We found the Sylvan Valley Lodge by accident, searching for Air BnB's in the Helen area. Due to the recent increase in cost for Air Bnb's, we had to seek other options. We are so glad we found the Sylvan Valley Lodge. Nestled in the forest, right off a sleepy highway, a few minutes from downtown Helen, the Sylvan Valley Lodge is the perfect place to escape the city life and enjoy some time in nature, while still being close enough to take advantage of everything Helen has to offer. The room was clean and comfortable, the surrounding grounds are absolutely gorgeous. The complimentary wine tasting was a great time. Scott, the bartender, was absolutely lovely and the wine was great. There is a little restaurant attached to the bar, while we did not try any of the food, other guests said great things. Free coffee and snacks was also extremely welcome as we were running all around the area and didn't have time to grab breakfast. We are so glad we found the Sylvan Valley Lodge and intend on returning soon.

We didn’t eat there cook to order breakfast or dinners during this visit. However, I’m the common family area upstairs, there is a free concession station filled with muffins ( chocolate, blueberry, and banana nut), kurig style coffees and teas, water, yogurts, and granola style bars. The free concession area goes quick and it only gets filled once a day.
The lounge closes very early. 9pm to be exact. It would be nice if the lodge kept the lounge area unlocked for guests with a beer/wine, soft drinks, water and food vending area to accommodate the night owls. Having a self serve “Pay for” option is better than nothing at all.

The lodge is adorable! My partner and I booked a room to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and will definitely be returning in the future. We booked a king room with a spa tub, which they even provided bath salts for. Room was spacious, clean, the bed and pillows were comfy and they even had a fuzzy blanket. The staff member running the bar for the wine tasting was incredibly nice and she was helpful not only in trying the wines but also in giving us recommendations of what to do in the surrounding area. The lodge is only a short distance to Helen of Nacoochee village while still feeling like a tucked away hidden gem. We absolutely recommend this location of couples or other adults looking for a scenic getaway in the area!
The only issue we had was finding the entrance as it sneaks up on you a bit and the tv would not turn on (we didn’t try super hard so it might have been user error).

They provided gourmet coffees, teas, yogurt, and breakfast grab & go goodies, along with popcorn, & a cooler of spring water & bottled waters. The location was so beautiful and serene, with a wonderful deck overlooking their lovely patio gardens..& a stunning view of the Blue Ridge Mtns. The staff; Charlie, DeAnna, Brandi, Lucy, & Julie were super kind & attentive at all times!😍
To stay even longer, would have made it even better!😂👍🏻

nice location, right outside of Helen. I loved the ambiance in the tasting room, and the upstairs lounge area. I also liked our room, the bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi worked nicely
There wasn’t any dinner offered there when we went. and the breakfast they offer for $12 is not that good, plus I personally didn’t like how we had to make reservations for breakfast the morning before. it is one piece of toast, eggs, and two pieces of bacon… I feel like that could be done from 8-11 on a walk in basis.

It was very comfortable and very clean. The cleaning lady that we met was very helpful. The area was beautiful.
We had a hard time finding our room. We walked in and the sign said room 11 thru 18. We were room 19, so we wandered around trying to find another building with room 19. My husband finally went back to the original building and walked up the stairs, passed room 18 and room 19 WAS there.

Sylvan Valley is a great place to just and rest and relax. It was impeccably clean and decorated with unique items that made it more like a hotel room situated among the trees.
The cabin is located on the side of a hill. It was difficult to get to the door. A handrail needs to be installed.

Everything. We came out for our 15 year anniversary and we are so happy we did! The lodge and the room was AMAZING! It’s secluded in the mountain, but close to everything you want to do. The balcony and the view is great! We did the wine tasting and ended up buying 4 bottles! Breakfast we delicious! The staff was absolutely amazing very friendly and knowledgeable. We got current up to date information at all times regarding our room and entertainment.
Nothing! We absolutely loved our trip and stay!

We did the wine tasting with AJ he was super knowledgeable about the wine and the wine processing. We also ordered the cheese board which was very tasty The bed was super comfortable other than the pillows. The bathroom had shampoo and conditioner from bath and body works. I thought that was really nice.
We did not like the pillows. Need kingsize ones. They were too small. The room was advertised for complimentary breakfast but we were charged. The food was very good.

Our host (Charlie) wonderful. She made plenty of time to answer all of our questions as we never visited Helen, GA. before. Very good person.
Room could use more lighting.
