Clean, convenient, comfortable, and the staff were always helpful with RMNP trail info. We had a ground floor room, very handy for bringing bikes and gear in, and a very handy laundry setup with free laundry soap. There were other free trail mix bars, juices, even hard boiled eggs for frugal hikers at breakfast. It was very quiet. This is a great base for doing a lot of bikes in the national park.

The landscaping needs some attention and there was some construction work being done, but it’s a short season for both repairs and guests at the same time. The fire pit is a bit DIY but still enjoyable. The shower in our spa-jacuzzi room was in the jacuzzi, and the curtain wasn’t as wide as the bath.

Everything - the room was comfortable. The staff friendly and informative. Plenty of space. great facilities in and outsside the room. Really good

Not enough chairs t breakfast - it was a bit ridiculous that a hotel of 40 rooms (assumption) has a breakfast facility with 9 chairs. Definitely needs to be taken care of, but except for that - great experience

I was pleasantly surprised how nice the place was considering I booked it online through a second party. I loved how they offered the free breakfast and the smores by the campfire was a huge hit!!! We went all 3 nights of our stay. Loved our jacuzzi tub in our room!!!

The shower was pretty small. You barely had any room to put soap, shampoo and conditioner etc... The TV "guide" on the T.V. was pretty small to see when sitting on the bed. What would help is a remote/cable service where the remote lights up when pushing the buttons. ( channels, volume etc...) At night it would be much better to see it since the lights are very bright. We didn't want the lights on at night but then you can't see the remote. Might seem silly but it was a pain in the tush when dealing with that. Also, the high window that is at the top of the window that has the drapes and blinds, should have some kind of cover on it because the sun is blinding coming through in the afternoon. We noticed another room had a shade on the top of theirs but we did not.

I loved this hotel! It was so fun to arrive to s’mores out on the deck with a real fire pit! They also had a cute electric s’mores maker inside. The room was really cute and comfortable and they had a huge whirlpool outdoors and an indoor pool. The location was great! It was close to restaurants and to the Rocky Mountain National Park! The staff was amazing! They were both super friendly and helpful! Breakfast was simple but perfect for our needs and they had snack for in between. They also had a large collection of games that you could take with you to your room. This was a great little gem that we will return to next time we want to hike!

I can’t think of anything they could do better. Our stay was a great experience!

Well thought-through clean and cozy rooms, though a little tight on space. We stayed in the one with the hot tub in the bathroom, not in the kitchen. I really liked the presence of the balcony and a small pond in the middle of the location.

The pool was a bit on a cooler side (the pool room was warm and heated though). Besides, it would be nice to have a locally cooked hot breakfast options available. Though a provided breakfast was still reasonably good. It included pre-packed danishes, muffins, fruits, milk, instant cereal, coffee, milk etc. Otherwise a wonderful place to stay!

awesome: charming, well kept inn. bed and bedding was very clean and comfortable. firm bed, but that’s my preference. loved the complimentary s’mores at night by the campfire. check-in staff (wish I got his name) was above and beyond friendly and hospitable. enjoyed the complimentary hot tea in the lobby. fire pits scatted throughout the property.

bad: continental bfast was pretty bad. bagels were rock hard, only fat-free yogurt available which was tasteless (none of us could eat it). lots of packaged unhealthy options. would love to come back, but woujd probably skip the bfast next time.

Spacious for a family, comfortable beds, good size pool, free dvds in the lobby, complimentary snacks & breakfast, friendly desk staff.

It needs some TLC. Back stairs are extremely worn from moisture & at night there are no lights to see going up to your room. They ran a pool vacuum attached to a cord the entire time & that prevents you from swimming freely. Jacuzzi tub had broken knob, bathroom light was out above Jacuzzi. Toaster in room didn't work. Lighting the fireplace seemed like a safety hazzard. Overall it was nice but they need a maintenance staff to check everything over.

Helpful staff at front desk, accommodated our request for an in room jacuzzi and a slightly later check out. We got the Grindle room, which was cozy and comfortable enough for our family of 3, it had Corelle dinnerware and a small sufficient kitchen. Continental breakfast was also good, with many options, and also had to-go bags for hikers. Old fashioned hospitality at Appenzell Inn was a welcome surprise !

Price could have been lower since it was the off season.. Floor boards creaked.. We will stay here again if the prices do not increase too much.

The rooms were clean, cozy and well equipped with dishes, dish soap, towels and toiletries. I loved the fire pits every night with all the smore makings, freshly popped pop corn and dvd's to enjoy in the lobby to the guests every day.

Unfortunately the hot tub was being remodeled during our stay. We were given access to the hotel next door's hot tub but it was very small, out dated and usually full (but we truly appreciated the accomidation). Also we did not have hot water the last day so my shower felt like showering in a river, freezing!!! They did discount us for the inconvenience though because their staff is AMAZING!
