location and ambiance

initial check was at 4; I came in around 2 and pleasantly told I could check in earlier. I planned this stay in memory of my younger brother who loved HB and would’ve been 29, 18th. my cc in file was nit updated ; point is there was an “ issue” my card locked had to call it in . however it’s the way the young lady handled it, dismisses me, tone to opposed to reassure me, and tell me no problem ma’am call it in take your time, her body language, her tone was dismissive but at all helpful but more of “ sure uh huh,go call your bank “ . I really wish I remembered her name .

The hotel was great, staff was good, my only complaint is that the jacuzzi was not working properly. I paid a lot of money for one night and was excited to try the pool and spa out. It was an overcast day and the weather was a bit cooler. Hotel guests were complaining and hotel staff said they weee working on it and another hotel staff member said that there was a wedding going on and other staff was busy tending to them, we are just as important and a wedding has no concern with other hotel guests stay.

It was really comfortable! And beautiful! The desk staff was very kind!

The pool service was inconsistent. Some of the staff were wonderful but others may have been having a bad day? Not sure how you could have a bad day here. I would have liked a few more menu selctions. There are 3 restaurants that are all separate so you cannot get anything from any other menu even though the dining spots are 2 steps away from eachother.

I like the pool I liked the bed the bathroom was OK but I really needed a tub to soak in there was no tub I requested the side where I can look down at the pool and see the beach I did not get that request breakfast was $140 and was kind of cold don’t get me wrong I had a beautiful time and will actually come stay again but you asked so I’m letting you know

Also I was looking forward to getting a massage a couple spa that was not able to happen because you were booked out that was one of the main reasons for coming there we really wanted the experience of the couples massage there and after spending all that money we did not get that treatment the bartenders were great I haven’t had a drink in 10 years in the piña colada was awesome thank you for your hospitality it was just a little things that could’ve been better like my breakfast was cold $140 that very much upset me I did not have a time to relax and that was upsetting and when I went to the balcony I did not have my poolside to look down on an at the beach that was very upsetting besides that I loved it and will be coming again for the Fourth of July thank you

Room was very clean and had an amazing view of the beach and sunset. Bed was very comfortable and room overall was great...we had just as much fun hanging out on the balcony as we did walking around town. Short walk to beach and downtown HB.

The price of hotels by the beach is insanely expensive. We get it, supply and demand, but give me a break. We can recall when the hotel first opened I believe we stayed for mid $200 pricing. So this was a huge splurge for a special occasion just to get in a nice hotel by the beach. Aside from price, I don't think there was anything else we didn't like. We enjoyed every aspect of our trip. Definitely want to make our way back to Pasea in the future.

We enjoyed the view and the room temperature.

The Peleton exercise bike was not connected to the Internet yet the screen said to login. So when I tried to create a login and password that it finally liked, I got the error message about not being connected to the Internet. Put up a sign that it is not connected to the internet and let people put up their own iPad so they can look at something while they are exercising.

Beautiful, relaxing environment, the spa treatments are expensive but one of my favorite memories of the trip!

Checking in was a nightmare; I was told I could use different means of paying to check in, because I was traveling with my sister & we were splitting the bill. When I arrived after traveling over 1800 miles was told that my bill & plus an additional $600 deposit would all have to be paid by one form of payment. I had previously emailed customer service to insure neither of these things was going to be an issue, and I was NOT told the truth! I also don't appreciate the staff having to look through my personal beach bag in order to prove I didn't bring food/drink into the pool area, it's discomforting & unnecessary in my opinion- surly they are not that concerned with alcohol/food sales... a bit tacky in my opinion.

Beautiful rooms, great location, nice design of spaces, friendly staff

Difficult to find spots to lay at the pool together, slow service of drinks and food at pool. The parking fee is too steep and should be included in your stay so you can just tip valet as you come and go.

Great location, very friendly staff, lovely pool, great room with ocean view and balcony. Complimentary water and wine, loved the shower.

We were not informed in advance that there wouldn’t be any housekeeping due to cautiousness of COVID. We stayed 5 days and had to change our bed ourselves, garbage in front of other doors, expensive overnight parking (no special package offered), no compensation for no housekeeping.

The location couldn't have been much better - right across the street from the beach! We were in town for my daughter's graduation from nursing school in Irvine, which was the day after we checked in. Our friend invited us to see a great live band the first night - Kelly Boyz at Old Crow Smokehouse, within walking distance from the hotel so that's why we stayed there. It was a little more expensive than I wanted to spend but the 4 of us shared a room and we got a free bottle of wine and 2 pairs of flip flops which, even though they weren't expensive gifts, really made a difference. Plus, the staff was incredibly friendly - from the valet to Peter the bell hop to the front desk - all super-great!!!

Honestly can't gripe about the price. Location is everything!! I wouldn't spend that much all the time but every now and again is so worth it for the great atmosphere and ammenities so close by!
