This hotel has a kind and accommodating staff and is conveniently located. It is very clean and comfortable and is one of the only pet-friendly hotels in the area. I would stay again without hesitation. It's fairly priced when compared to hotels in the region.
The breakfast is sorely lacking and there isn't much so far as nearby dining options, but the latter is certainly not their fault.

My son loved the cat & the nice lady ( clerk ) who gave him candy. Room was great; comfortable, clean, spacious, & wifi worked well. My son also appreciated the fruit loops at breakfast and fountain in the lobby. We will be back the next time we make the long drive to grandpa's.

We stayed here as an overnight stop on our road trip from Chicago to Memphis. It was really good. Staff were great. It was very comfortable, modern, clean and great value. The breakfast was good. Has lots of choice.

I especially liked the very friendly front desk clerks and the free WiFi. I liked the excellent toiletries dispenser and complimentary breakfast. I also appreciated the comfortable bed and pillows.
I did not like the musty smell throughout the room, the lack of secure plug receptacles, and the broken desk chair. Most of all, I did not like the lack of cell phone service.

The location was perfect for our reason for staying. Breakfast was ok, the waffle machine was not there on this stay and it was hard for the staff to keep up with the sausage, but I would definitely stay again.

The people who work there are always super nice and helpful. The rooms and always super clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

The last at the front desk was very sweet and helpful. It was a little older but it had been updated and it was clean. They had a good breakfast.
Our room smelled like cigarette and a little musty. They told us they mostly have fishermen and hunters stay there.

Nice, quiet room and super comfortable bed. Very helpful staff who went out of the way to help switch TV channel from Spanish back to English, and helped with restaurant selection.
Breakfast was basic - nothing special.

location, friendliness of staff, breakfast, parking, proximity to interstate and lake, breakfast hours started at 5AM to allow guests to go fishing or get an early start to the day.
Room had curtains that had two big tears. Bathroom was very clean. It had had shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispenser attached at shoulder height level to the wall which was convenient for people who take showers, but not reachable for people who take a bath.

We liked the quiet location near Rend Lake and away from the busy area of Mt. Vernon. the place was quiet and clean and the staff was friendly.
I couldn’t find a USB port anywhere in the room. The pillows were a a bit firm for me, but I still slept well.
