The property was delightful and the views from our bedroom was spectacular. Bob was the perfect host, mkaing us extremely welcome and cooking an amazing breakfast for both mornings we were there. We would love to return one day.

The only negative ai can think of is nothing to do with the B&B itself, but more related to it's location (which was spectacular!) - the nearest restaurants were a few miles away and there were no taxis available out there in the sticks so one of us had to be the nominated driver each night,

We stayed in the Kennebec suite in the cottage, which is a lovely room with a balcony and nice view of the cove. The bed was very comfortable and we liked the small gas woodstove for the chilly night. The breakfast was OK (pesto scrambled eggs, 2 local sausages, toast, OJ and good coffee), but not as good as I had anticipated based on the pics and reviews and other B&B's we have stayed at. It is a nice quite location, yet not far from Bath, Boothbay, Brunswick, Freeport & Portland. We enjoyed spending half a day at Reid State Park, which is super close and very beautiful. It's nice the B&B has kayaks as well, and a very sweet cat :)

Each morning's breakfast was delicious. Bob was an excellent host. We enjoyed having the opportunity to talk with other folks who were staying there.

The one thing you can't change is the location. It was a serene setting and, even though the drives are quick to other locations (e.g., town, beach, restaurants, etc.), it felt a smidge too remote for me. That was not a deal breaker, and we would still stay at Coveside again if we were in that vicinity.

This was an amazing place! We had just gotten married and were looking for a quiet restful place to relax in a beautiful setting. Coveside completely exceeded our expectations! The room was huge, the bed was incredibly comfortable and firm, the view was so peaceful. Can't wait to return!

Bob, the host, was very hospitable, creating a friendly atmosphere, and cooking a delicious breakfast, every morning something different and creative, served at comfortable tables, inside and out. The view was gorgeous, the room was open and airy, decorated with exquisite taste. We enjoyed meeting the other guests either at breakfast or on the grounds. At Bob's suggestion, we visited the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and were totally wowed. We spent hours walking the beach in nearby Reid State Park and the beautiful Popham Beach not far away. Great eating options nearby, including Anchor Bar & Grill and Five Islands Lobster Pound. Good to book ahead for evening meals. Bob did everything to make us comfortable. Can't wait to go back.

Truly lovely spot, quiet and secluded. Not for swimming but on the high tide you can kayak about. Low tide is really a mud flat.

Not much interaction with the hosts. No-one to greet upon arrival. Odd for the price paid. Not a friendly vibe for a B&B.

Our overnight stay at Coveside provided the total recharge we were seeking. Bob is a true super host in every sense of the word, from his eye for the finest interior decor to his exquisite culinary skills, creating a divine breakfast with locally sourced ingredients. All this, combined with the stunning view from the Kennebec suite is simply unbeatable during any season.

I didn’t like that this question stumped me. There was no response I could think of other than this!

The breakfast was amazing - home cooked surprises every morning. The strawberry and rhubarb crisp was to die for. Our room (Sheepscott Suite) was beautifully decorated with a toasty warm fire and a balcony offering a view over the water. Beautiful remote, quiet location.

The wifi wasn‘t great, but we were on holiday!

The most ideal place to relax. Loved the view of the bay and the Innkeeper was friendly and made a terrific breakfast. Having access to a common area screened in porch was a plus!

I really don't have much to say that I didn't like. Perhaps a small table to add to the private balcony would be my only suggestion.

The room was beautiful with a lovely view of the Sheepscott River with the bay beyond. Very quiet spot.

There’s no restaurant onsite although the Innkeeper, Bob makes an excellent breakfast!
