Renovated Motor Lodge. The owners rebuilt the facility after a fire 7 years ago. Bishop is surrounded by mountains. Grocery store next door. Extremely friendly staff. We drove to Bishop from Las Vegas through Death Valley scenic Hwy to US 395, which runs next to the Sierra Nevada mountains all the way to Bishop. Great drive, great place to stay.

The rooms are small, and they should have warmer lighting as the fluorescent lighting is harsh on the eyes.

Nice room with everything I needed. They had a pool with a hot tub, but did not take advantage of this. They also had some fair for breakfast, which was very convenient.

While I took advantage of what they had to offer for breakfast, it was limited. Forks and knives were missing. The coffee was tepid, but still good. Finally, the location, while convenient on hwy 395, it was towards the end of town, fortunately there were restaurants and bakeries nearby.

We stayed one night on Sunday and it wasn’t busy. Our room was in the back corner on the second floor & it was quiet. The room was nice and clean with a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. There were lots of channels available on the tv cable which is comforting if we get stuck during a blizzard. The bed is comfortable and we like having the bathroom sink separate from the shower and toilet. The continental breakfast was good with several choices. We will definitely stay there again.

All amenities needed for a one night stay available! Nice pool! Highly recommended place!

Unfortunately the young man at the office wasn't very sociable and helpful while checking-in. He made us wait very long with no words of explanation. When we wanted to change the room, he helped us, but, again, it was a 20 mins waiting time.. Fortunately, next day the reception Staff were extremely nice and friendly.

the check in experience was awesome. Vincent was friendly and accommodating. The room was on the ground floor as requested since we have 2 small dogs. the room was clean and comfortable with a great TV, even thought the room was a little on the small side. there is also a nice grassy dog are behind the back of the hotel which our dogs loved. A bonus was that Denny's offered a 10% discount for people staying at the hotel and my wife and I had a great dinner there. Vons is also next door if you need to grab some supplies for the remainder of your trip.

Only downside was people arriving at 11:00 pm with a Budget rental truck trying to back into a space in the parking lot. Beep, beep, beep for 5 minutes waking everyone up. It would be nice if the hotel had a park trucking area for these kind of folks.

I was pleasantly surprised about how much we liked staying here. An older property that is well maintained. We had an accessible room which was located in back of the property, across from a wonderful pet area complete with grills and tables. We enjoyed sitting there in the evenings. The room was clean and included coffee maker, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, microwave and refrigerator. I especially liked how the property is contained within itself so there wasn't opportunity for anyone wandering through the property that should not be there. There is a pool and also a nice area for anglers to clean their fish caught in surrounding wilderness areas. Breakfast is also complimentary or you can visit many great eateries close by. Fresh popcorn made in the lobby area, as well!

My only con would be that we couldn't figure out how to make the refrigerator colder. I am sure there was a way but we just used our ice chest. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I am sure they would have helped us if I had asked.

A clean quiet room that was recently upgraded. It was quiet in the late evenings especially considering it was fully booked with new visitors both nights I was there. It's centrally located in town and pet friendly, as well as having facilities for those fishers who need to clean their catch. Microwave and fridge in room also made stashing some extra food much easier.

Water pressure wasn't the greatest. Certainly useable but a little underwhelming after a long day.

comfortable bed and quiet so you can get a good night sleep, the jacuzzi was great for after-skiing. plenty of parking. walking distance to restaurants nearby.

i didn't read the fine print and was surprised there was a $5 resort fee upon checking in and i'm not sure why there is een a resort fee. the breakfast is bare bones so you might want to plan on eating elsewhere if you're looking for a fuller breakfast with protein options.

Great room which was really clean and comfortable. The bed was so comfortable! This room was very quiet, even though there was a lot of hoopla surrounding the rodeo, going on. I enjoyed my stay quite a bit!

The bagels were stale, and the breakfast was very unappetizing. Might be good to either "re-do" the breakfast offering, or do away with it.

The room was large and very clean. Bed and linens were comfortable. AC was a wall unit and worked very well. Hotel is on the edge of town so it is very quiet but within walking distance of stores and restaurants. Other Hotel guests were mostly families and were friendly and quiet.

I was unimpressed with the breakfast offerings. Coffee was weak and no actual milk available. Usually I will at least be able to get yogurt or a bowl of cereal but these were not offered
