Staff is super helpful and friendly, the style of the building and rooms is impeccable! I received sheets quickly upon request on the evening. I got food to go very quickly first thing in the morning at the Silver Trumpet and it was delicious.

The Wi-Fi was extremely slow in the room which was inconvenient for my partner working there. We also both experienced fairly poor reception on our phones despite having different phones and carriers. The gym could be larger as it was very crowded at 5:30am to the point that some folks couldn't find space or machines. I also had trouble streaming Netflix on the TV in the room.

great location.

Our room was run down. The couch was very worn out, lacked shape and was uncomfortable to sit on. Bathroom had a bad leak behind the tub that basically kept the bathroom floor very damp all the time. The wood directly outside the bathroom door was warped so this obviously had been happening for a long time and no one noticed. We liked the location. We stayed here 4 or so years ago and that’s why we returned but the hotel clearly needs some maintenance and repairs. Also for the price and a $30 per day parking fee on top of the price, there should be housekeeping service every day without having to ask.

The location is walking distance from the Segerstrom theater. It is an elegant comfortable hotel with easy parking. I loved all the convenient touches… from the lights in the headboard that are perfect for those of us who read in bed. Plenty of hot water and the water pressure in the shower. The ease of walking to the pool and jacuzzi. Access to an exercise room. The ease of an on-site restaurant that has extremely reasonable happy hour prices. The comfort and cleanliness of the room. The sweet touch of having a personalized welcome message on the TV. The professional yet warm and helpful front desk. The ease of being checked in.

I would have preferred the price quoted having had parking already included. I am not a fan of being “nickels and dimed”.

I love that it was right next to OCMA and South Coast Plaza and the water pond out back was nice for a walk and view out my hotel window. The toiletries provided was also great. I wish there was toothpaste as I had to go out and buy that.

I could hear other guests very well through the walls and down the hallway. It wasn't very quiet. Also, there were hairs (from prior guests) stuck to the walls and ceilings in the bathroom that were not cleaned.

Clean and well laid out! Vast majority of the employees were very friendy - the food was very good as well!

During check in - It was not fully explained to me that there was a 100 hold in addition to hte daily rate. nor was I offered a key to the mini-bar. I didn;t even know there WAS a key to the mini bar until I stepped away from the front desk and the next person in line after me was offered a key right away. The front desk person was stoic when I came back to ask for it and not very friendly - The printer to use for printing boarding passes isvery old and did not work to print boarding passes off, so I had to ask at hte front desk.

Very nice hotel, restaurants were within walking distance. Excellent lighting in the bathroom, my wife was able to put her makeup on without any issues, the magnification mirror was a big plus. I like that you can turn off the light and adjust the AC without having to get out of bed because of the location of the light and AC control.

I was told that this was a five star hotel, however the technology and some other small details did not live up to our expectations. All the phone chargers at the bed side seemed to be very slow. The ironing board did not have a decent cover to adequately provide a smooth finish after ironing. If you have a high vehicle (large SUV) with a mounted rack at the top, you would not be able to park under the building, you may have to ask to use the employee parking outside. Like I said minor details, but it makes a difference when everything is taken into consideration.

Ambience was nice. Waitress at dinner was excellent. Staff was friendly. Pillows and bedding were very nice.

No coffee cups in the a.m. No guide to services (restaurant menu, amenities) available in the room. It was loud. I believe events--maybe weddings, etc.--were being held or wedding parties were staying. The amount of loud talking outside our room was significant. We were also placed in a patio room, which while nice also had guests outside in the area with children running around. Not the end of the world but as we had an early rise the next morning, the volume of activity was not great for us as we were going to sleep.

Clean rooms, quiet HVAC systems, the walk around the lake/ turtles. The small outside sitting area by the lobby and shower without the tub. Super clean and quiet overall. Was greeted by gentlemen opening the door and friendly staff.

Our room was kind of far from the pool, I('ll request a closer room next time. I'd like to see some more basic appetizers at the bar, chip salsa, finger foods. Small balconies, it would be nice to have some small chairs to sit out there and have a couple drinks. Tight parking, my truck would not have fit, but my car was fine.

I liked that our room was quiet. We didn't hear any of the other guests at night.

I was disappointed we had to pay for parking. It should be included with cost of hotel.
