The staff is top notch! We arrived the Friday before Christmas at 3 a.m. after an exhausting and frustrating day of travel by plane. We were wiped out when we checked in. Your front desk employee and valet were very helpful and accommodating in helping us to get settled in. I was on the verge of tears when we checked in, and your employees made our check-in so nice. We appreciate the service we received. Our luggage stayed behind, so we had no clothes or toothbrushes. Luckily, we were given robes and toothbrushes, and toothpaste. This may seem like a small thing, but to us, it was a big deal! We love this hotel. The location near the harbor is amazing. The room was nice and comfortable and clean. Room service was excellent. We ordered breakfast in our room and the meal was substantial and delicious. We thank you for employing such great people at your hotel. We loved the on-site restaurant, especially the breakfast buffet. The lobby was beautifully decorated for the Christmas holiday. There's a lovely gift shop/store selling a variety of items which was very nice. We highly recommend this hotel.

Location was great. Facilities clean Got an Ocean and Marina view as requested. Staff very friendly. On site parking which appeared secure. Lobby area very nice. Free water with upgrade . Shower pressure great. Fast elevators! All staff very accommodating and friendly!

Furniture in the room dated and worn. The door closures for bathroom all mismatched and though cute not too practical in middle of the night. For the cost would have liked a little more room for 3 people. If water included then should have been in room each day rather than having to ask. Buffet at SOL restaurant was very expensive. Items were similar to places/hotels where buffet is free.

The hotel facilities were extremely good. The lobby area with bar but also an area to have an office call quietly were very good. I did not use the pool but the gym was okay. The view was nice and Downtown was 20-30 min away. Long Beach as well. Staff was friendly and helped with packing some oversized toy we bought and could not fit in the suitcase. Thank you!!

The coffee is bad but I think this is an American thing. No judgement.

We have stayed at this hotel on two previous occasions so I knew what view I wanted so I booked an ocean sea view room. The room was very large and comfortable and had everything you could need. I would have liked a kettle instead of the coffee machine as the machine was old and tasted of metal. Having a fridge is an added bonus. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom let the room down really as it was quite outdated and dark and just needed a revamp. Every time we ran the sink tap the smell was awful, the hotel did send someone to look and it improved for a day or two only.

The location was excellent (just minutes from the beach), the food in the bar and room service were both very good, the room was spacious and the bed comfortable, the staff were always friendly and accomodating. All in all it was quite simply excellent!

The breakfast buffet in Sol was the only negative, it was overpriced for the mediocre quality of what was provided and nothing was hot (only lukewarm). It was just average at best.

I was attending Beachlife Festival and it was across the street, perfect! Nice big room, on the street side, could not hear the music from the beach at all when I needed rest. The lobby was really animated because of the Festival which was fun. The buffet at Sol was pretty great, lots of options, but not included.

we booked a last minute vacay and this was the only available option with a chance at seeing the ocean from your room. we read reviews and were a little scared about cleanliness, smell, noise, etc. i mean… we were paying plenty for the room but a few reviews were scary! But I have no idea what those reviews were talking about! our room was clean. the room wasn’t dilapidated. the beds were comfy. no loud guests. A/C was fairly quiet. I was gearing the family up to just “put up with the room even though it wasn’t gonna be a great one” but it was just fine! not the fanciest room we have ever been in but it was great. we *DID* pay for the executive room to guarantee 5th floor… don’t know if that made a difference.

needed to drive to get to Hermosa beach vs be within walking distance, but it was just a short drive. of course, sometimes, parking was INSANE in Hermosa (on the weekend, during vb tourney, etc). so I’d say that the main thing we didn’t like was that we needed to drive our car to and from Hermosa. also did not love the $31 nightly self park price. a bit excessive.

Perfect place to stay for the BeachLife Festival! The hotel was lovely and the staff was super helpful for such a busy weekend.

The only downside was that we rented bikes and got stranded in Venice Beach because one broke. The bikes don’t actually belong to the hotel, which we didn’t realize. It was a bit complicated getting it all resolved but the bike owner was really nice and covered all our costs without question.

I spent 10 days with my family in Sonesta. It was one of the best vacation in my life. Would like to thank people at Reception Desk - they were awesome, very friendly and helpful. Hotel location is perfect, best neighbourhood, we had a room with partial ocean and swimming pool view - always opened balcony door at night - air in Redondo is just wonderful. Beds were sooo comfortable. We even had a concert with nice music performed by a very talented musical family our first Sunday. Good tradition. Definitely recommend this hotel to everybody. You'll have lots of fun there! I'd give it 5 stars! They even have a big swimming pool with salty ocean water and nice jacuzzi. I wish they had a spa too! Irina Williams.

Location and hotel was great!

The bill was trumped up with a lot of little resort charges that should have just been included in the price. Also even though I paid for the parking they sent me a text after I paid the bill asking me to pay for the parking!
