The location of the room was in walking distance to everything in the French Quarter which was perfect. The hotel was aged but had a cozy comfortable feel. The courtyard was beautiful and relaxing. We had three room reservations with ten total people and this hotel was very accommodating to all of us.
There wasn't much not to like, other than the lock on our room door was hard to open with the keys, which each of our 3 rooms had four keys each. Two for the deadbolt and two for the lock set. It was cumbersome to keep track of separate keys and carry them on you.

My recent stay at this enchanting hotel was truly unforgettable! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort happiness. Their incredible kindness and helpfulness made me feel right at home. Whether it was providing local recommendations or simply offering a warm smile, the team here is truly exceptional. The property itself is an absolute gem, exuding charm and character at every corner. The quaint architecture and beautiful decor capture the essence of the French Quarter perfectly. Not to mention, the rooms are absolutely adorable! Each room is thoughtfully designed with lovely touches that create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. And the location – wow! Nestled in the heart of the French Quarter, this hotel is perfectly situated for exploring all the vibrant sights and sounds that this historic area has to offer. From lively street performances to mouth-watering cuisine, everything is just a short stroll away. All in all, this hotel provided an amazing experience that combined top-notch hospitality, charming accommodations, and an unbeatable location. I can’t wait to return!

We loved the location and the staff there. Adam is wonderful; he's very friendly, informative and helpful. He steered us to great restaurants and his advice was spot-on. Carla took care of any extra needs for the room and is such a sweetheart. They took great care of us and made us feel like family.
The only thing I really didn't like was leaving. But for other travelers I would just say to be aware that this is an old building so the room size and layout is not going to be like a modern hotel. There is no elevator, for one thing and the room we had with a king bed didn't have much room for anything else. But you aren't staying in the French Quarter to sit in your hotel room, are you? Get out and explore this wonderful place!

We loved the history of the property and although it is old, it was clean.
3 staff members were exceptional. Luis, Adel and Chris were awesome. Ian needs training in customer service and how to treat guests. There were guests smoking an illegal substance in the room next to ours. The smell was strong and horrible. I don’t care if people smoke but when it affects me and my friends, it’s a problem. Ian did not want to help us with this. He told us to buy incense. We went to Adel the next day and he took care of the problem immediately. He was so nice to us. Chris was super nice the next day and made us feel valued.

Location and staff were simply wonderful!! Steven our concierge was a true gem!! The desk staff was very knowledgeable and so proud of their city.. And it showed. Asked them for a place to dine and they delivered nightly. An activity.. Bam!! Great krewe!! The spirits were a bonus.. The stories are very real. Spirits exist here. Voices, rearranging of items in the room, and nightly child laughing in the courtyard were welcome after a couple nights.
Cleaning crew third rate. Need to hire a crew with attention to detail.. Or just common cleaning pride in their work. Uncleaned dust and unwiped paint chips everywhere that looked uncleaned for weeks.

The Location is perfect to experience the French Quarter. Took Ghost tour and was surprised to find that it was part of the tour. Interesting history.
Our room had been abused by previous partiers. Chandlier was bent and connection to ceiling was damaged. Looked like someone had been swinging on it. Bathroom fixtures were loose and shower rod was bent down. I had to straighten it so curtain would stay in place. The room on advertisement was in perfect shape. Very Noisy. Our room was on ground floor which probably contributed to noise. Zero sound insulation. No elevator if you have room on second floor. Car is held captive 3 miles away, so you are not able to access it once you check in. I payed over $50 per day and it is in outside parking lot.

Location was fantastic - walking distance to nearly all major tourist attractions, great food, and Royal is a much nicer street to stay on in the Quarter than Bourbon. We had a courtyard room on the main level, so no stairs required. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and also present at the front desk 24/7, which is nice. There was also an adorable courtyard cat.
The room could have been cleaner (we all noticed some crumbs, etc. in both beds and stains on sheets/towels, etc). Even after our towels were refreshed, the new ones were stained (though they seemed clean at least). Other guests tend to congregate in the courtyard until all hours of the evening, and can sometimes be very loud (not Bourbon Street loud, but still tough if you're trying to sleep - bring earplugs just in case).

The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to each end of the French quarter and the outer districts. Room was comfy and exactly what you would expect staying in the French Quarter.
Our room was at the very front of the hotel, essentially in the front lobby. Every and anytime someone came in, staff were listening to a show or something on their mobile device, or someone walked by our window it was LOUD. We did not get much sleep the entire trip because of this.

I love staying on Bourbon street, but staying on Royal this time around was very nice. it was quaint quite and cute. The rooms are so cute, and I love the architecture and background behind the building since it’s so old and has so much character. The staff was very friendly making it even easier to come and go as we pleased
The only thing was the bed was a little creaky so every move I made I feel like anybody could hear it lol, that’s really the only thing that I could think of, but obviously having a creaky bed didn’t affect the stay whatever

We got a street side balcony as a bonus upgrade when we checked in. Zach was a gracious host and help keep our bags for us before our room was ready then helped carry our bags up the stairs to our room. He gave us great food advice too.
We got a balcony room and the street musicians were loud almost to midnight. The pipes in the bathroom were leaking which caused water to pool on the bathroom floor potentially causing a fall hazard.
