Was walking distance from the Hollywood walk of fame, clean sheets, comfortable beds, felt safe walking at night since there always seemed to be other tourists around. All staff were nice and willing to answer any questions I had.

The bathroom was a little small and couldn’t choose top or bottom bunk, but none of those were a huge deal to me.

Very well located, easy to walk to (5min) from Hollywood Blvrd station, located a few minutes walk from madam Tussauds, staff are nice bottom bunk is most comfortable, next door to the magicians private club, easy to get to from down town LA using the railway. nice kitchen facilities and access to fridges etc, good wifi, nice place to explore Hollywood from used to be a halfway house for Thespians back in the day. easy to visit universal studies from here using the hop on hop off bus and also roosavelt hotel is nearby.

All was good.

Located so close to main attractions! Easy to find from public transit and by Lyft drivers. My room was clean and very comfortable. The front desk staff carried up my suitcase for me and made sure I was set with towels, offered tips on the neighborhood, and showed me how the keys worked. I felt very safe my entire stay, even though I was in a huge city I’d never visited. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and am already dreaming of my next trip to LA!

I found everything about this hostel to be great. I have no complaints at this time.

I have been staying at the Orange Drive Hostel whenever I come to LA for over a decade. I love the building, and always find it clean and comfortable. As a woman walking alone back to my room, often in the evening, I always feel safe coming back to Orange Drive Hostel. And given its location around the corner from a tourist mecca (the Chinese Theater with the stars' footprints), it's remarkably quiet and peaceful. I'm so glad that Orange Drive survived COVID - and I'll be back the next time I visit LA!

A very clean and charming old house converted into a hostel. Quaint touches like original fixtures throughout the building. Nice shady backyard for some quiet time. Surprisingly quiet considering how close it was to the action on Hollywood Blvd.

There was noise from inside the building throughout the night and early morning- quiet times weren't always respected. The first aid kit should be updated- I burnt myself fairly badly on scalding hot water in the kitchen, and while the receptionist was quick to help when I asked, there weren't any supplies in the kit that were useful. I was surprised that there was not an indication on/near the tap stating that the water was boiling/scaling for coffee/tea/cooking, and not suitable for washing hands.

This is the nicest hostel I have ever seen. It was so pretty and SO clean. The staff were really kind and helpful. The location is as good as it gets too. It's right off the Hollywood Walk of Fame and you'll find everything you need within close walking distance. There's close access to public transports as well, and yet, the hostel was still quiet and cozy even though it's right in the middle of things. I really enjoyed my stay and wished I had stayed longer. Just book this place you won't find another nicer I promise.

Very friendly staff and both the room and toilet/shower rooms are kept clean during my stay. I love how the "old fashioned" hostel feel and atmosphere. Location is great - quiet enough from all the buzz at night but convenient to metro and buses. It depends on who is staying at the same time but I completely lucked out and the people I share the room with were courteous and very respectful. I got a bed next to the toilet/shower expecting it to be noisy if people use it late at night, and surprisingly, the noise did not bother me at all and I slept through both nights during my stay.

The immediate area where the hostel is located feels safe, however depending on the day of the week and time of the day, the walk to and from the metro/bus stop could be a little rough, but I guess that's just the compromise for the convenient location. The basin in the shower room is so small it's difficult to brush teeth or wash face, but for a few nights it's adequate,

Great location in Hollywood. Around the corner from the Ovation mall complex and walk of fame. Easy to walk to bus or metro and this area felt very safe conpared to others in LA

Beautiful and peaceful hostel super close to the hustle of Hollywood Boulevard but you wouldn't know being there. Rooms are spacious and facilities include laundry and kitchen as well as a beautiful patio area. Very close to a good metro line to downtown and east Hollywood. The staff were incredibly helpful and recommended some great cafes in the area for us. Would highly recommend this place for people who aren't looking for a party vibe but for a relaxed and safe place to lay their head.

Pillows are a bit flat is the only minor criticism I have.

The location is amazing. Both for exploring Hollywood as for reaching other parts of town. The hostel is in a surprisingly quiet street with gorgeous Gardens and terraces.

The room was very sparsely furnished. A nightstand and black out shades would have made a whole lot of difference. Because it is a hostel in a 1920s home everything makes a lot of noise and the walls are paper thin. Bring some earplugs and a sleeping mask and you'll be able to sleep just fine. The room was not super clean, we could find some hairs from previous guest and the bed linen and towels were stained (not necessarily dirty, but mostly stained).
