Our motel room was very clean, and very tastefully decorated. There would have been a fine view of the bay from our deck, except that it was foggy while we were there. The grounds are very well-kept and attractive. The bed was comfortable, and the WIFI worked well. The only negative was that it was a bit chilly the evening we were there, but the heating mode on the room's split ductless heat pump unit wasn't working. I reported it to the person in the office, and he said he would have it checked out the next day. He then offered the use of a portable radiator heater, and even had one of the staff come over to the room with one and set it up for us... great service.

We loved being able to see the Penobscot Bay from our cottage. Loved the floral welcome - scented and gorgeous. The staff were very great. John made some very helpful suggestions. The king bed was very comfortable and the bathroom and the kitchenette adequate. I think a few more hooks would be helpful for hanging a robe or jacket. Great jumping off point for going to Camden and Acadia. Downtown Belfast was lovely. Seaport was interesting.

The exterior could use a little love. Barnacles on fence and deck should be power washed off.

This was our second stay here. We came back because of the beach (rocky Maine beach, not sand but not boulders). The water was warm, which is great. This year we stayed in a one-bedroom cottage unit that had a two-burner stove small frig and a deep sink. The size was fine for making breakfast and lunch at the unit. The unit had a 3/4 bath which was fine.

The only issues we had was the King size bed was too big for the room. The built-in dresser had a spare pillow and blanket in it so only one drawer was usable, an issue in the small space.

2nd room was great clean nice drive up.bedding had laundry soap smell so if your sensitive bring your own has a great deck

The first room was full of some kind of perfume I had booked ahead and requested ground floor no perfumes...was first told no other rooms available.when I went in instead of husband and asked if any of the other rooms had not been checked into then they let me switch to one that was not smelly.that switch should have been easy . I had to end up very upset and thinking I had to find another motel before the switch was agreed to.

Spectacular view! Literally feet from the water. Lovely accommodation. Comfortable bed. Next time will get the cottage with separate living room. I have already marked my calendar for January….to make my summer 2025 reservation! Dora, front office, was a peach.

2 windows needed to be propped open, to stay up. Deck didn’t have a roof for sun cover. But I did not check, with the office, for available umbrella. Neither of these issues will deter me from making my next reservation

Colonial Gables Oceanfront Village is one of the best places we have stayed at. The accommodations were excellent. Our cottage was spacious, clean and the beds were very comfortable. the grounds were beautiful and well kept. Every cottage and hotel rooms had a beautiful view. Family, pet and ppl friendly, fire pit for the evenings swingset for kids, horseshoe pits volleyball corn hole games. Location was great, easy halfway points north and south for sightseeing, nature, and history. We will definitely be back.

Only 1 thing we did not like is that we couldn't stay longer there.

The location on the beach, really fantastic. Our cottage was small, but very cozy.

The bed seemed very nice, but unfortunately when sleeping on it, the mattress was not comfortable and the pillows were old and different from each other. The very thin blanket and the bedspread sewn in several places, very old lamps and the armchairs did not have a nice fabric to look at. On the patio only a small, slightly larger smoking table would have allowed you to eat outside.

It was very pleasant . Cottages are on hillside overlooking a rocky beach . Typically no strong surf ,good for children . Short drive to Belfast . We were in #3, closest to the office. Not thrilled with location at first but we had lots of room,nice well equipped kitchenette, good storage areas , comfortable chairs and a deck . Good value compared to others in the area

Hard to discern differences between the cottage offerings

The location to the harbor front was picturesque... The cottage was the cutest little stay. we were upper level and could see all the surroundings. the staff was friendly. this was affordable and the perfect stopping point as we.made our way up the coast. the restaurants and shopping in Belfast was a gteat match and short.drive for us. italian,.restaurant,.seafood.and.icecream topped our list. food was delicious. we would recommend Belfasr.and these.cottages to anyone looking for a quiet retreat. 2.nights was just.right for us.

the only disadvantage to.the location would be activities, entertainment, night life.... but.for us that did.not.matter. we enjoy doing.nothing but walking, reading, eating.and trail at.moose.point

We stayed at one bed cottage and one king room. Both are spacious. the cottage has two full bathrooms, two queen beds and pull-out sofa bed in the living room good for six people family. Fireplace in the living room is very cozy for cool nights. The place is very close to downtown and Joung's Lobster Pound to get fresh seafood bring back and cook for dinner at the cottage. Sitting in the porch during sun set and sun rise was incredible.
