I stayed at this accommodation over New Years and loved everything about it. My room was beautifully decorated, spacious, quiet, and clean, with a balcony that overlooked the Indian River. Easy access, free parking. Take advantage of the location and walk to the River Park Terrace for a delicious meal, drive no more than 10 minutes to reach New Smyrna Beach, shops and restaurants, 15 minutes to Canaveral National Seashore Visitors Center, 45 mins to Merritt Wildlife Refuge, and about an hour to Kennedy Space Center. Highly recommend.

The room rate was pricey, but definite value for money. I wish I could have stayed longer!

This is a beautiful small hotel. The room and bathroom were so beautiful. The balcony was really spacious. We could bike everywhere. It is away from the beach scene but close to the more interesting things for us, like the museum, Canal St., restaurants, etc. I would love to go back. We had our bikes and it was fun to bike through the lovely neighborhood. The breakfasts were great, and plentiful! You could have it delivered to your room or eat in the pretty kitchen/bar area.

Very nice boutique hotel at good location with view to the water. Interior design and build is special and the standard hotel - which I found really interesting. Liked the breakfast freshly cooked at the open kitchen in the morning. Very helful and friendly staff. Free parking available as well. Pictures on booking are acurate!

As this is a older building there is no escalator to the first floor rooms.

The breakfast was very good. Every day was better than the last day. I could have had seconds of every breakfast. The cooks were very friendly while cooking breakfast. They also gave us different locations for dinner.

A swimming pool would be nice to relax at every day. The beach was a short distance away. This is not a complaint just thinking out loud. The staff was very kind and helpful. I definitely would visit again.

The Spanish Style Villa overlooking the Indian River is charmng and the staff was really nice, preparing breakfast and handing out some local tips. A nice little Patio in the back and lots of charm in general.

The decor was not really to my taste, bulky big lamps that did not really work and strange objects.

The breakfast was delicious and delivered directly to our room at the time promised at check in. The staff was very friendly and the room was huge!! There were two balconies you could use attached to the room. I’m usually not big on staying at a Bed and Breakfast but you gotta try this place!!

With the hurricane coming in on our 25th Anniversary we were going to cancel but we are so glad we didn't! Breakfast was delivered to our room which was very delicious. The owners invited us to have dinner with their family day of the storm and when we checked out the dolphins were playing right in front of us as we pulled out of the driveway as if they were saying goodbye. The Black Dolphin Inn went above and beyond our expectations and the place is gorgeous!! Highly recommend! New Smyrna Beach will be our 2nd home now....we love the whole town!

Located right on the Indian River Lagoon, the setting is exquisite. The building itself is enchanting and we adored our experience from start to finish. Brett was so friendly and we appreciated the attention paid to our experience as a whole. The room was beautiful and so comfortable. Bath robes are a nice touch. The night manager Jennifer and her cat were so friendly also. We felt that anything we needed was right within reach. From the 24 hr customer assistance to the bar area this place has you covered. The private dock overlooking the lagoon was amazing. We had our breakfast on the dock and were able to see the dolphins. Brett gave us a guide to New Smyrna beach which was helpful also. We had a wonderful stay and have already reserved our spot for next year!

We are vegetarians and we loved the yogurt and fruit for breakfast. The only other breakfast option that day had sausage in it. We do eat eggs, so some option like eggs and toast or French toast would have been ideal, but the breakfast we had was very good! We appreciated the coffee and tea bar.

The room was huge, had 2 balconies, and was super quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful with different delicious specials each day — the best of any B&B we’ve stayed at. The inn and grounds and view all exceeded expectations. They even served wine and had beer on tap.

Everything was top notch, except the toilet paper. Odd choice to save a few dollars. Also, our room was on the third floor and could only be accessed by using an outside staircase to the second floor and then very steep stairs for the next two levels. If one has knee issues, back issues or just advanced age issues don't book the top floor (or if it is stormy weather).
