The localisation was amazing. The view of our room was great. The breakfast included was tasteful. The towel and water every day were a nice plus.

The breakfast started at 9am (too late). The pool was not calm at all some time. Some staff just don't care.

The location was very good. The included breakfast was good. Daily breakfast coupons are given at checking and breakfast is offered a couple of doors down at the Havana 1957 restaurant. We liked the 2 margarita coupons given at check-in and 2 daily bottles of water.

a. No service to the room until 3rd day. Had to ask for replacement towels and bottles of water. b. No microwave in the room. c. Why doesn’t the hotel have a neon “Penguin” sign like hotels around them? Made the location look sad. d. Staff didn’t talk about parking. There’s a municipal garage on 13th & Collins that offers a daily rate of $20 from 15 - 24 hours. Rate is $2 per hour for less than 15 hours.

The location is on the pedestrian portion of Ocean Blvd. There is a LOT of people watching from the front porch. The restaurant they use for drinks and breakfast is really good. The classic margarita is excellent - and that says a lot from a margarita enthusiast! The room was a bit tight - but very workable. Ronald, the clerk that checked us out and held our luggage while we walked around after checking out was FANTASTIC. he has a great attitude, makes eye contact with a smile and was friendly.

The guy that checked us in was terrible. He walked up to the computer and did not make eye contact. He mumbled and was generally unfriendly and seemed that he would rather be doing whatever in his phone. I asked him for eye contact so that we might understand him better. He told me I was bizarre. After that, he opened his eyes very wide and spoke to me one word at a time. We almost left because of his rude character. Luckily, we had a fantastic experience with Ronald.

We wanted to stay close to the beach and we found this place that we can just walk to the beach and restaurants. The price is great. Right in the area we wanted to stay. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast was excellent plus they offered welcome drinks.

We had to park our car in the municipal garage two blocks away. We had to carry our bags and walk to the hotel. There is no parking lot at the hotel, same to all hotels in the area. But the municipal garage price for parking over night wasn't that bad. It was fair price.

The. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast is served 2 doors down and was tasty. The pool is on top of a hotel behind and the sunbeds comfortable. The room was clean and bed comfortable. The beach is huge and not over crowded.

The resort fee is for the pool The pool guy doesn't collect cushions on the beds so when it rains (this time of year it can pour for 10 mins hard then stop) so they were often wet . there are no beds on beach provided and it costs £50 for cheapest 2 beds and brolly.,the first one we asked cost £400 🙄

The location of the hotel is excellent. Just on the south beach. The room was of good size and clean. The breakfast was in a nearby restaurant .Although it is not a buffet but an American breakfast but it was excellent. Staff is very polite and helpful.

There is no kitchen in the hotel. You don't get even hot water to make morning tea . The breakfast also starts at 9.00 am so you are stuck till late morning and can't go anywhere. They had given us room at 4.45pm. It was too late . The toilet size is also small.

The location was great!! Our room was cozy but the beds were comfortable and hotel was quiet. Location was convenient for access to the beach as well as restaurants and shopping. The staff was attentive and courteous. We received our drink and breakfast vouchers at check-in and were pleasantly surprised with quality of our breakfast at Havana 1957. The restaurant is conveniently located two doors down with a cool atmosphere and attentive staff. Would definitely stay at this hotel again!

The only complaint that is not the fault of the hotel is the closure of Ocean Drive. Valet was great but it’s inconvenient to get to the Penguin Hotel with all our luggage from the President Hotel. However, the staff makes it simple with key codes for doors and valet is quick which more than makes up for any inconvenience.

The little boutique hotel is perfectly adorable! Super close to the beach and walkable to everything you need! Very friendly staff!

This is not a deluxe experience, but it had all that we needed and we loved our stay! The mattresses could use an update, it would be nice to have a few more hooks to hang towels and bathing suits and a coffee pot in the room, but we still love this place!
