The location was great! Within walking distance to the Capitol, shops, restaurants and breweries. Great location to access things around Des Moines. It was nice having the full size refrigerator and kitchen amenities in the room.

Parking was a little confusing at first as it is a shared lot with the apartments next door, but if you were able to get lower level parking next to the hotel entrance it was not too bad.

Breakfast and location were great. Staff was great.

The power and the volume on the TV in our room could not be controlled by the remote. There was even a sign on the TV that said you had to use the buttons on the back of the TV for power and sound. Then the buttons did not even have one for power. One was for standby, which turned out to be the power button. This may date me, but I felt like I was back in high school in my parents house having to constantly walk back-and-forth to the TV to adjust the sound and mute. Ridiculous in today’s world.

Breakfast was one of the best we've had in any hotel where we've stayed. Lots of variety and very tasty! The workout room included free weights as well as cardio machines. Easy walking distance – and a very pleasant walk – to see an Iowa Cubs game!

The zero-entry shower was spacious and comfortable, but it didn't contain the water inside the stall. We ended up with a huge puddle on the bathroom floor after each shower. Also, there weren't enough towels in the room for the number of people registered to our room.

Breakfast was amazing. We loved all the different choices. The location was perfect for being at the baseball game late. The key card access up the elevators made it feel safer, so it was like anyone could sneak in the back door and come up the elevator with no one seeing them. My oldest child is lifting for sports so the weight room was a bonus for him to still get his workout in....good equipment. Loved the on-site laundry too and the parking garage! Suites were very roomy. Loved the bigger kitchen area.

The hot tub was closed. I didnt ask why but it was a bummer.

Staff was amazing! The amenities were amazing! We were going to Junior Olympics from STL. When we arrived, there was a customer who was still in the room assigned to us.They told us the issue, accommodated us, and gave us a credit for the inconvenience. When we got upstairs, the room were clean, beautiful, and comfortable.

I don't have anything I didn't like.

The combination hot/cold breakfast was really nice, and there was a great variety to choose from. Clean buffet and tables....kudos to your attendant, who was there keeping things neat in a quiet way. The bed was comfortable, kitchenette handy, bathroom and roll-in shower was amazing.

You cannot help this, but free parking would have been nice. We knew up front it would cost, though. Once in the ramp, though, we were confused as to where to park. We had trouble getting from the parking ramp to the hotel, and we noticed that others had similar experience. Since we had to walk outdoors, we were lucky it wasn't rainy, and grateful we did not handicapped accessibility. Perhaps a little card or slip of paper with directions from ramp to hotel floor given to us after we checked in would have helped us immensely! Just a suggestion. Other than that, we were VERY pleased with our stay!! Thanks for the great time we had!

There was so much we liked! The room was very clean (although SMALL), the breakfast was AMAZING, the elevator was fast, they had carts when we needed them (to move all of our stuff to/from the car), the staff was always friendly and professional and helpful!

just the size of the king suite that was handicapped. But it's probably partially my own fault for asking to check in early and it was available.

All of the above. Guy at the desk was super nice and helpful. The little breakfast burrito was good. The fitness center was perfect. Location was ok also. No crazy plug in or fabreeze smells (highly scent sensitive)

I heard people asking for milk at breakfast and there wasn’t any only soy milk. I like oatmilk myself but did not expect it. I don’t seem to like to pay extra for parking, but I did. Extra things /add ins bother me. Just give me the whole price and then I can decide how to proceed but I imagine every place needs to do the same for it to make sense. It is always a pleasant surprise when I don’t need to pay for parking and then my mind remembers as a good thing instead of “oh yeah that place was nice but had to pay for parking” hahahaha
