remembering the small details like our hair dryer from days before check-in, she elevated the guest experience. She greeted and checked on us at every opportunity and my family agrees the stay would not have been the same without her.

I could not figure out the sink faucet lol. I think it was broken, but am also aware the property is under renovation. The coffee maker for our other group didn't work, but ours did, so we worked around it.

Location! Quiet! Rustic charm! Affordable! Customer service was excellent. Sunny, in the office, made the check-in quick and effortless. He even upgraded us to a suite! We always look for a place that is dog friendly because we travel with our GSD. The fee was a flat rate of $40. The outside area had a small playground, grass, wooden chairs, and BBQ. Great for sitting outside and relaxing under the stars.

I loved the location. Very close to The Village. I loved the grounds of the property. It was so beautiful and quiet. I also loved the courtyard right outside. It was nice and peaceful to sit out there and enjoy the view of trees. And it has lights strung outside so that was so pretty at night

There was nothing I didn’t like. It was wonderful

Nice little room for the money. Management was very nice about letting us check in early. We were there less than 24 hrs and didn't ask about or use wifi, so I don't the quality of that.

There was no air conditioning and it was quite hot, but very few places in Big Bear have air conditioning and they did provide 2 fans in the room.

on our second day, the lock of our room was broken and we couldn‘t open it again… Olena was there to help us and she offered us the bigger room with kitchen and living area for the other two nights. That was very generous of her! We didn‘t have to pay extra and we could enjoy our stay very much!! we also liked the outdoor area with the cute lights and everything was there to use for a nice bbq. There are grocerystores near by and it‘s a quiet area! We also liked the little dog called Raja;)

Everything!! Stayed there last year in august. And this year in september. I'm plan on staying there next year in august. Next I would like to get the family Suite I believe it's apartment 14😄
