Located on the PCH on the outskirts of Long Beach near Seal Beach walking distance from Ralph supermarket and The Gaslamp diner/ music venue. The room (2 queen size beds) was big with a balcony facing the garden and pool. Fridge/ microwave available for use and a coffee machine. Soap bar,Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion were provided (big bottles pump style) and were of great quality and smells really nice. Air con was good. Our room was 255 so second floor (no one on top) & at the back which was great as really quiet. Stayed 10 nights and had 10 nights of great sleep as beds were very comfortable. Laundry room with 2 WM & 2 dryers which cost $4 each (pay by card only) and you can buy a washing pod for $2 from reception. (So $10 to wash and dry) Pool is heated and there are 8 sun loungers and some table and chairs. Jacuzzi available too. A female squirrel has become a pet and will come to take monkey nuts from your hand, very friendly.

Floor is carpet in the room and really need a carpet wet cleaner as vacuum cleaning is not enough any more. When walking barefooted, our feet were dirty after showering even though we took our shoes off on entering the room. The room are not cleaned nor replenish with coffee/ towels etc…unless you request it at reception and then sometimes they forget. You have to constantly get coffee, cups etc from reception too.

Great location, interior courtyard area is well kept. Pool is refreshing. Everyone at the front desk were kind and helpful.

Needs some updating or a good paint job. We understand not having housekeeping daily since people dont want to work since the pandemic. But, it was hard to get clean towels for one day of our stay. Asked at the desk, they were out. Called desk next morning they said ok but an hour later still nothing. Asked housekeeper in hall, she will ask another housekeeper. Asked guy walking down hall with a load of dirty towels, got the brush off. Finally got some towels but it took over an hour.

Room was a lovely size, with 2 balconies, an extra large bed, microwave and fridge. The staff (2 gentlemen, wish I could remember their names) who checked us in were lovely. Pool area was nice, with some tables, chairs and sunbeds. If you are on a budget and looking for somewhere reasonably priced, I would recommend this property - I would definitely stay here again.

I can't say I didn't like it, but have always been put off by the appearance of motel-type properties from the outside. This experience changed my mind completely and I will definitely consider this type of property in the future and look at the rooms and facilities before writing them off.

The young female (I wish I caught her name) who checked us in was so pleasant and really made us feel right at home.

We were there 2 days and no housekeeping. When we got back from our fishing trip on Monday at 5pm we expected to have fresh towels, trash picked up, and a new bag for the ice bucket but no housekeeping was done. Then, on check out day housekeeping wakes us up at 9am to see if we checked out yet so they can clean the room! Where the heck were they the day before?

During my stay, I enjoyed all the cable channels that were offered since it was a Saturday and College Football is one of my favorite things to watch. I also liked the location being close to the Long Beach Convention Center since I would be participating in the Long Beach Half Marathon. I also liked the staff. Ashlee and the rest of the team helped me get checked in rather quickly. I didn't feel lost when looking for my room.

I didn't like the bathroom because it had an underflowing toilet. I also didn't like the fact that the refrigerator kept making a noise while I tried to sleep. Finally, I didn't like that the staff didn't have any plastic utensils on hand for guests. I know that their breakfast service has been cancelled since the beginning of Covid but they should at least accomodate this for guests that brought their own food.

The room was large, quiet, and my request for handicapped amenities was fulfiled. Staff is friendly and helpful. They answer the phone immediately, unlike some other hotels. The garden and balconies are perfect, including a garden gezebo. the pool is big - (to 8 feet depth) nd not over-chlorinated. I love this hotel. I even went home and ordered bottles of the shampoo and lotins they had in the rooms. Golden Sails is the best. in its class!

We came here to stay a night for a unexpected loss of ours n the staff was extremely friendly very pet friendly especially the alady who checked us in I believe her name wz marge . She wz amazing ! They welcomed my pit bull with welcome arms and my pet pig, yes I said it pet pig ! They made us feel so welcomed I do recommend this hotel if you need somethin reasonable pricing and a nice positive theme! Oh ya and they have a balcony which was a super plus !

As we were leaving, a woman was beating up on a young man. Gives the hotel a bad reputation and degrades it. It made my fiance and I uncomfortable and unsafe.

I did like that it was a grocery store nearby and a park across the street to walk

Only person who spoke with me and acknowledge me while I stayed here was the overnight person during the day no one said hi or anything I even seen them saying hi to other people it's sad because of the color of your skin

Thank you again for the wonderful accommodations . This pool felt refreshing , perfect weather , quiet nights , comfortable beds . My room reservation started with 2 nights . I enjoyed my room so much I booked 2 more . Fabulous stay , the new management and staff were so nice and helpful . Parking and free Wi-Fi . Beautiful evenings with a view can’t get this experience anywhere else .

Housekeeping was only provided upon request . There was only decaf coffee in our room .
