Location is very convenience - next to the shopping center. Parking, wifi are free. Breakfast is awesome. Room is very clean.

The air conditioner wasn’t working properly—it was giving off heat even though I had it set to 60 degrees. Since it was late at night, I didn’t want to bother anyone. I requested a late checkout because I checked in after 7 PM, but I was told the latest we could stay was until 12 PM. My son hadn’t had a chance to use the pool in the evening, and we wanted more time there, which was the main reason for requesting the extension. Overall, we had a great experience, except for the front desk staff not being very welcoming during check-in. A simple smile would have made all the difference

The cleanliness and location.

The bathroom bath tub is to dangerous, you might want or need to upgrade it to tiles shower only, for the safety of everyone. And most of the garbage bin has no plastic bag in it to save the dirt inside. Also if only you can add fruits, for breakfast, as well as to not put some liquid products like milk or cream in a container that can easily be opened, maybe a wall attached dispenser or secured metal/tin machine dispenser for the safety of everyone’s health. Thank you.

We come frequently we love the room and the area of the hotel and the fire place

The front desk person that works in the evening was simply horrible to the point I thought the hotel was under new management . My husband and I travel frequently to this Inn and have never felt so unwelcome when checking in. It was like she didn't want to be at work.

Loved the hotel, beautiful well maintained grounds, super quiet, comfortable, close to Whole Foods and other quick shopping needs. Right next to freeway onramp to Carmel. Parking included. Minutes to downtown, staff were great, room was great!

We had zero internet service the whole time, plus we were in some kind of dead zone so didn’t have cell service anywhere on the property either. Tried calling the number they gave for internet issues, it didn’t get fixed. We made it work by sitting outside on the patio where we had two bars of cell service, lol. In the grand scheme of things, we would still stay here again, it was doable, just annoying. The breakfast wasn’t hot and most had lots of sugar…but they had lots of options to choose from including fruit and bagels, so it was fine. The outdoor furniture didn’t seem like it was cleaned often, tables weren’t cleaned at all. But…Not a lot we didn’t like, these were minor inconveniences.

I’m happy on the price of our room plus with free breakfast, free parking, Spa hot tub, swimming pool although it’s outdoor, they provided 2 white bathrobes,2 slippers. We enjoyed the pool before we left.I like their breakfast.It has variety of choices. The location is not a walking distance in Monterey Bay aquarium.we drove and pay parking.over all I’m very satisfied and happy to recommended it to my friends.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and happy to assist with any concerns. Continental breakfast was a bonus! It was also nice to have the mall across the street for restaurants and some shopping. I really like the hotel.

The only drawback was the noise between the floors, (not walls). I stayed 2 nights and the guests above were different each night and it was quite loud with them just walling. I really like the hotel, but would request a room on the top floor.

Nice spacious room, nicely decorated with pictures, fish decor, fireplace & comfortable bed. Elevator in convenient location. Guest slippers nice touch. Continental breakfast with nice choices, Pet Friendly when we booked was one reason, we chose Mariposa Inn & suites.

Room 302, the window should be replace/upgraded, transit bus route, squeaky breaks, noisy street below! I booked in advance requesting a quiet room, if possible, the hotel was not booked full. Maybe the front desk did not want to accommodate our request thinking my request was a nuisance, my opinion.

We were upgraded to a town house King room upstairs and Queen Murphy bed downstairs with fireplace for our overnight stay. The pool was heated and very clean for a morning swim. A nice continental breakfast to start our day! The room had all the amenities even a robe and slippers to wear to the pool.

Was disappointed that the spa was not hot, pool was warmer, the spa looked cloudy and needed cleaning.

EVERYTHING! The moment I walked into the lobby the lady at the counter was nice and completed the check in process in a timely manner. She also realized I parked in the handicap parking and offered an accessible room. I didn’t even think to ask for one but boy am I glad she did that! Having the accessible room made the stay even that more enjoyable. The room was clean, and comfortable. The jacuzzi was amazing. We will definitely be back. Two things to note: upon arriving and pulling our things out of our car there were some kids skateboarding in the parking structure, which made it super loud and actually hurt the ears and head. Also, whomever was above us was SUPER LOUD WALKERS lol. My guess is there were kids because they jumped A LOT BUT we still enjoyed our stay. So this comment is more for people visiting rather than the hotel. Have some consideration for OTHER guests when you visit hotels. You are not the only ones there!

Hot breakfast like a waffle maker or pancake griddle would be great!

We enjoyed the location of the room, the balcony connected to the room, and both the amazing shower and tub. The room was quiet; letting very little, if any, noise in or out of the room. The water was very quick to heat when needed in the shower, tub and sink.

Not so much as "didn't like" as "things, for the sake of this list, that could be better". The bed (spring bed) was lumpy, firm and made a lot of noise when moving. The toilet paper was quite thin, ran out quickly if not rationed strategically. The bathroom had a tissue box with only 3 tissues, with no spare box. It's the Mariposa Inn and Suites, not The Mark Hotel; I wasn't expecting luxury, I was expecting a great hotel. The cost, in my experience, is well worth the stay
