For medical reasons, it was important for me to have a microwave and freezer in the mini frig--and they did. Very comfortable beds & bedding. They have added a deck by the river so we could enjoy the river without endangering ourselves on the highway bridge. Quiet.

Communications needed some improvements. It is necessary to send customers more detailed info on how to use the door code machine to get in the room. We are not the only ones who had trouble. No employee seems to be onsite; must text, but they were not always available. It is a refurbished old motel so the bathrooms will be small. We needed 2 beds and had 2 queens, but I believe it would be hard to get more than two mature adults in the space comfortably. Light on small mirror by desk was broken, and it was rather dark there.

The processes for reserving and occupying the room were efficient, the room was decently updated/upgraded, and the room felt pretty clean. It was also nice to have some private outdoor space in the back.

The clock on our microwave kept reverting back to "00:00" when the A/C switched on, so there was nowhere one could see the time in the room, which I prefer to be able to do at night. In my mother's room, I tried helping her with the TV remote (as she is an avid viewer), but the remote did not seem to perform in a logical, user-friendly way. Given this, there should either be a change in remotes or instructions provided as to the functionality of the remote.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but as soon as I stepped in the room it smelled clean, looked clean, felt clean. Hit rt away with a sense of cozy warmth. It's pet friendly and they had a basket full of doggie blankets! Cool touch. A pet peeve of mine is so many others have nice tvs and cable access but no guides or instructions on how to use them. Slackwater had a convenient binder with instructions on everything. (It is a contactless setup). Great location in Johnsons Corner just a couple of miles from BV central.

It's contactless and they request you hang Checked out sign on door. I DO NOT appreciate being threatened a $20 charge for not putting the sign on door, essentially getting charged for not doing their job for them. Not cool. 10 AM mandatory check out. I'm used to 11 AM and often request and receive late check out. Made clear that is not an option here.

Loved the room decor and attached patio, warm cozy with a nice TV and coffee maker. Great that they had extra blankets for chilly winter nights and dark towels for washing off makeup and cleaning spills. It's close (walking distance) to Domino's which is the only food available in the area if you are hungry after 8:30pm, as well as a liquor and convenience store but farther from BV proper.

Even though most of the rooms were empty (only 2 other cars when we arrived) we were placed directly between the only other two guests, with the whole other side vacant. Would have preferred a little more privacy, even just one empty room between or on one side. The bedside sconces were barely hanging onto the wall and we were worried about using them for fear of them falling completely off. Water heater and shower pressure was pretty weak as well.

Had a keypad lock that was easy to use. Bed was comfortable. Full size pillows. When you travel a lot those full size pillows mean a lot. Wifi was pretty decent. Had a good selection of channels on the TV as well as being a smart TV so I could log into my accounts. And watch whatever I wanted. Shower was nice and large. Had a mini fridge and microwave as well as a Kierig style coffee maker in the room. Had a nice little outside sitting area. It was 22° so I only went out for a second. Hidden gem.

No hot water at the sink. It was bearly a trickle. The ac/heater had no continuous run cycle so it was loud everytime it kicked on. Being that it was so cold the heater was necessary. The neighbors in the next room were pretty loud a few times. It sounded like they were moving stuff around. Lighting in the room could have been better especially in the desk area.

Location is fine, easy to find

The self-entry door lock is not easy to use. You can barely read the keyboard - its very dim. and no one told us that if we arrived a few minutes prior to 3:00pm, IT WON'T LET YOU IN. We were convinced the thing was broken- fortunately a worker was on site at the time and let us in. We received an email stating how to use the door lock, but it wold have been nice if it had said "it won't work utnil 3:00pm exactly"

Easy access, large clean room, comfortable bed, good communications

Almost missed noticing that the "checked out" tag needs to be hung on door when you leave or you'll get fined $20. The information about that is in a binder that we might not have opened. This needs to be more obvious. Little outside area is nice to have, but with no screen on the door to it, we could not get fresh air once the mosquitoes came out.

Location was great, it was right on the outskirts of town and close to everything. The motel has been updated and was very cute, the bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. I liked the patio out back.

It would have been nice to have a rug inside the door. It was raining when we arrived, so the linoleum floor got wet and full of gravel right away. We borrowed a broom from the housekeeper the next morning. I also was expecting a hair dryer, so I had to go buy one at the grocery store. Other than that, it was a very nice place and would stay again.

Erica provided us with exceptional customer service! We were very well taken care of. Being right on the river was very nice.

A little far from town, and there aren't many options for transportation to and from. Also, the room needed a bit more cleaning - lots of dust on the fan and the AC unit.

Plus the manager is wonderful ....

She has asked booking.com to refund my money when she agreed to cancel by May 26th reservation due to the fact that my photo op. was canceled because Cottonwood pass had not opened yet. I still have not received my refund of $204.08 that she said I would receive. I was there Wednesday night May 25 at $142 cost. But the next night Thursday was $204. Extremely disappointing. This is a lot of money for me especially with nothing in return.
