We have stayed at this hotel on two previous occasions so I knew what view I wanted so I booked an ocean sea view room. The room was very large and comfortable and had everything you could need. I would have liked a kettle instead of the coffee machine as the machine was old and tasted of metal. Having a fridge is an added bonus. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom let the room down really as it was quite outdated and dark and just needed a revamp. Every time we ran the sink tap the smell was awful, the hotel did send someone to look and it improved for a day or two only.

we booked a last minute vacay and this was the only available option with a chance at seeing the ocean from your room. we read reviews and were a little scared about cleanliness, smell, noise, etc. i mean… we were paying plenty for the room but a few reviews were scary! But I have no idea what those reviews were talking about! our room was clean. the room wasn’t dilapidated. the beds were comfy. no loud guests. A/C was fairly quiet. I was gearing the family up to just “put up with the room even though it wasn’t gonna be a great one” but it was just fine! not the fanciest room we have ever been in but it was great. we *DID* pay for the executive room to guarantee 5th floor… don’t know if that made a difference.

needed to drive to get to Hermosa beach vs be within walking distance, but it was just a short drive. of course, sometimes, parking was INSANE in Hermosa (on the weekend, during vb tourney, etc). so I’d say that the main thing we didn’t like was that we needed to drive our car to and from Hermosa. also did not love the $31 nightly self park price. a bit excessive.

I spent 10 days with my family in Sonesta. It was one of the best vacation in my life. Would like to thank people at Reception Desk - they were awesome, very friendly and helpful. Hotel location is perfect, best neighbourhood, we had a room with partial ocean and swimming pool view - always opened balcony door at night - air in Redondo is just wonderful. Beds were sooo comfortable. We even had a concert with nice music performed by a very talented musical family our first Sunday. Good tradition. Definitely recommend this hotel to everybody. You'll have lots of fun there! I'd give it 5 stars! They even have a big swimming pool with salty ocean water and nice jacuzzi. I wish they had a spa too! Irina Williams.

Location, cleanliness, friendly staff.

Perfect place to stay for the BeachLife Festival! The hotel was lovely and the staff was super helpful for such a busy weekend.

The only downside was that we rented bikes and got stranded in Venice Beach because one broke. The bikes don’t actually belong to the hotel, which we didn’t realize. It was a bit complicated getting it all resolved but the bike owner was really nice and covered all our costs without question.

The lobby, bar and location were great and had a view of Marina and Ocean. Pool was also very nice. Frank whom I believe is a Valet and Rick the bartender were extremely helpful and friendly. Bed was very comfortable. Lobby and bar were beautiful. Having the little gift shop was so great and convenient to have stocked everything you might need.

Bathroom lighting too dim. No microwave in room. Also individual toiletries would have been nice. Daily parking extremely expensive $35.00 per day is over the top.

Love the staff, very friendly. Ive been going to this hotel for years. Enjoying its location and service.

This was a Crowne Plaza hotel that changed to Sonesta hotel lately. Standard of service and facilities decreased however the price increased ( and I’ve been looking for prices for the next year). I understand that covid wasn’t good to the hotels, however I don’t think prices should be that high…

Perfect location, you can walk to the pier/beach, very quiet, friendly personnel, plenty of possibilities close-by for shops and reataurants as PCH1 is a couple minutes away

Never had breakgast there as it was a bit expensive (buffet) and there are so many options around the hotel if you do not want something too big (of if you are in the mood for a big and original breakfast I would recommend the original pancake house on PCH1 9 (try the "dutch baby")

Very friendly staff, very clean and I'm fussy and homely especially bar area. Room was a good size the bar does great small plates for 7 dollars during happy hour. Really enjoyed staying here. Concierge Maria was really upbeat and friendly. .

Restaurant was really expensive for breakfast so we went else where.

Very convenient to the pier in the ocean and many places to eat.

I booked two rooms and our room and our company’s room the bathrooms were not very acceptable, ours had a horrible smell like a trap was left open and our guests the tub did not drain even though they had it fixed the first time but by the time they left it was ankle deep in water again.

Room very clean, comfortable, nice big TV. Beautiful lobby, friendly staff.

Could use more variety regarding movie channels on TV. Jacuzzi closed for Covid. You pay for a full day of valet service, yet in the late evening they are not there, so you have to Self Park anyway. Need to fix that. Self parking a hassle. On checkout, our room card was canceled before we had a chance to leave, so we were stuck inside parking structure, which caused a back up and hassle.
