We stayed twice during our recent trip from/to DTW airport. It is the perfect distance from the airport and gives a head start for heading up to northern MI or the airport. Great breakfast. Beautiful rooms. Windows that open to allow fresh air. Beautiful garden. Pool. Exercise room. Business services. In spite of being busy, rooms are quiet. Halls spacious. This hotel is well managed and looked after. Day staff are particularly friendly.

Both stays the welcome in the evening, and it was late both times, felt like we were being 'processed.' I don't recall feeling this way when staying here in the past. I would have preferred a warm welcome. However, it may be that staff need to be especially professional and strictly business at night and I respect that. One thing that would really help is crisp bed linen for the summer months. The bedding is very soft and cozy and slightly lumpy with the mattress cover. Great for winter. Less so in the summer.

The staff at check in was awesome!! We were in Ann Arbor for a family member at the UofM Hospital and did even make it to check in until 10 pm. The staff was just so incredibly nice and accommodating. The hotel and the room were just impeccably maintained and clean, we were very impressed. I didn't even realize we received a free breakfast which was a bonus and the ladies that were working the kitchen and breakfast area were just amazing. Staff has the best attitudes and that comes from good leadership! Definitely will recommend!

Clean

We arrived at 12:30 am, as we stated in our reservation. The door was locked, so we could not get in to register. There was no sign stating what to do, so we called the hotel desk and there was no answer. We saw someone after knocking on the glass door for about 10 minutes. It was the desk clerk and she was very rude. She said the computer doesn't let her assign rooms after midnight. She was angry with us, but since we had pre-paid she finally gave us a room. If I had not pre-paid, we would have left and found another place that would welcome myself and the children.

A great hotel with spacious and comfy rooms. The bed was also quité good. The staff extremely attentive and kind. Los of amenities. The gsrden was small but cute and the gym was ok.

I stayed for a week and missed the laundry service. The WiFi was a but on and off in my room. A low mark on the sustainability front I was apalled by the use of exclusively plastic plates and cutlery at the breakfast buffet. Also, they have no policy in place about daily towel washing.

We were most excited about the pool and hot tub. The room was beautiful and comfortable. It was really nice.

The hot tub was luke-warm, instead of the normal 104° that hot tubs are supposed to be, to be considered a hot tub. Also, it was like -3° outside, and their hallways outside of the rooms were freezing. Like they had no heat on at all in the main building. Which isn't a great idea when you've got an indoor pool in your hotel. Everyone was absolutely freezing walking back to their rooms. It wasn't just us. Little kids were shivering walking down the hall with the tiny thin towels they supply at the pool. Heat should be on in the main building in the winter. It's really just common sense.

good breakfast - buffet style; great price; pool looked cool - didn't use it though; kids spent time playing billiard and table soccer; nice service; room service on a daily basis (not the norm anymore); many dinner options; not far into downtown (if you have a car) or to various highways in the area;

on our departure day we had to leave asap; wanted to have breakfast at 6:55 but ladies wouldn't allow us to start getting food because they "only opened at 7 am" (rolling eyes inserted)

Brandon was fabulous! Very nice and easy to talk to. He was very knowledgeable about the area and was able to help us find dinner and have it delivered to the hotel. The hot tub was nice and the whole place looked immaculate. We enjoyed the pool area and look forward to coming there again in the future. We have stayed in Ann Arbor before and we're not satisfied where we stayed as much as we did the Regent.

The only thing I did not like about this place was the breakfast was a little on the cheap side. But for the price of the room it was acceptable.

It was super quiet, most of the days we stayed there wasn't too many people there up until the last night we were there but it was still super quiet and people weren't obnoxious like they are at other places, it was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the location was perfect, I don't remember the lady's name who checked us in but she was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. She really knows what customer service means, and one of the cleaning lady's was super helpful as well and friendly our keys stopped working on our door and thank God she was there and let us know we had to go down and get them reactivated. Anytime we seen her around in the hallways she greeted us and asked how we were doing. Everyone we encountered here was super friendly it's rare getting that anymore, lol. I would 100% recommend staying here if your looking for somewhere to stay in the area. They also have a indoor pool and hot tub it was nice to sit in the hot tub for awhile.

Nothing really, maybe a few more options for food or breakfast items but other then that nothing.

A very clean, comfortable hotel with some fun features (billiards etc), nice pool and hot tub in a pretty atrium, good breakfast in a clean dining room, friendly staff, great layout, and just enough fancy touches to feel a little elegant but still down to earth. Seemed a tad too high priced for a non-event week night, location and level of hotel it is but these days most hotels/motels in the U.S. seem to be overpriced for their class. I guess I have to adjust.

Putting this down not because it bothered me much, but because it makes a poor first impression of a hotel that deserves better. That is the carpet in the elevator was very badly soiled and needed a good vacuuming. High traffic area hard to keep clean, but its small. Swap it out every year. :)
