- excellent location / close to major freeway - amidst greenery - spacious room and bathroom - excellent fully functional kitchen (microwave, induction cooktop, utensils, mini fridge etc) - big comfy beds - tv unit with Roku etc - spacious parking - outdoor dinner table with grill - essential stores (foodland etc) nearly - walking distance - excellent front desk staff (the general manager drove at 8.30pm / after hours to hand over the key since we got locked out; handed out ample toiletries whenever asked) - bar stools for morning coffee and breakfast - sofas in rooms resting - *** best of all *** gave us free “aloha” coffee mugs as thank you
- one of our beds was queen size and very uncomfortable - saw lizard and bug (only once) - maybe it’s expected since it’s a county side lodge - bathroom door lock wasn’t working even after locking from inside - dishwasher wasn’t working - major letdown since we had to wash our dishes :(. I was informed about this when inquired over phone - room service every 3 days (probably a post Covid policy everywhere!)

It is a lodge/motel, located at an altitude of 800 meters, if i remember correctly. The rooms are very large and really well furnished. My wife and I have dined several times at the house, using the room's kitchen: great experience. I probably had the best sleep in Hawaii on those beds, also thanks to the the fact that in the evening/night in Waimea it gets chillier.

We were worried as earlier reviews were pretty poor but accommodations are limited in Waimea and we went on short notice. BUT ignore earlier reviews as the lodge appears to be under new ownership/management and we were pleased with our stay. Great location in downtown Waimea. The entire property appears to have been upgraded. The exterior was well cared for. The staff was very welcoming and check in a breeze. After reading earlier reviews we cautiously opened the door to our room and were pleasantly surprised by the size and cleanliness-pleased with the coffee maker and small refrigerator. The room was quiet and we slept well. We were there on a weekend and a wonderful Farmers Market was just next door where we purchased coffee, fresh baked goodies, lovely veg and fruit including some to take home. All in all a great stay and we will return our next visit to Waimea.
Mattress had a squeak but wasn’t a problem for us and we slept well.

Our room was very spacious and felt more like a home than just a hotel room. Loved the cozy blankets, the kitchen counter with stools, the shoe rack and a nice place to hang clothing. The kitchenette was outfitted with everything we needed. Plenty of power outlets for charging. The ceiling fan was just right. Very well situated in town -- close to everything! We appreciated the recommendation of Ippy's for dinner. Food was delicious and very affordable!
Everything was so lovely! Maybe the roosters greeting the sun? But that's just part of Hawaiian ambiance!

The personnel was friendly and responsive. All was nice and clean in the room and on the territory. The kitchenette was handy to have. (We did use it, including ricemaker.) The location within the town and the area was quite optimal. It is a good location if you want to explore this part of the Island (with places like Pololu Valley, formerly accessible Waipio Valley, birthplace of King Kamehameha, and other cultural heritage places). The cancellation policy was very good.
It was more expensive than my other bookings over the Island. Also, it is a small roadside hotel, which is better than a huge soulless multistore structure, but not an individual house or lodge. (I am okay with this, it is just not my preferred option.)

There’s no breakfast included with the room, and I didn’t expect it as it was noted in the booking confirmation. What was really great was that the staff phoned me on January 17 to ask why I hadn’t arrived. It was because I mistakenly made the original reservation for January 17-18, when the dates were actually January 18-19. The local staff worked with me and got us a lovely room for January 18-19 and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
There was nothing that we didn’t like. I have nothing but praise for the Lodge and its local staff.

Great value for the money. Spacious, clean, room and bathroom with chill staff. This lodging is significantly cheaper than other options. The central location in Waimea town is unbeatable.
My complaints are that isn't a fan in the room. This is a little inconvenient for a room with no AC. My room was next to a neighboring dumpster and the refuse truck made a lot of banging noise around 4 AM on a Thursday. Windows have to stay open to permit airflow. This is both good and bad. Good for that fresh mountain air but bad because there's some noises out there. One night the coquí frogs were going beserko, the next night they were silent likely due to the weather. I would certainly stay there again given the price and central location in Waimea town.

Room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Centrally located in Waimea town and easy access to shops, restaurants and the farmers market located next door. Plenty of parking and great facilities to have your own BBQ. The wifi worked really well and shower pressure was great.
We didn't like the fact that we were located below the 2 storey part of the building. We heard nonstop foot traffic from the room above us for the first 2 nights which didn't allow for a comfortable sleep.

This hotel was one of our favorites on the island. It is in a quiet location and within walking distance to stores and a great park with a playground. We had a beautiful view of the countryside and chickens from one of our windows (we had 3 windows in our room!). The shower is nice and the staff is very friendly. There is a picnic area on site.
The floor and walls are thin so we could hear the other guests (and we worried that we were disturbing other guests too). There were some friendly insect critters in the room.

A nice and functional motel in the center of Waimea. The room was big, high an comfortable. As was the bed. Definitely an over average place to stay. My room was clean and tidy. I had a more or less full kitchen (as I understand this differs from room to room), including a nice fridge. The washroom is quite spacious as is the shower. I arrived after the office hours. I was provided with all necessary information to get the key and to find the room. The official checkin on the next morning went smooth. The staff was friendly. As a plus, the main shoppingcenter is a two minutes walk. It take you less tome to walk there than to drive there.
Do not expect a high end accommodation, but a nice and functional motel in the center of the city.
