It was a very beautiful bed & breakfast — it was the first time I stayed at a B&B & I was not disappointed. The elegance & deco was beautiful. The breakfast was great and the owner was very accommodating. It was very close to everything & even the outside was beautifully landscaped with a gazebo & swing & fire pit for a cold night. The rooms were very well stocked with coffee maker & fridge which was stocked with water & pop. Everyday our room was tided up with fresh towels & the garbage was emptied. Everyday we ate breakfast on different china which was set up so formally. We felt like we went back into the olden era. Just magnificent — would highly recommend to anyone — I give it a ***** 5 star rating.

The The Cloran Mansion Bed & Breakfast is truly a remarkable destination for a romantic getaway. It has a wonderful ambience that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. The sleeping quarters were exceptionally clean and the beds so comfortable I slept through the night with ease. The Innkeeper, Paul, is very friendly and accommodating with extensive knowledge of the area to recommend a wonderful experience for the occasion you are visiting. The dining room/breakfast room is very elegant with a hearty breakfast served hot with other guests of the mansion. It was a very brilliant atmosphere that opened way for warm conversation. Don't forget to check out the video library for guests, which was quite extensive, and open all night for travelers. The walls in the Antonio suite were a little thin. Sometimes a loud truck was heard through them. There is also no common living area in the Bed & Breakfast to mingle with other guest besides breakfast and dinner, which can also be a good thing for a private experience.

The muti course breakfast was elegant, tasty and plentiful. The fresh fruit with cream was a wonderful touch. Paul, our host, was congenial and efficient. He was more than happy to answer all our questions about the area. The room was well apportioned and exceptionally clean. Be prepared to navigate some steps, otherwise the setup is perfect.

Just be aware that most tubs are deep jacuzzies, so if you have mobility issues, ask for the availability of a walk in shower.

I liked the proximity to Main Street, the breakfast, and the service provided from the innkeeper.

The room we stayed in, Ann's room, sometimes would get cold. There is a heat blowing fireplace and a space heater, we were using the fireplace - but we should have used the space heater. The blanket that was provided was very warm thankfully.

I'm not sure what I liked best the beautiful setting and grounds or the inside which was true to the history of Galena yet fresh as a new home. Our hosts were informative, thoughtful and provided everything you could hope for in your stay. Don't miss the breakfast!!!!! We have been coming to Galena for nearly 40 years and this was simply the best experience we have ever entertained.

Our stay at the Cloran was wonderful. Paul was there to welcome us, give us a tour of the B & B, then show us to our room. A small beautiful birthday cake was waiting on a table inside. Such a kind touch, The breakfast was exceptionally delicious and served beautifully!

We liked basically everything. The rooms were clean and cozy, the one we picked fit our style and expectations. My wife loved the fireplace she could control with a remote. Coffee in the common room was great. The breakfast was exceptional, all you could want pertaining to variety, and all presented and prepared to make you fell very important. The option to have a fire in the fire pit was nice. The Gazebo was very nice as well, and the ash tray was a big surprise (I smoke).

I'm not a complainer, So honestly there wasn't anything for me to say I didn't like. However, I did find it interesting that they don't have a nice sign near the entrance, I feel that would be a nice touch for them as a business as well as guests who are approaching the entrance for the first time. My wife said the towels and robes in our room smelled like bacon. ( no complaints from me )

Our tower room suite with the whirlpool tub was very unique, we loved it. Breakfast was the highlight. Gathering with the other guests at a large, beautifully set table and being served a delicious home cooked meal was wonderful.

The only issue we had was the room temperature, we couldn't figure out how to turn the temp down, but we also didn't reach out to ask so that's on us.

Everything was exceptional. We had a few requests, which were responded to immediately. Breakfast was fantastic, and enough offered, more than enough. Hosts were awesome and would definitely return.

Our stay at the Cloran was a gift to ourselves for our 50th anniversary. When we arrived at our room there was a beautifully decorated cake that made us feel special. The breakfast was fantastic, as was the host.
