Restaurant: Food and staff were very good. Housekeeping staff were always pleasant & smiling, and able to help. There are quiet hours, but during daytime, the Brazilian music outside adds to a great atmosphere. Nice vegetation and trees (including a pomegranate!) which is not the usual at a "motor hotel." The outside color scheme is varied, dazzling and fun.

The floors in the room seem dirty. Housekeeping should wash the floors since they are tile.

This place is absolutely perfect. I was a solo traveler, in town for a concert, and this place was excellent on all levels. The aesthetic is gorgeous. Plants, music, tables, excellent design that makes you want to read a book and have a coffee or beer outside your room the whole time. The rooms were also cute. Clean, comfortable, directtv, air conditioning, heat, etc. There's parking. The area felt safe. Great location. Great value.

Nothing. The rooms aren't too big but they're not small either. I'm in a chain hotel as we speak and the room at villa brasil was the same

The room was well appointed and very clean. Cute little dining table all set for enjoying. The bed was very comfortable and the pretty bed spread was a very special touch. It made the room feel very cozy. Cafe Brasil is right next door and at my request they put on the baseball game for me.

The only thing that I didn't care for was the proximity of the room to the laundry room and housekeeping. It was not loud or disruptive by any means. It just felt "busy". Which actually is just saying that everything was being well taken care of - which is a good thing.

Culver City proved to be a good location for our various activities. Villa Brasil was clean, reasonably priced and had free on-site parking. The décor is charming and warm. The room was comfortable, with plenty of storage and spots to sit and read or eat. They kindly stocked the room with coffee/tea materials, and some fruit, soda and candy bars, which was sweet. The wifi was good. I also appreciated that even though we were on the ground floor, we could open the curtains and even the windows without anybody looking in.

For the price, I can't add much. The neighborhood is gentrifying, which means it's mixed in various ways. You can walk to coffee shops and yoga studios....and there's a more downscale motel next door. But we felt perfectly safe in the motel and I walked alone each morning with no concerns.

The rooms were pleasant and comfortable - everything was clean, the furniture was in good shape, nothing was worn or scruffy. It felt well looked after and cared for. The central courtyard is cheerfully painted and decorated, and the staff were always helpful. The Cafe Brasil was a great place for a reasonably-priced meal. We've stayed in a few places around Culver City and Santa Monica and this was definitely the best of them.

Could have used a guide to operate the A/C-fan-heating system - it was inscrutable!

The Brazilian menu food at the restaurant associated with this lovely little boutique motel was incredibly delicious, flavorful and generous in its portions. We adored the decorations and the laid-back bossa nova music piped into the motor court area (where cute little outdoor tables and chairs are located).

We had a bit of difficulty finding a way to heat up our unit, when the outdoor temps fell unexpectedly. We didn’t have much in the way of heavy blankets or thick comforter on the bed. Maybe one of those kept in the closet for those rare cold nights would be helpful?

Enjoyed regional food in your restaurant, as well as bright colors and vivid landscaping to really let us know we were in Brazil. I found table set up for meals, and numerous documents and appliances on almost every surface, which had to be consolidated, stacked, or removed before I could set down anything. Too much clutter. All pertinent, just in the way of move-in

noted under clutter above. Other than that your facilities met or exceeded our expectations, served our needs, and we can honestly say there was nothing we didn't like.

Unfortunately, it was just an overnight stay on our way up to Napa and we had a scheduled concert in Santa Monica that night. Would love to go back and check out the restaurant and surrounding area another time. Everything was exceptional. Loved the artsy decor. It was so refreshing. The friendliness and hospitality of the owner made it clear that this was not an ordinary motel stop. It was evident that she really took pride in her place and aimed to please. The addition of some coffee and fruit in the morning was an excellent touch.

No complaints!

The location was perfect. I was the perfect distance from all the major attractions I wanted to see in LA. Including Venice, Santa Monica, Marina Del Ray, Hollywood, Bel Air, Beverly Hills, etc. I was a female solo-traveler and felt very safe here. The staff was accommodating and very kind. They made sure I felt comfortable and had what I needed.

This little motel is a surprise. I usually stay at the big names, but the writeups seemed very attractive. The setting is unique in an enclosed courtyard which feels very safe and friendly. The staff (Marcelino) and others are wonderful. Very welcoming. The motel is colorful and expresses Brazilian heritage. If you don't appreciate a bit of alternative then this place may not be for you. The motel is close to my son's apartment so that was a great ft. It is easy to access via highways, and it is in a small Brazilian community of Culver City. That in itself is an experience. We ate at the nearby authentic and reasonably price Brazilian restaurant. I must say the even though it is a bit funky, there was a lot of thought placed into room amenities and it was a great fit for me. There was a small dining area, plenty of coffee and creamer. Basic kitchen utensils, nice lighting and USB charging stations. Plus, you can park your car right by your room door. The bathroom was small and well thought out. If you want something safe, clean, and different I highly recommend Via Brazil!
