We chose this facility primarily due to location and wanting to travel with a pet. Also, every review that we read was positive. We were not disappointed. It was a great place to stay for all that we needed. We arrived late in the afternoon on Christmas Day, and walked into a warm, cozy cabin. We settled in, and walked over to the hot tub, (which was extremely clean) and took the time to relax after having traveled most of the day! The town itself was charming and friendly, as were the hosts of Columbine Cabins. Any first glance negatives (like the tiny bathroom or hooks to dry our winter clothes) soon became cherished memories that we will hold deep in our hearts for years to come as we look back on a wonderful trip with our adult son. When they say well-stocked kitchen, believe it! Everything that we needed, and more, was right there. We loved our walk through the neighborhood behind the cabins over to the lake, and the market next door was great as well. We would definitely return!
Maybe a few hooks to hang towels or wet winter gear!

Fabulous cabin! We arrived at the earliest check-in time and Gail was gracious and showed us around the place and provided pointers for the town. The bed was comfy, and even the sofa bed seemed comfy. The kitchen had everything necessary for preparing food and cleaning up. We headed to Adams Falls for a lovely hike and had an early dinner in town. Great area. Next time we'll stay longer!
The kids around the campfire were still a bit loud at 10pm. But just as I was about to head out and ask them to be a bit quieter, the heavens opened up and the kids ran off shrieking from the rain.

Such a beautiful little place. Could have easily stayed a week or two. The lady was lovely, showed us around and made us feel so welcome. The cabin had plenty of space, the outdoor hot tub was brilliant, there was a cooker as well as microwave, big fridge and all kitchen equipment needed. Even the sofa beds were comfortable. Brilliant location at the edge of town near the market store, really a great place to stay.

The owner was very friendly. She met us at the cabin and thoroughly explained everything we need to know during our stay. The cabin was very clean and had a full size refrigerator, stove/oven, kitchen, living room and one bedroom. The bed was comfortable. This was close to RMNP entrance where we spent most of our time.
Would have liked a little more counter space as we cooked most of our meals.

Fully stocked kitchen. Just outside of the downtown area so was quiet yet easy walk to town and lake. Owner was very welcoming and accommodating. Hot tub was a plus. Very clean.
Even though it was a "no smoking" cabin, there was definitely a faint lingering cigarette smell. Mattress on bed was acceptable but not particularly comfortable.

Great location to explore RMNP. We rent a two bedroom cabin. The cabin is specious enough. The place is a little time worn but has everything you need, it's clean and the beds are comfortable. There is a mountain market (a super market) just next to the palace. The main street and the lake are not very far away. You can go there by feet.

Location was perfect, the cabin was well-equipped, and the owners were super lovely and also very helpful in suggesting good photo spots for wildlife. Wish we would have stayed longer, but I'll definitely be back!
The only downside is the beds are pretty hard, but that's a small complaint given how great everything else was.

This was a cute, old-school mountain cabin decorated with what appear to be items purchased at a yard sale. So, while not 'top-shelf' it certainly added to the charm/ambiance. Gas fireplace provided lots of heat!
Pots and pans felt a bit... worn. Lighting could be improved with addition of lamps, but that might require more outlets. But, these are minor issues. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

The location was a little farther off of the main strip than others, but the value for the price was awesome! Gail was so friendly and helpful with everything and the amenities on site were great. There was a hot tub, a firepit, and outdoor grills to use on the property.
The cabin was small, but cozy. However, there were hardly any outlets, so we had to take turns charging devices. Also, the airflow through the cabin was not great, so we had multiple fans plugged in using the valuable outlet spaces.

Wonderful hostess, comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, excellent hot water, great parking, wonderful location. I'm grateful that the hostess told me about the timed entry to Rocky Mountain National park. If you aren't aware of that please go on the website for the park. This can greatly affect your plans as you can't just drive into the national park when you want, the park staff are trying to limit traffic. Again thanks to the hostess of Columbine Cabins for alerting me to this.
