Excellent ‘new’ hotel in the area. Loved the location. Lots of great restaurants close by. We were given a corner room on the 14th floor facing west. Highly recommend asking for a west facing room. We always love watching the sunset over the bay before going out on the town. Our room was perfectly laid out. There was a temp programmable fridge as well as a coffee/tea maker in a closet unit to the right as you enter. The bathroom was large and had ample counter space and great lighting. The windows were appointed with blackout and white screen rolling blinds that had no light leaks. The bed had a deep featherbed that you sank into. Valet was $50/night. Not bad but we parked in the City Center lot on 14th for $25 a night through their hotel rate online. 2 min walk to the hotel.

The shower, though nice and new, was a little narrow for sharing with your partner. The water refill stations are only on random odd floors only. None are in the lobby.

The room was spacious.

We didn't like that we were charged US$4.95 for ordinary wi-fi (which was stated to be free), when we didn't want and didn't get super-fast wi-fi for streaming (which was chargeable). We didn't do any streaming or anything that needed super-fast wi-fi. When we complained, the young woman at the desk said she'd check with her manager and he'd get back to us. We still haven't heard anything from them. This is a small amount but it still stealing. There's nothing much to do in the district. Lots of closed shops for lease. Luckily we found the gardens at Lake Merritt.

Check in was easy and quick, the room was nice and clean and we were walking distance from a BART station, Chinatown and Lake Merritt. The free breakfast was decent, with several hot and cold options.

The very immediate neighborhood wasn't super nice, but no one bothered us and it was convenient in terms of access to public transit and areas we wanted to visit. The room was slightly on the small side.

Beautiful - the size of the room was stunning and I didn’t order some especially uniquely large suite. So big. Tons of towels. Gorgeous shower and sliding barn bathroom door. Visually clearly upscale. I arrived at 10:15 at night valet and security focused and on point. I felt incredibly safe. I literally stopped the valet a day later and told him what his presence and professionalism meant to me at that late hour. He absolutely deserved the upper level tip I shared.

Love the breakfast selection, very organized and well prepared. The location was perfect in accordance with the venue we were going to be attending. All the staff and guess as well we’re very friendly.

Everything was excellent. The only concern we had was, we could not find a full length mirror. The day we were leaving, we slid the bathroom door shut and volila There was a full length mirror lol

The hotel and the room were incredible, extremely clean, lovely staff and good breakfast.

Location is the only thing, just like everywhere else in SF or Oakland, not safe to walk as it gets dark outside, I was recommended to order taxi from the BART station (9 min walk), but you never know what might happen.

Great clean, quiet, comfortable and cheap option away from the craziness of SF. New hotel with great rooms and a lovely little bar area for snacks/drinks in the evening. Very convenient for the BART, so getting into SF was no problem.

It would be good if the in room coffee could use less single use plastic, but that's about it!

The room was minimalist, clean and bright. Great city view. Loved the room key access to your designated floor. Made me feel safe as a solo female traveler. The continental breakfast was the usual.

The $200 incidental deposit hold. Way too much. Some of the staff were not very "hospitable".

Very modern and clean.

Hotel charges $50 a night for parking. There’s cheaper parking along the street but you have to be careful with break ins. I managed to not have any in my rental.

Front desk was very accommodating as I checked out early in the morning to attend a meeting. The meeting was canceled so I called the front desk asking if I can still use my room since check-out wasn't until three hours later. They reinstated my reservation so I can work out of the room. Thought that gesture was above and beyond.
