The building and the rooms kinda looks and smells old, but it’s a well maintained kind of old. The bed is comfortable, they have a nice small fitness center and we particularly loved their jacuzzi. Housekeeping is nice and efficient, we requested for additional pillow and blanket and it was delivered to our room in less than 5mins.

Some of the staff that helps guests during breakfast lack customer service skills. The lady at the front desk when we were checking out is not as nice as the ones who welcomed us. We checked out a day early and we’re not really expecting to be refunded for the extra day that we already paid, this seemed to upset the front desk lady that we did not make any arguments for a refund, by her defensive demeanor she’s trying to antagonize us and seems to be soliciting for a complaint, which she didn’t get and that upset her more.

Very pretty Southern California Mission Style, blooming flowers and well groomed trees. Pool and outside area very welcoming. Charming and old fashioned in some ways. Very comfortable beds and efficient air conditioning. Nice shower heads. The waitstaff are exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is comparable to high end hotels……….omelets and breakfast burritos to order and waffles, muffins, fruit………

There is no elevator which only matters if you are on the second floor.

On my first day there, I discovered that a problem with my room's door prevented it from closing & locking. When Javier, the maintenance technician arrived & evaluated the situation, he realized the repair would take some time. Instead of making me wait, he took me down the hall, told me to pick another available room, got fresh keys from the front desk, & had me squared away in a new room...all in less than 20 minutes. Simply outstanding service.

Best Western needs to invest in facility improvements at this place. The infrastructure is showing its age, including in-room items like lamps & other basic amenities. Biggest problem with the room I stayed in was the lack of clothing storage--there were no dressers in the room, and only two relatively small storage drawers. There's ample space in the room to accommodate a simple dresser with enough storage for a 10-14 day stay (I was there for two weeks).

The breakfast was excellent. They would even make omelets or egg burritos to order.

We had a problem with the door lock the first day. Called maintenance twice. It was not resolved until the desk clerk finally made us a new set of key cards. We could have had a ground floor apartment by the pool but the desk clerk advised that it could get noisy, so we reluctantly took a second-floor apartment instead. But the pool area never seemed noisy during our several days there.

The courtyard and pool are beautiful. The room was big and very clean and we had a good night's sleep. It is a little dated, but they keep it up nicely. There's also a very nice breakfast buffet with custom made breakfast burritos, waffles, eggs (real eggs) and sausage, it was delicious. It was just an overnight stay on a long road trip for us, but I would definitely stay again.

As I said, it was a little dated, but there wasn't anything we "didn't like"

Clean, quiet, comfortable room. Very nice staff. Loved the pool & jacuzzi, and the outdoor seating area. People were outside enjoying the grounds after hours, sitting and talking, kids swimming in the pool. It was really nice, reminded me of vacation days of the past. Great place for a family stay. Even with activity outside, my poolside room was still quiet and I slept great on the super comfy mattress. I really liked the free hot breakfast -- omlettes to order, good side options and really good coffee -- a nice plus to my room stay, much appreciated as most hotels do not offer this option anymore. Hotel is a bit a ways from LAX, but a really nice stay for a reasonable price if you are ok with staying in the area.

No complaints

Breakfast is luxurious. Not only do they serve scrambled eggs, waffles, bacon, potatoes but you can also oder your own creation of burritos and omelette! Selection of fresh fruit, too. We were impressed. Like the pool though it's max 5 feet deep. Not crowded. Towels available. Patio is nice, too. Great if you have a balcony. Very spacious rooms. Loved the beds. Great parking. Quiet. Only five minutes by car to the Reagan Archive and Museum. Even Malibu beach is only 30-40 minutes away. Internet is fast. Fridge is new(ish). Very clean. Great toiletries. Plenty of towels in the bathroom (yay). Very friendly and responsive staff.

Coffee at breakfast is a let-down but the one in the room is ok.

The hotel is beautiful with an "hacienda" feel. We had a room with pool view which had double ceiling height and very big and spacious. It was clean and comfy. Staff were friendly and polite. The breakfast was definitely better than the average and really enjoyed it. Free parking. We also did laudry and was hazzle free.

Everything was great however more pillow selection (soft, medium, hard) could be better.

Front Desk - All staff was exceptional. Minor issues were taken care of immediately and aimed to please & indeed did so. My son had a competition in which Ms. Courtney sent words of encouragement stating the Front Desk was supporting him and cheering his success. "And he indeed won". Breakfast - all staff were pleasant and helpful, and the food & coffee were fantastic. I assisted another guest to find the coffee, and they asked (me) why wasn't the coffee in the room with the food. I personally didn't care; it gave me an opportunity to speak with the front desk. Room - clean up room and those who assisted in inquiries such Javier, Rose and others were extremely helpful and polite. The hotel and landscaping and features are beautiful.

I don't have anything to say about what I didn't like because the likes were over the top.

The best part of this stay was the breakfast! We got omelets and breakfast burritos every day. And they were really good. There was also other hot items. The staff was also very nice.

I like to work out. There were three machines in the exercise room and they all worked. But there were only 25-plus-pound weights. And there was nothing else. No mats. No exercise balls. No dumbells that I could use for my arms. It was clean and the TV worked.
