It was a girl's birthday trip. We enjoyed the beautiful Resort. We walked the trails and visited the Beach, the Butterfly house, the Chapel, and the Discovery center. Our thanks to Marjorie Kendricks (concierge) for making our stay even better.

It seems all activities come to an end by 6pm. It would be nice to have adult activites/entertainment in the evening. Suggestions: A small band performing in the amphitheatre or in the Piedmont room. This is minor but no place/hooks to hang your shower cap, travel bag, or robe in the bathroom. Would like to be able to purchase meal packages, eventhough you may have booked your reservation elsewhere.

My family has gone to Callaway for nearly 30 years. First time staying in Lodge! Surprised how everything around beach, minus the beach activities shop, were closed on. Saturday! Sad! We then went up to Rockin Robins…closed! Seemed like a ghost town around the cottages! The lakes were drained but think you are working on that! Restaurant on Lake Course, hole number 10…closed! New Signage around grounds looked great but just shocked how many things were closed over a weekend. Would love to come back but wondering now if it’s worth the price you pay at the Lodge. Was given a brochure of what was going on in Callaway but when you walk around all was closed!

The lodge has a rustic, earthy, and warm atmosphere. Staff was super kind and helpful. Dining is convenient, right inside the lodge and great service from the waiters. The weekend breakfast and dinner buffet was great. Really enjoyed Robin Lake. I like that the shower and bath are completely separated. Very deep tub and water ran very hot, for a relaxing bath. Ample parking. Overall, a very extraordinary experience.

Elevator was a little slow. Some dinner entrees were overpriced and had a lackluster taste. Need more menu options for vegans and non swine eaters, especially the breakfast, which had only pork options. The line for made to order food such as omelets and all was too long at times. There should be more than one person taking and making those orders.

This was the perfect quick Spring Break getaway for me and my little ones. The rooms were really clean and comfortable, staff were nice, knowledgeable and eager to assist, the property of beautiful. We were only there one night but got the chance to enjoy the lake/beach on the day of arrival which was perfect for two 8 year olds and on our departure we were able to enjoy the Butterfly Garden. Food at the on site restaurants was also pretty good.

The late check-in which is 4 o'clock. By that time, most of the attractions (other than the lake/beach) are closing up so you can't really enjoy those the day of arrival. I also wish there was a microwave in the room but there was one conveniently located to accommodate the entire floor so that wasn't so bad. All in all great experience!!!

I stayed at the hotel, as it was close walking distance to the start of the marathon in which I was running at Callaway Gardens. It was very convenient and comfortable.

I had requested a noon checkout so that I would have time to shower following the marathon...but the evening check'-in clerk denied the request. Fortunately. I ran a fast race and rushed back to the room to shower without the need for a time extension...but under the circumstances I felt it was poor customer service to deny the 1-hour extension.

Room was very comfortable. Meals, buffets were good. Bed was comfortable, but pillows were too "puffy" and hard to sleep on. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Only real complaint was the resort map. We were not the only ones getting lost out there. Not all roads mentioned on map were marked with road signs. Birds of Prey exhibition was great. Butterfly display was great. Chapel site was beautiful. Walking trails and bike trails need to be more clearly marked in other areas though.

.Good family break. Trey was exceptional in the restaurant. Staff all friendly.

Had to ask for coffee every day. Coffee, tissue and beds were never attended to. I had to go to front desk several times for them. Towels were changed and trash emptied. .but nothing more...that was disappointing. No activities except at weekends. Rained a lot so was difficult to walk or go to beach....would have been nice to have some activity at the hotel.

Staff: cleaners, servers, valets, and lifeguards were very friendly, helpful and responsible. Food was good. Great places for children to play. We loved the circus and butterflies. Men loved the golf.

Please have a full length mirror in every room. Shrimp and grits were not very flavorful. First room #8415 had a wobbly toilet. Please don't assign any rooms in disrepair. Would love to see a Michelin star type chef advance the quality and flavor of food.

The food in the Piedmont was well prepared. Service was excellent just felt the buffet was a little pricey plus when looking at the buffet it was very attractive or appealing to eat. Overall, great team, well prepared, seasoned food and great desert.

Restaurant was a little too cold but was comfortable. I had to wait a little bit longer than I liked for dessert particlularly when I asked for it to go. Great experience. Thanks

Great views from lake side balcony room! Very relaxing and peaceful.Just what my wife and I needed! Friendly staff, always welcomed with a smile and very helpful. My wife and I are already making plans for our next trip! Tip: The entrance to the hotel from the road will have a large sign the only says Callaway Gardens not Callaway Resort & Gardens. Tip: A microwave is next to the ice and vending machines.

A few things are closed. Now we know that you have to go before Labor Day weekend because that's when the beach, paddle boats and some shops are closed .If you prefer less people then after Labor Day is a great time to go.
